Thank you Kenny and Edgar!
We had to scope and auger twice, but in the end things are managed and I am no longer terrified to flush. Masks worn, care given to the flooring, genuinely nice humans!

Went from good to bad experiences with them on installing water heaters. From a reasonable price on one job to a price jump and attitude. One worker showed up with a guest, I wouldn't even call her a worker. Even a no show after scheduling a job. The work and the quote were questionably far apart. I would not recommend them based on experience and attitude from the workers and whoever is scheduling.

Unethical work practices. After doing a job for which they charged almost 5,000$ the toilet was still gurgling and overflowing. When asked about their warranty they said they had fixed what they had been asked to fix and other than that it would be out of pocket.
I just bought the house and have to have this situation fixed.
I truly do not recommend this company unless you have simple jobs that they can handle, other than that, stay away.

My sewer main stopped up.
Got an estimate from another company that had quite a wide price range because supposedly they couldn't see the sewer main clearly with their scope due to water in the line. I called this other company because they had a great come on rate: ""If we can't fix your drain for $90, you don't have to pay us anything"". Well, needless to say, I was suckered by their come-on. So after realizing their
business model is to get their foot in your door and hit you up with price-gouging numbers knowing that alot of people in their desperation to get their toilet working asap will pay their price, especially since it was a Friday night late. So, since I knew I could get by for awhile, I called around Saturday morning and George Moreland recommended B&G Excavation. Called them. Bobo, the owner, came to my property within 3 hours, quickly assessed the problem,
gave me a firm bid $1300 below the other company's low end of their range. Also gave me a senior and military discount on top of that.
During the course of the repair, the root damaged pipe extended below the sidewalk 6ft down. A lot of contractors would have required the sidewalk be removed for adequate access. The replacement sidewalk cost would have been on me. But because Bobo had the right size backhoe and skill to maneuver it, saved me a bunch on a sidewalk repair.

Update: I had another plumber do the job and when all was said and done they charged me $332. These guys quoted me $1100. Hard not to see that as predatory at worst or just incompetent at best.

Yeah it sounds like I had the same experience as the review done by TG. As soon as the young guys walked in the House I asked how much it was going to be they told me 175 an hour they were here for two hours.... they took an hour to go get a part which usually takes me 15 minutes. Now I do claims and I've been to George Morlan multiple times so I know exactly how long this takes and how much I should be charged. They kept saying the boss told me how much to charge. They tried adding different things at the end and how they got to 525 I told him point-blank no way I will pay you for two hours of your time and the part. And I will never use them in the future this was supposed to be a business relationship to use them in the future I don't think so.......My instincts say that they are not trustworthy. Plus on the way and they were whispering to each other... Not professional people at all

I have worked with a great number of contractors over the years, and I consider B&G to be the most professional, courteous, fair and responsive of them all. They recently did the plumbing work for our new bathroom, replaced our sanitary sewer line and repaved our driveway - all in the span of about a week and a half while juggling numerous other jobs.
In particular, my family and I were in a sewer emergency, and B&G came right out, we discussed options, decided on a course of action and they were literally digging the trench for the new sewer 10 minutes later. With a crew of a dozen people working on it the remainder of the day, we had a functioning sewer that night. The price was also super reasonable, to the point where I didn't even bother with other bids.
One thing I really like about B&G is the teaching and mentorship that is constantly going on between Bobo, the owner, his senior crew leads and the junior staff. Yesterday we had B&G out for a small job and I asked the two guys how they like working for Bobo and one of them didn't even hesitate: ""Best boss ever, and it's not even close"". Personally I really like supporting businesses that support young people developing skills that they can put to work supporting themselves and their families. Clearly for Bobo, it isn't just about making money or delivering a good product. It's about giving something back, too.
Simply put, I can not recommend B&G highly enough.

B&G plumbing has saved me twice in emergency plumbing situations. A few years ago I had a water main break in my front yard, they were able to get out and repair the break after hours for a reasonable amount. Yesterday, I had a contractor break a pipe in my crawlspace. They were at my house in 30 minutes and had the pipe repaired in very little time. Their restoration team moved in next to clean up and dry out the space. I can't say enough about how responsive and profession Bobo and his crew!

the handle on my walk in tub broke and the company is in new jersey I called B&G based on george Morlans recommendation..two young guys showed up and admitted they knew nothing about walk in tubs but their parts guy knew alot. with his help they put together a new hot water faucet handle...it works perfectly!!! better than the original. They were prompt they had good help and they managed to fix something when I had no hope!!! I think they deserve a kudos for problem solving their parts man needs a raise and the company was the right choice for me I know if the cold water faucet handle breaks where to go for help...thank you guys again!!!

These guys are a scam. First came to my house for a bid from an inspection report to look at a leaking pipe. At no point in our conversation was it ever made clear that there would be a charge for them coming out to look at this. At the end, they diagnosed the problem, wrote an estimate and charged me $175. When I had them come out to do the work, they were late. When they did show up, the new person that showed up said there's no reason to replace that pipe because it isn't leaking. ""Bobo said it need to be replaced!"" hollered a guy from the van. At this point they realized they didn't have the right parts. So they left for another 30 min. They returned to complete the job. Upon completion, they had to call Bobo to see what it cost to do the job. $750. I mentioned that I had already paid the $175 for them to come out, so it should be $575. They had to call Bobo to make sure that was ok, even though I'm holding the original receipt in my hand. Bobo says it's ok to take the $175 off, so I go inside to get my payment. When I return it's actually $605 because I had to pay $30 for parts...So I guess the total was actually $780? Why wouldn't Bobo have just told them that from the beginning? I was really hoping to find a plumber that could count on and call whenever I need something. These are not the guys.
