I will start and end this review with 2 words... complete incompetence...
On Thanksgiving evening my washing machine decided to keep running water after the cycle completed. I live in a condo where I have stacked washer/dryer in a closet. The water shut off valve is behind the unit and accessible only when the top unit is removed. Luckily the water eventually stopped running, because my unit would have been flooded before they got here on an ""emergency call"". I explicitly explained to Harry, that the running water was from INSIDE the unit, not an external pipe. I learned later that because the water was from inside the unit, the washer repair company was needed; not a plumber. Harry sent two people with this full understanding and knowledge.
Two guys came (as I told them the unit would need to be removed to access the shut off) and removed the unit. Staring straight at the shut off valve, they tried to convince me that it was a mixer (hot/ cold adjustments) and that there was no in unit shut off. They sent a picture to another plumber named Harry who had to tell them it was a shut off valve. Then they claimed that is was stuck and left with the dryer in an exposed area of a covered patio and the water valve unchanged (still on)! Of course it rained... When they sent the picture to Harry, he was insistent that the shut off valve needed to be replaced.
Before they came, I called Harry, who popped a fuse at some simple questions. Warning: do not ask Harry any questions unless you like being disrespected and reviled. He also said he wouldn't replace the valve that he insisted needed changing!
They were scheduled to come back a couple of days later, after the washing repair person came and fixed the unit. He had NO problems with the valve as it turned on and off with ease (it was NOT stuck).
I requested that when they send someone back, to please send someone who knew the difference between a shut-off valve and a mixer. Apparently they were offended by this ask and 2 hours into waiting for their arrival (4 hr window), they cancelled the appointment, and refused to show..

Oh, almost forgot..the lady in the office claimed they didn't charge me a holiday rate, but when I anonymously called for an hourly rate, it was apparent they did.

Two words: complete incompetence!

Quote ($2,000) they gave us AFTER seeing the job was 1/5th of the actual bill ($10,000+) we received after the job was done, even though our house was stripped down to the studs during a remodel where there was no surprise they could find during the job. Complete rip-off and shady business. By the way, if you spend some time comparing prices they charge by the hour, you will quickly realize that they are overpriced. We would not have used them unless our HOA forced us to because they are our HOA's plumber.

I found out about a water pressure issue for a property in Pacific Palisades and got an immediate response from Harry at 8:30 am on a Sunday. He was incredibly helpful in contacting our tenant, having his team get over that same day. More importantly, he called me back several times during the day with updates, and when the work was completed... On a Sunday!

The art of customer service is alive at B&B Plumbing. I highly recommend them.

The plumber/ owner on the phone was very sarcastic and not respectful when I inquired about the price. He also mentioned that he would add taxes on top of taxes! Sounds like they don't care about getting new customers. Customer Beware!!

I use B&B Plumbing when needed, at my home and my 2 rental properties. My work get's prioritized appropriately, with emergency response as quick as possible and scheduled work within a reasonable time frame.

Their plumbers show up on time, are neat and clean and make sure they solve my plumbing problem. Should by chance a problem not get solved the first time, they're back rapidly to make things right.

I've used them for over 20 years and I recommend them all the time!

B & B plumbing was used by the HOA to fix the leak from the neighbors hot water heater. I had hot water leaking under the walls, the bar and under the kitchen sink from underground. They jackhammered the slab in my condo! I had big chunks of cement & pebble size on the placemats and bar stools. There was cement dust everywhere! On the books, bookcases, photos, walls. This all needs to be taken down and out to be cleaned. They do not contain the mess they make and they don't have a cleaning service so you can have a clean house when they are done. The cement they put in the trench they dug out was full of large gravel. It was not even and the floor tiles wouldn't lay flat on it. It had to be ground down. I would never let them work in my house again unless I can supervise everything they do. I'm worried their job was a work around the original plumbing and will it work? I will never call them and don't recommend them! When I can put my furniture back in place I will give them negative stars... I can't post this without giving them 1 start that they don't deserve...

I am a property manager for Homeowners Associations and I can't say enough good things about this vendor. Harry, Harlowe, Sylvia & MaryAnn have all been nothing short of polite and professional each time I call them up for their services at almost all of my HOA's. They have even worked on our own personal properties!

Our office is grateful to count them as one of our vendors! If you need help with any plumbing issues, any of these guys will be able to assist. And if they can't, they will tell you up front so your time isn't wasted. They will always be my first call!

B&B Plumbing did it again! My wife's shower was blocked so we called Harry at B&B and they had someone come out that same day. He cleared the drain and we were able to use the shower that night.

They came in and were very professional and experienced. They were prompt and the technician on site was patient to explain all the steps that were being taken to replace the heater and also took the initiative to replace a valve that had rusted. I am very pleased with the service they provided.
