Would like to give NEGATIVE STARS to this company! What a rip off!
We had Dolan come to our house that was under contract for sale, for an evaluation on our septic system, here in Whiting, NJ. Dolan was chosen by our buyers for the septic evaluation. Dolan stated that we needed a whole new system and that our septic field had failed and needed to be replaced. We were utterly shocked, as the septic system was working properly for years and we had no idea there was a problem. Dolan said it would be $$10,000.00 to repair our problem!!! We were told the system had poor flow. We also found out Dolan had done a similar scheme to our other neighbor. SO -
We sought another opinion from Brewers Septic Service a local Whiting company. They checked the system and to our amazement, they said we had a partially crushed feed pipe to our distribution box. Just under $700 dollars later we completely repaired and didn't need a complete system replacement. We had heard locally that Dolan was not very good and often found every system that they check to need a complete replacement. Dolan did not treat us well and was dishonest. THANKS BREWERS Septic Service, for your honest evaluation and proper diagnosis!! You saved us from a horrific experience and thousands of dollars!
Bottom line - DON'T CHOOSE DOLAN!

My initial impression, when we needed emergency service on New Year's Eve 2019, was awesome. And the work they did to install a new system was done well.

However, their follow ups and communications with us (the client) could be better. Also, we have experienced smells coming from the new system consistently since the install. They have attributed this to not cleaning the filter, but the smells continue despite doing this.

I am in the process of requesting them to come out and service the system as we are putting the house on the market. I will update my review after this service is completed.

Terrible! Didn't show up for scheduled appt. didn't call! when i called they made some excuse about an employee in a cast and he couldn't come in the rain. indictated they would be there the next day and still never showed up or called again. this reminded us we used them previous and they raised the price quoted after job was complete with no additional gallons or work. We called another company much more professional and responsive!

I have had issues I couldn't even begin to understand. When I called Dolan a very nice lady named Laura answered and immediately put my mind and my problems to rest. When I say Laura knows her stuff she KNOWS HER STUFF. She not only in explicit detail explained everything they would be doing in detail she gave me a description of what to expect before during and after. When I called what I thought was way too many times for questions Laura assured me repeatedly everything would be fine and I have to say it WAS MORE then fine. Everything Laura said was going to happen did and exactly how & when. Thank you Laura & Dolan for your awesome job.

This company has made the selling of my current home and buying of the next a complete mess. They have claimed to have mistakenly ""shredded"" all records pertaining to the $12,000+ job they were hired to complete less than five years ago. I believe the ""shredding mistake"" is actually being used as an excuse to hide the fact that they never LEGALLY and COMPLETELY filed the permit to do this work in the first place. Avoid this company at any costs or be prepared for a lengthy nightmare with no real solution.

We've always avoided buying houses with septic systems but after hiring Dolan it is no longer an issue. All around one of the best companies we've ever worked with. Laura and Bill are wonderful. They go above and beyond for their customers and we will always call them for any septic needs.

I was extremely happy with the work Bill and Laura did at my home. If you want to work with people who know their trade and can get the job done on schedule and high quality, talk to Laura and Bill.

I was in process of selling my home and had to have some major work done on a septic that was 40 years old. Laura knew we were on a pretty tight schedule to hit a closing date. She took care of everything from permits to town and county health inspections required and made sure the work was completed on time.

They took a lot of time surveying the existing system, dug up a couple seepage tanks to take closer look, took a lot of pictures,
and spoke to an engineer and county inspector before preparing a very thorough proposal.

in the 5 days they were working? they sent me videos and pictures of the progress and called me daily with updates


They are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the work they for and I found them to be very honest. They also guarantee their work.

I called them last July to pump out my tank. They took the time to find that a tree planted near the tank 45 years ago had sent roots into the distribution box and destroyed it. They dug out the two seepage pits and cleaned them out and added new drainage gravel. They did a good job of leveling the yard when they were done. If you have an old system, it is a good idea to get it dug up and examined before you have a problem.

I contacted B Dolan yesterday at 4pm for a septic/main line backup in a residential group home . Laura was fantastic and assembled the crew and they were out to the home by 5. We had major ,self inflicted, issues created by our residents with special needs . The lines and first tank were totally impacted . With much perseverance they were able to clear the lines and the system of the impasse using a jet system . A camera was also used to determine we had a bad inlet / outlet baffle issue which was corrected , removed a past broken snake 9 which impeded flow and just assure them and us that the lines were all cleared . I cannot say enough about the communication from the site to myself , who wasn't there . They didn't worry at all about payment during the process it was all about rectifying the situation so our residents didn't have to be relocated . They made some recommendations on what the future needs are for the system which we will address( adding a filter) and a yearly pm pump out with a quarterly screen cleaning . Also they recommended a go forward game plan for our residents as to what and what not to flush . Being again we are dealing with people with disabilities . Side note they were charged a hefty fee at the disposal MUA site ( due to the content ) and refused to pass the extra fee over to us . That is unheard of in this day and age. I cannot express enough the gratitude myself and my non profit company extend to Laura and the entire B Dolan Septic Sewer and Drain company . They will definitely get the call for any septic and drain issues within their area of coverage . Thanks again so much !
