Janet V.We initially contacted this company for septic pump out and gray water pump out we were quoted the cost for both which was reasonable. My husband in preparation for the technician dug the dirt out for easy access of septic and slid the lid aside for the gray water pump out. Well, when the technician arrived I watched from inside my home, the first thing the technician did was look at the dugout septic and then walked to the gray water lid and moved it shut then proceeded to ONLY pump the septic tank and left. I immediately phoned my husband and explaining that the gray water wasn't pumped which is what we initially wanted and paid for. My husband called the company, the technician came racing back angered and slid the heavy cement lid aside (which was open in the first place)
proceeded to pump then pushed the lid on top by slamming it closed broke the side of the bottom lid leaving a 10 inch break. We contacted the company and they told us that they would send someone to come look at the damage, no one showed.. I have 2 bully dogs that were stuck inside for 6 hours on a beautiful day because of their negligence.
Now we have a broken lid and to no avail will this company take responsibility.
This was on 10/18/23. We will NEVER used this company again they are not reliable, trustworthy and liars.. horrible customer service!!
Never ever use these people they can to my home did not complete the job put lid back on tank trying to get away with not doing it then were called back and driver must have been upset having to return came speeding up my road and then slammed cement lid and cracked it when I called company they gave me a runaround and now I received e mail saying tank was checked by a technician on site which they mean my home but no one ever came back out to my home so that is a lie and said that damage is not there fault .I am very upset because my tank was in good condition before calling this horrible company and now it is not .Do these people think I go around trying to get over on septic tank lids !!!!!!! So now I have a broken lid and all I can say is this company is horrible stay away and I'm out of a lid but if they need it that bad they are a sorry excuse of a company.
I called and asked them to do a pump out service and they came in a few days and did the job. While they were there I came out and asked how things looked since they were supposed to do an inspection. The technician said that the pump was dead and would have to be replaced. He said he didnt have a ladder or he'd do it right then and there. He said he'd put it in his report and they'd call to schedule. A couple days passed so I called and they said yes, they saw the report but would have to call back and let me know when they would come out. A few more days passed so I called again and they said they were short handed and to call someone else. What customer service! Never using them again!!!
Omg what can I say..... I'm selling a house and they were beyond nice and helpful...
They will forever be on my phone book..... If I could I would give them 20 stats....
Great company that genuinely cares about their customers. And I love that I can support a local, family owned business!
Made appointment for friday. They showed up on time and pumped my septic tank. Very good service.
First, they did not show up on appointed time or day, then had to reschedule 4 days later. Their inspection consisted of removing a couple of inches of dirt and leaves and then the cover. There was a high fluid level and he commented it failed due to clogged baffles. He poked the area were the drain field most likely was and said it was saturated and also found some grease. This took about 1/2 hour and $450 with a written report.
When another inspection was done about 3 weeks later, it was found that they missed the fact that it wasn't a septic system at all, there were no baffles or drain field and it was nothing but a Cesspool. If I had known this when they were supposed to show up the first time, I would never never wasted he money on other inspections.
Avalanche was the company that recommended re-doing the piping in the sand mound and that is what we did last year. They would not even come out to look at and diagnose my problem when I had the current problem even though they were the ones who did the original work. If new piping wasn't the right solution last year, then they should not have done it and cost me $600.
I used Avalanche Septic Services in 2017 to have a new septic pump installed. They wanted payment in full up front and after payment was made, it took them a while to get out here and get the job done. They said they were very busy with other jobs.
My sand mound sprung a few leaks this Spring, so I called Avalanche to come out and look at it. They sent a guy who has only been with the company for six weeks and even though he was super nice, he wasn't exactly sure what the problem was. He called into the office and they told him what to do and after digging a hole on the mound around the leaking areas, they guy on the phone determined the mound needed to be replaced and it would cost between $7,000 to $12,000. How can someone on the phone determine the mound needs to be replaced when he's not even looking at the problem?
They charge an $89 service call fee and if you want to pay by credit card, they add on another $10. Credit card fees are part of doing business and can be deducted as an expense, so passing that fee on to the customer is a bad business practice.
I will never use Avalanche Septic Services again and I will never recommend them to anyone else.
Fax L.Jeff came out today. Kept me informed of the time he would drop by. A+++
Will definitely use Avalanche for future projects.
Thank You!!!
