Great service. Called at 8:30 and the guys were here at 9:30.

Fixed my tenant's water heater and serviced our heater. Anthony and John (I think - am terrible with names) were friendly, got straight to it and did a great job.

May not be the cheapest but am more than happy to pay for great service like that.

I've had many good experiences with the skilled technicians at B & D, but this last one deserves special mention. I was initially charged for a visit that pursued a tricky problem, and in the end, despite honest efforts, was unable to resolve it. When I spoke with Bill about it, he agreed that the visit had not been useful and agreed not to charge me. It is that kind of service orientation and honest dealing that keeps me a happy customer.

We have had more than one plumber ""fix"" our toilet issues (old building) and not until B&D did our problems actually get fixed. Their prices were pretty much the same as other plumbers we've used. The guys were polite and focused on the job. They got it done and we haven't had a problem since. I would definitely call B&D again. They seem like local guys and from my experience do quality work.

I love these guys. No, not the cheapest, but they come and do the job right, whether it's replacing a boiler or fixing a leaky toilet.

I try to have them come and fix multiple things at once, which cuts back on the service fee.

Great plumbers - and how often can you say that???

Recently had Tony and Neil over for our kitchen remodel - truly stellar service! Tony was extremely knowledgeable - he saved us the costs of the contractor breaking down a wall in the basement and repairing that wall to get to a pipe by running the line a different way. His suggestion didn't cost us a penny more on his end either, so I knew he wasn't looking to make an extra buck, he truly thought out the best way to do the job.

Both guys were professional, detail-oriented, and went above and beyond to get the job done quickly. Couldn't be more pleased than I am - thank you B&D!

In the fall, Chris and Eric had serviced our radiators and boiler - they also did a fantastic job and didn't try to push a new boiler on us, even though ours is pretty old. Their honesty, professionalism, knowledge, and thoroughness is what prompted us to use B&D again for our kitchen project.

Not that I hope to ever have plumbing issues, but if I do, B&D will be the company I turn to. Having an honest, hard-working plumber that I trust to do the job right the first time is truly peace of mind! We are so glad they travel to Queens!!

I strongly recommend them - and I am not a person to give out accolades easily!

Bill Sr. and Jr. have always been helpful and polite. Most importantly, I trust them to do good work and give good information. As other posters have mentioned, rates are not low, but I have never met a reputable, professional plumber who is not expensive. Electricians too, for that matter. If you are looking for a bargain, use a handyman, but you are taking a risk...

I have used B & D for several years now to repair my Endurance hot water heater/boiler. They always try to work with me in terms of scheduling, keep a history of the issues and are able to explain to me what is wrong and repair it quickly. They are responsible, professional, and nice. I wish they were a little less expensive though!

We have been using B&D for plumbing and heating for years. They are not the cheapest, but they know what they're doing; they come quickly; and they come in twos so the work gets done fast. Called them last week with a backed up sink and they were here within the HALF hour. Unbelievable response time. I got tired of chasing after elusive independent contractor plumbers. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that it hurts to pay the bill. But hey, it's the city. And I know I won't have to call a second person to fix the last guy's job. Also, if you have a problem with the bill, they are open to discussion.

I discovered B&D about 5 years ago when a wall-hung boiler I had installed (by a different plumber) started to constantly shut down. Ultimately, the manufacturer led me to B&D who, after a year of the other plumber not being able to resolve the issue, was able to determine that it had been installed incorrectly & fixed the problem. I have been using them ever since. They are always professional & always show up when they say they will. I have recommended them to everyone in my building and now 90% of the residents use them for their various plumbing needs. It is nice to have a competent & reliable plumbing company in the neighborhood!
