Now is not the time to do damage control. The time to engage with a customer is when you are dealing with them, not after the fact. I called back twice, first time it was under review and someone would get back asap....that never happened. The second time I was told you were overbooked. Don't act like my review is an aberration, look at the other reviews here. You can only modify your business practices going forward on those customers willing to risk doing business with you. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

No one was trying to take advantage of this company. This company took advantage of an emergent situation and over billed for time not spent on property! That is.a fact! Your poor customer service is what led to this review. And poor is putting it mildly. The two women at the office were despicable to say the least. It's mind boggling this place is still in business. Any apologies should have been made to me directly instead of commenting on my review and attempting to mitigate your behavior by placing blame on alleged stress I may have been under. You never took the time to talk to me to personally, other than to be completely rude and disrespectful!

These guys are most definitely out to rip you off. You would think they at least rob you with a smile, but no, instead, they are rude and nasty to boot. Typical used car salesman approach, estimate low and charge more later once the hooks are in. Do yourself a favor and find another more professional outfit.

About $250/hour and I had multiple issues that needed to be addressed. Due to a severe medical condition I asked him to please remove his shoes before walking on my carpet. Booties or a dusty drop cloth would unfortunately not suffice, based on experience. I was very clear that he can put his shoes back on once in the bathroom and kitchen where the work needed to be done. And at least those floors can be washed, easily. It was a simple request and he refused and passed up the job. By his reaction you'd think I asked him to strip naked. He called the company then came back to pack up his things and left in a huff. This is my home and I'm paying him a massive amount of money and it was too much of an inconvenience for him to respect this simple request as a customer. He seemed like he had a chip off his shoulder from the beginning as well, which was off putting to say the least. As a former business owner myself I am well aware of the importance of friendliness and making your customer feel like you value them and their business and first impressions really do go a long way. I did not get that from him at all. Well, no longer will I be a customer and I'll be sure to let others know of this should they be considering using this company in the future.

Garbage people... who like to rob you... beware!!!!
They take advantage of people in emergencies and treat you like garbage. Zero class and zero customer service experience. Look elsewhere, they should be reported to the bbb.

The hose to the faucet under the sink broke and flooded the cabinet under the sink. We are new to the area, and a carpenter recommened them since they serve the housing community where he lives.
The plumber replaced it with a lousy faucet. The only settings are hot and cold -- no luke warm; and it can only shut off in the cold position or it runs. They returned when I told them I was not happy with it. I was not happy with the fact that one has to ""play"" with it to get the right temperature on a single handle faucet. I think they got rid of a faucet no one else wanted. They said they had a faucet at the office. I expected better. They installed a really lousy faucet. I am going to replace it, but will never use them again. And they charged an arm and a leg to install the new faucet.
The kitchen faucet and installation cost me over $600!
Extremely disappointed! Rip Offs!!! They are located in Smithtown, L.I.

We have an old house. We have had B&R replace nearly every faucet in house - including two external and rerunning the laundry machine waste pipe. Also replace two toilets. In addition they have done work on our cast iron baseboard radiators. Other plumbers looked at those radiators and told us to get someone from NYC. They are terrific. Professional, respectful, knowledgable and they do a great job.

Worst experience I have ever had right from the start. Krista, who claims to be the owner, was the nastiest and most unaccommodating lady. My price went from $295.00 to $695.00 to install a bathroom vanity just because they had to carry it up the stairs. When I asked for a breakdown, she said they don't itemize bills. So much for helping the local businesses. Clearly they do not need my business, and they will not get it ever again. Still can't get over how rude Krista is. What a shame.

Woke up with no central A/C on these brutally hot days. Have my in-laws in the house who really need the A/C. Needed to get the air back on and my regular guys said 2 days. B & R did all my plumbing so on a whim I called them. Wasn't aware they handled A/C but turns out they did. Air was fixed same-day. I was more than willing to pay the upcharge for same-day service in this heat. The tech Alan was great and very informative about how to maintain my unit. Very pleased.

They always have what I need or can tell me where to get it.

With all the choices we have in Nesconset, B&R is my first go to place for my plumbing needs.
