Craig and Justus did a wonderful job installing my new toilet! B and G were recommended by George Morlan and I could not be happier as to the work they did. They were relaxed,KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, AND FINISHED THE JOB IN LITTLE OVER AN HOUR!!! some of my prior experiences with other plumbing companies were definitely not so pleasant! Their mechanical ability along with their willingness to explain the various features of my new toilet are appreciated. This is a company that appears to be well run and very organized in what they are doing. Thank you Craig and Justus!

This company is committed to their promises and to their customers. I am impressed.
It was the night of Thanksgiving when we discovered that our aging gas water heater had stopped working. It had happened once before and we were hoping a simple re-light would solve the problem. I found this place online and the site said open until midnight. I kid you not this was 11:25pm on Thanksgiving. I called and a very reasonable person asked me about the situation. I needed just the make and model to get an idea of our options. The tech named Bobo said he would come out that very minute if he had the parts but it would have to wait until the morning. He showed up at 7:40am just like he promised with another tech and got to work. They even instinctively took their shoes off every time they came in from the truck.
He found out our heater was older than expected and was outside general company policy to work on but he did anyway because he had promised as much. It turned out our situation was worse case scenario. We could wait a week without hot water for the part or get the whole unit replaced. He said it would cost exactly $1250 and take only an hour. He happened to have the replacement model in his truck. We were going on a trip this very morning and I had to make an expensive decision. We committed to the replacement and yes they were done in an hour. They didn't even need to negotiate with any details about how it was to be installed, any changes to the pipes. They explained their plan once and got it done. I didn't even hear when they wheeled out the old unit. I paid him on the spot. There was a labor warrenty, but no exhaustive paperwork to go through. The crises only set back our travel plans about 30 minutes.
They were fast, honest, and even quiet.

The owner and all of his employees are not just skilled plumbers but fabulous human beings. I don't write reviews often but I LOVE this company. As long as they are in business I will never need go anywhere else for my plumbing needs. I've been using them for repairs over five years now on my old 1924 bungalow with old rusty pipes. Hoping to be able to have them re-plumb my entire house in the near future.

Amazing! I called inquiring about a water heater repair and felt he thoroughly explained my options. He even offered to come by just to take a look. My husband and I decided to purchase a new one and have it installed, and he and his son showed up within the hour. They were really friendly; installed the new heater and hauled the old one away. I'm so happy my family won't have to start our morning with cold showers. Thanks for showing up on a whim, even at 9pm! I would definitely use them again.

On the final bill they charged $330/h plus materials of course. The work was ok but they did not disclose the pricing up front and when asking about it they said they did tell about it and made up a story about it even if we had everything in emails including the specific scope of work.
With the correction to the pricing behavior the review would be better but I don't like businesses that work without integrity even if the work done would be ok. Also they cancelled twice, thought that was not a big problem the price was the main surprise and the pricing was never disclosed.

Had these guys out again. Another exceptionally awesome experience. Seriously hard working and eager to please the customer. Fixed three problems in the one hour service call. It was just dumb luck when they were the ones George Morlan contracted for my water heater. But the other two times I used their services will make me their customer for life.

Super bowl Sunday: I discover I have no hot water with another snow storm coming, and my husband says no way will we find someone to come out and repair our hot water heater with Super Bowl in a few hours. Kent and his son from B & G Excavation and Plumbing came out within an hour of my phone call. They diagnosed the problem, drove across town to get the part and came back to fix it...hot water within the hour of their departure! I am so pleased with their speedy service and willingness to come out on Super Bowl Sunday. Thanks, guys! We will definitely call you first every time.

I'm so thankful to have found this company!

Yesterday, our neighbor saw water gushing from the side of our home. When we looked inside of the garage, there was water all over the floors. My husband immediately shut off the water valve for the entire house. Water is always essential to have, but being snowed in without access to our cars and having a small baby makes it even more important. It was an emergency that we get water restored ASAP! We called our home insurance company for assistance, and they set us up with a plumbing company that could come out on Wednesday! It was Saturday morning! We called our home insurance company back and being that we had a newborn they made it an expedited request which meant that they would look for someone to come out sooner. To make a long story short, they were unable to find anyone willing or able to come out so they advised us to find our own plumber.

We called all of the plumbing companies in Vancouver that were open and those that answered either didn't want to come out or were booked until the week after, others didn't even return our phone calls. It was now Sunday afternoon, and we called more plumbing companies, this time we ventured out to Portland companies. When we called was B&G plumbing, Kent answered the call; I could tell he was working. He was so kind and attentive. He said that he had a personal mission to restore water by the end of the day to those in need. A couple of hours later two angels in plumbing boots showed up to restore our water; Tanner and Justice. Within the hour our water was restored. The price was well under what we thought we would have to pay for an emergency call on a Sunday night in a different state!

We will need to have restoration because of prolonged water damage, and we will for sure be using B&G for this as well.
