Our water heater went out on a Friday morning and I had decided to replace it with a new heat pump water heater. Awesome Plumbing was on the website for the two rebate organizations for this type of water heater and he also had good reviews on NextDoor so I gave him a call. He did a super job for us, worked us into his schedule, recommended an electrician to provide the 220 v outlet and did a beautiful installation - did not cut any corners.
When he was finished he took extra time to explain to us how it worked and how to maintain it.
He took care of all the paperwork for the rebates too!

We had Sung replace our gas water heater with an electric heat-pump unit (Bradford-White). It was a great experience. He showed up just when he said he would, gave us a reasonable quote and explained what it included. He also checked our water pressure (it turned out to be way too high) and he included the cost of repairing that as well. He did a beautiful installation job and made sure everything was to code. He handled paperwork related to rebates and is very organized. He explained he would not be there when the inspector came, but if there were any issues (unlikely, the way he works) he would take care of them. Sure enough, his work passed inspection.

We just had him come back to add a recirculating pump and fix a few minor leaks not related to his work. That was a great experience as well. We're impressed with his work and the care he takes to make sure we understand how everything works. He is truly an awesome plumber.

Awesome Plumbing helped me out on a typical homeowner project of replacing a leaking hot water heater. Sung provided lots of options and insights on the pros and cons of the different choices (tankless, heat pump, traditional). Since my house is older, retrofitting the newer systems would be complicated and likely 3x more than a regular tank.

As we stood there staring at the leaking beast, Sung noticed that the warranty was still live, there were 3 weeks left before the tank turned into a leaking ugly pumpkin. A quick call to Rheem's warranty line and I had the go ahead to get a credit to be used towards a new tank. Score!

Not only did Sung spot the warranty, but he also was gracious with his time to remove the leaking tank and take it down to the store for the exchange and pick up a new tank with me. Super customer service that I never ever expected.

The install was clean and most importantly up to current code so that this will pass the city's requirements. The price he charged was more than fair and I will gladly work with him again on future project.

I recently had Sung do two jobs at my home, and he was consistently excellent in both!
I found Awesome Plumbing through the BayREN program because I wanted to upgrade to a Heat Pump Water Heater. Of the three estimates I received, not only did Sung provide a great price but also was very thorough in answering my questions and always quick to respond. Coincidentally, as I was waiting to do the job, my old gas water heater started failing, so Sung quickly adjusted plans and was flexible to move up the job (which is now working great). While on site, I enjoyed talking with Sung and he was careful to explain and teach me about my new system.

Then, we unfortunately discovered a small gas leak, I texted Sung and he was at my house within a few hours, and had the leak repaired within a couple hours. It was great he was able to resolve this stressful situation quickly, and again was careful to explain all that he did in the repair.

My water heater suddenly went out and I wasn't able to re-light the pilot. After an initial inspection by Roto Rooter, who wanted to charge an exorbitant fee for replacing the water heater, I found Sung through Nextdoor and he was able to come to the condo same day. Not only did he replace the water heater for a much cheaper price, he did a very thorough job of even replacing portions of leaky piping, installing a proper water pan, and making sure that things worked correctly before leaving. He also took the time to describe all of the features of the new water heater, the warranty, and how to register the product. Very professional, great value, and very easy to work with. After living here for decades, I finally found thee plumber I've been looking for! After his visit, it's also the first time we've ever had normal water pressure in our house! Sung was courteous and considerate, and overall just a nice guy. He walked into a very bad situation that the tile people left us with! He was here all day, redoing, and improving years of bad plumbing decisions made over the years. The plumbing is hard to get to in our place, which is one reason plumbers never seemed to really want to deal with it properly. But Sung took the time to do it right, and now we couldn't be happier.
