Al is amazing.
This review is 12 months late.
We had a pipe spring a hole in it last April and woke up to a hallway covered in water. We called and received a very quick response. Our pressure regulator to the house failed and the water pressure was 150psi. This sprung a leak in the old shower valve (3 knob) for our main bathroom. It backs up to the hallway.

He came over, addressed the immediate need by capping off the water lines feeding the tub valve in our bathroom. We were without a primary tub for a few days while the valve (we have an older house and this is particular part is not common) was ordered. It left us with full functionality of our home including a stand up shower in the second bathroom.

He worked from the hallway, so that we wouldn't have to re-tile our bathroom tub surround. This is quite a bit trickier, but much better for the homeowner. He also replaced or regulator on the outside of the house.

This was at the very beginning of pandemic lockdowns! He wore a mask and gloves at all times. When he left, he left everything spotless. And on Christmas Eve, he dropped by with a gift for our son. He remembered us 8 months later and our boy (who constantly wanted to ""see what was going on"").

The owner, Al, is quite simple and exceptionally caring and thoughtful human being.
I'll be using his services whenever I need ANY plumbing needs taken care of.

On Jan. 2nd, we called Awake Plumbing to check out a leak in our garden sprinkler system. We also wanted a shut-off valve installed and a new sprinkler line put in.

The plumber explained that it would not be possible to simply fix the single leaking valve. He told me the valves were built in such away that all of them needed to be replaced. He also said that the plastic valves we had were junk. We really needed to replace them with brass. If we went to brass, the cost for the entire job would be $3,500.

I researched plastic vs. brass valves on the Internet--both have their pro's and con's. Neither is necessarily much better than the other.

We declined to spend this kind of money and got another bid. The second plumber readily agreed to replace the single leaking valve, never suggesting that would be a problem. He fixed the leak, installed a shut-off valve, and added the new line for $1,150. He did a fine job--it all works.

I think that Awake Plumbing was attempting to rip us off by saying that plastic valves are junk and that it was not possible to replace the single leaking valve, and then giving us a price 3 times higher than the second plumber.

Best plumber you can find .
I had a repair done on my sprinklers recently by the a great technician named Al. You can tell these guys are experts by the quality of the job. Either pay once and get good result or pay several times to do a half ass job. I learned my lesson that Awake Plumbing should have been my first choice.

Woohoo! As good as it gets! Ive had 3 plumbers to fix my sprinklers and within a year it always stoped working. Al came january 2011 and my sprinklers dont have any problems at all! My lawn is perfect now Thankyou
