I signed up for a quote for an AC system at Costco. The next day I received a call from Damian, we scheduled a meeting for the quote. He was very good at explaining the work that would need to be done and answering all my questions. I decided to purchase the system. The AZ team came 2 days later and got everything set up really fast. They were very friendly and were very good at keeping my house clean. Once everything was installed, the guy in charge, Gabriel Lozano, explained how everything worked. Also, Damian came by to double check that everything was installed correctly. I was very pleased with their work and am very happy with the system so far!

We recently had an HVAC unit installed by AZ Air Conditioning and Heating. The final inspection with the city was completed yesterday. AZ had Inspector Ozzy come out to meet with the city inspector in the event there might be any questions or concerns. Inspector Ozzy was professional, polite, knowledgeable and very conscientious. He called in advance to advise of the time when the inspection was to happen and showed up exactly when he said he would. He did a pre-inspection before the City inspector arrived to be sure everything was as it should be, as well as making sure that I didn't have any questions regarding the inspection process. He provided information about the maintenance program without any pressure to purchase the plan and made sure I didn't have any questions before he left. I was very pleased and satisfied with Ozzy's performance.

I would highly recommend this company for any air conditioning or heating projects. Every step in the process was easy. I was quite pleased with each team member in all aspects. The initial meeting, the two gentlemen explained our options with no pressure. The install was quick. The guys who worked on the install were very polite and respectful of our home and did a very good job of keeping the house clean throughout the process. The front office scheduled both the state and city inspections, just another thing I didn't have to worry about. They even assisted with the rebates from the various utility companies, which I wasn't unaware of. Overall, completely satisfied.

We schedule an appointment to change our AC via Costco. They asked both of us to be present, we did. They did NOT show up. They called 45 minutes later letting me know that they can not make(after I called twice).
I told them, we are very unhappy because they wasted our time and I will call Costco to complain.
About 5 minutes later a supervisor called to apologize "" we want your business"". I told her thank you but sorry one strike you are out!

I requested a quote through Costco to replace my heating and air conditioning system. I received a call quickly from Aileen, and she set me up for a day and time that works for my schedule. I had to reschedule a few times due to work conflicts, and all the girls in the call center were wonderful. The day of the appointment, I received a call letting me know who I'll be meeting with. It was such an easy process, and the ladies I spoke with were all wonderful. I will definitely be using AZ for my install, and all maintenance in the future.

I'm not one to write reviews but after the hard work this company did I think it's a must. We wanted to go with a company that was qualified to do the job and AZ was that and more. They were able to provide us with a free estimate and explain to us our best options in regards to replacing our HVAC system. (FYI--you're not only backed up by them by Costco too!) I'm happy that Costco has chosen such a decent company as their contractor. Everything has gone smoothly! From the consultant who provided us with the quote to actually installing our HVAC system, we are more than satisfied! Thanks AZ!

UPDATE 2/24/2020

I wrote this review last night, and this morning I had a call from Rafael of AZ telling me how disappointed he was in the review. I had spoken to him before when I had asked to speak to a Manager in my total frustration. When we spoke the first time he gave me a song and dance about how if they had recommended replacement of our ducts at the time they sold us the furnace and the ducts had not needed replacement we would have been upset. He totally missed my point that it was OBVIOUS that our ducts needed replacing. The technician who came out to repair them took only a couple of minutes to see that they were in terrible condition, so I do not understand why the sales rep who went into the crawl space to inspect them, and who told us he was a general contractor and knowledgeable about these things, did not see that. We were relying on their expertise. Because they gave us bad advice we missed out on approximately $450 in Costco cash card rebate, and had to give up 4 days of our time instead of two. Furthermore, for the month+ that the new furnace was trying unsuccessfully to blow air through the old ducts, our gas bill went from $40/month to over $120/month.

Now Rafi implied that he wants me to take down the review without acknowledging that there is a problem or making any attempt to make amends.

From my end it feels like we were told we didn't need ducts to minimize the amount of Costco rebate.

Furthermore, I am being treated as if I am an over-reacting woman rather than someone who has over 25 years of management experience including of construction projects and major industrial facilities. I don't need mansplaining, I need an appropriate response. Not impressed.

What would it take for me to update this review with a positive conclusion?

1. Acknowledge that we were given bad advice in the beginning, and that their response has been less than stellar.

2. Give a sincere apology for the amount of my time that has been wasted on the two extra days of installation/inspection and on the repeated calls to AZ to try to get some satisfaction.

3. Reimburse me the $450 that we are out because we did not order the ducts at the time of the furnace.

I had high expectations from a Costco contractor but have been disappointed. We were advised by the AZ salesperson who came to our house that we should NOT replace our ducts when we had our new furnace installed. We were surprised, but accepted the advice. Our furnace was installed, the State inspector came...and we failed the inspection. AZ sent a crew out to repair the duct that the inspector said caused the failure, and he said the ducts were in terrible shape and unless they were replaced we would not pass inspection. We also were getting virtually no heat through the ducts, and our gas bill more than tripled! We paid the $4500 to have the ducts replaced, but instead of getting a Costco cash card rebate based on the total price of furnace + ducts as we would have if we had purchased them at the same time, we only received it on the price of the furnace so we missed out on about $450 in rebates. When I complained, AZ said there never is a rebate on ducts, but a relative who ordered both a new furnace and duct replacement at the same time just three days after we ordered our furnace got a Costco cash card based on the total combined amount. We also had to arrange to be home four days instead of the two it would have taken if the jobs had been done together and we had passed the inspection the first time.

Then, the day after they were installed a limit switch failed on the furnace. A technician came and installed a temporary fix, but we had to wait more than two weeks for the replacement part. This meant arranging to be home two more days.

Worst of all, I have called to complain several times and every time I am promised a call back, but I have never been called back as promised. I left repeated messages for Customer Service Manager Monique, who was supposedly handling my case, and she never called back. More than two weeks ago I was finally transferred to Marlin Aguilar, the person supposedly in charge of all customer service, who gave me a big song and dance then told me he would call me the day after our (second) State inspection to ""make things right."" The inspection was two weeks ago and he has not called.

I also put in a complaint via AZ's customer satisfaction survey on their website and no one followed up.

So...we are out $450 in Costco rebates and 4 days of our time. The technicians we have dealt with have been great, but the sales and customer service personnel have been terrible.
