I was experiencing a very strong sewer gas smell in my home that ultimately ended up being stagnant water beneath the foundation. Until it was finally determined though, the smell and the symptoms it was causing, required me to keep all my windows open during cold, snowy weather. Brian Hale and his crew came several times to try and help me figure out the cause because I thought it was a sewer gas leak. They were all very patient and knowledgeable with reasonable and fair pricing. They tested the indoor plumbing and felt the issue was below the foundation (which did end up being the case), which was outside their scope of work since it wasn't a plumbing issue. Brian in particular was very respectful, humble, knowledgeable, and helpful in answering my many questions as I was desperate to find a cause and solution to the problem. I would definitely highly recommend and hire them again for plumbing issues due to their professionalism, respectful and helpful attitudes, plumbing knowledge, quick response, and fair pricing. I also called them again this morning because I had an emergency water pipe breakage. It was a Saturday morning, so they weren't technically in, but Brian still called me back within 5 minutes to see if I had found help yet. Highly recommend!

I hired this company to check on my sewer line after failing the smoke test in 2010. Because B Hale Inc was doing a great deal of the sewer line repair in Westmont borough I was given their name. Mr Hale came and gave us an estimate, we said yes and then we waited......After a couple of months we received the call that they were coming to do the work. We had an idea where the sewer line was but were unsure of the exact location. The worker he left to do the digging was a recent hire due to the amount of work his company garnered after all the sewer repairs that were required in the borough. Mr. Hale got the new guy started, assured me they knew what they were doing and left to check on another job. The employee proceeded to dig up a HUGE portion of my side yard destroying the drainage system beside our house. This was not the sewer system but a completely separate system. There was broken pvc pipe everywhere. I told him he was digging in the wrong place stopped the work and called Mr. Hale. He assured me the drainage field would be put back in working order at no expense to me. They found the sewer pipe (where my husband and I thought) about 20 yards away from the destroyed drainage field and fixed that. They put new pvc back to replace what had been destroyed, covered up the drain field area and left. That was November 2010. My basement that had NEVER flooded prior to this has flooded multiple times since then. The water is flooding up from the drains in the floor. Not sewer water but water that the drainage system they destroyed carried away from the house.These floods have been MAJOR floods! Insurance claim floods! It doesn't take an idiot to see that this problem was caused by the disaster created when they destroyed the drainage field. I called Mr. Hale after the 2nd flood and he of course stated that he had nothing to do with it and felt no obligation to come check to make sure he had put the drainage system back together properly. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! He did not stand by his work and evidently cares nothing about customer service once the cash is in his pocket. The carelessness with which he handled the work at our house has cost us thousands of dollars. DO NOT hire this company. We paid dearly for it!
