we had a problem with our hot water heater the tech came out was very kind and understanding he attempted to asses the problem but unfortunately it wasn't fully repaired we called the tech and he said hes going to come out again which he did with no secondary charge thank you so much bill! a real pleasure to work with.

We had a problem with our hot water. They were able to get a plumber out the next morning and were able to assess the problem and fix it within about 15 minutes. During that time, the plumber also diagnosed a different problem we had with our boiler and also managed to correct the issue in that time.

The rudest customer service ever!!
Also they have a 4 hour window and absolute unwillingness to work out the scheduling with you!! When i told them that its impossible for someone to be taking the day off and to hang around the house and wait for them, the person on the phone basically said that thats our problem and we will need to figure it out. When i asked if there's possibility if they can come after 3pm, she said they work until 4!! Who in this kind of business works only until 4!!!??? Then i asked if they can give us an 45 min- 1hour advance, so i can get there she said it's not possible....With such a rude customer service it's surprising they are still in business!!

B & D Plumbing and Heating have been servicing our brownstone for over 12 years and have never let us down!!! Recently, our heat system stopped working and Julio and Anthony went the extra mile to make sure that our Nest system was working and our house was warm before they left. Yesterday, we stopped having hot water. I called them at 8am in the morning and they arrived before noon, assessed the problem and were able to change out the old hot water tank and replace it in no time. Steve and Anthony were kind, courteous and thoughtful as they had to make their way through multiple layers of our house and basement!!!!
We thank everyone who works at B & D! They are all kind and amazing! Thank you B & D!!!

Red & Joe saved my hot water, my heat, and my sanity. I'd had a broken boiler for two weeks and my landlord was non-responsive and I was ready to burn my house to the ground just to finally be warm again. I made an appointment w/ B&D because I have a Navien boiler (and most places in Brooklyn don't deal with those). I called on a Monday and made the earliest appointment--Thursday--but then Tuesday morning they called and said their schedule had changed and they could be there soon. (Amazing!) The guys were super knowledgable, friendly, and non-intimidating, and seemed pretty affordable given how much work they did. I'm a total layman but I was beyond happy with their service.

Very professional. I called and explained the problem which was a leaking hot water heater. I sent them pictures of the heater and they came right away. Replaced it same day. They were very neat and friendly. Would use for all my plumbing repairs.

Not cheap, but reliable and willing to help when things go wrong (which is always on a weekend or a Saturday night).

These guys are professional plumbers. So if you're looking to save some money, bring in a handyman first. However if you know it's a boiler issue it's probably a safe bet to go with them right away.

I once spoke with a real estate lawyer and his advice to me was....stay as far away as possible from plumbers. Always call a handyman first to see if they can do the job, because they will be more honest and cost less....
1500$ later - i should have listened.
I called B & D plumbing to have our boiler winterised - nothing was really wrong..just wanted to be prepared for the winter....They came, they charged - then i all of the sudden had an error message on the read out - they came, they charged, then i had yet another error message on the read out...they came, they charged....this was over the span of 8 weeks. No discussion was to be had with them regarding their competence to winterise a boiler....
Call a handyman instead of a plumber...the real estate lawyer was right!

These guys charge $225 /hr. I called them up to work on 2 projects on 2 separate boilers at the same location to save $$. They wouldn't touch one boiler. Spend total of 15 minutes and then send me a bill for $225 for labor for the full hour. I asked them to prorate the hour but they refused. they are getting expensive.

I had been very loyal to another local plumber for years but recently had some issues with them, so wanting to keep my business local I called B & D, and very happy I did..

They were very clear on the phone about what there rates are, and were able to have someone over the same day.. The problem turned out to be electrical but were able to get my boiler going anyway. They took care of business !!

I will be sticking with B & D for all my future work..
