I've needed an electrician several times in the past couple of years, and I know I can always call on AUX to get a trustworthy professional who can diagnose and resolve my issue. While I don't use them for HVAC or plumbing (I have long-time contacts for these), I'm sure they're just as reliable. They always seem to have what's needed in their truck and if not, they're quick about going to get it. They are great about giving you options to fix the problem - and they're very upfront about the cost. I'll keep using AUX!

First let me say that the technician did repair the problem ( an electrical switch that needed rewiring) but my problem is with the amount the company charges for their services. We were caught in a situation where this repair needed to be fixed for a home closing and AUX was the only company that could come out in time. We had no idea of the cost of the repair until it was finished and it was astronomcal! The repair was made correctly but it was triple the cost of a normal electrician. BEWARE!!

Do not use Aux Home service if you want to hire an honest and dependable company. After booking a repair appointment, I was told a dispatcher would be in contact to let me know when someone would arrive. After being left for hours in 90+ degree heat, I called again to ask when someone would be arriving. I was told all technicians were busy but someone WOULD be coming that day. After 6pm that day, I got a call to say no one would be coming but they could rebook the appointment for Monday. I was given no apology for being lied to twice. When I asked why they did not let me know sooner so I could have booked someone else for the job, she did not answer answer the question, only said again """"we can rebook you for Monday"""". If this company lies about showing up for a job, I'm sure they would lie about the repairs needed and over charge as well. This company is not honest and showed they do not care for the safety or health of it's customers.

Needed a bathroom sink hooked up. Hubby has bad back and cannot lie down long enough at 67. Tech showed up, hooked sink up in less than an hour. $996.00 for a bathroom sink.,.. Pretty sad I have to work almost two 40 hour weeks to pay these people for 1 hours work.

Not at all dependable. You can't believe anything their schellduler says. They even will tell you he is on his way but later tell you they can't get to you today, promise you next day """"first thing"""" service only to dhow up a 2pm. On the plus side, the employees aregood and honest but the management is just the opposite. Find someone else.

RUN!! DO NOT CALL!! Needed a ceiling fan lowered with an extension rod. I should have known something was up when I called and they could immediately send a """"technician"""" out to give me an estimate. 1st thing he says after coming to the door was """"how long have you been """"members"""" with us? Members?? Of what?? Never explained """"membership"""" thing. I showed him the ceiling fan that I wanted lowered. He could do this and he could do that. Then the defication hit the oscillator!! """"Can I take a look at your breaker box?"""" Me: Sure thing. """"Breaker box looks good."""" """"Can I take a look at your outside electric unit?"""" Me: Sure thing. """"Oh no this is not good!! This is not to code!"""" Me: Not good! 3 hours and an estimate totally $10,950, I finally got the estimate for the effing fan for $174.00!! Fan not lowered and we're never calling this company again!! They are con artist!! They charge you $49.00 for a service call no matter if you get any work done or not!! They """"technicians"""" are not licensed electricians, they are sales reps! They will tell you your house is not up to code and scare the crap out of you!! If your house was built in 1974nlike ours was, you do not need to have your electrical be up to code! You are """"grandfathered"""" in. There may be a few things that you can change like new surge outlets and fire/carbon monoxide detectors in every room, but those things don't cost $10,950!! If you call Aux Home Services after reading this review then your the perfect victim for them! You have been warned!!

I hate to tell this story. But. Aux sent out someone to do a """" Complimentary plumbing check"""". They left a hose pipe attached to the water heater telling me it started leaking when they checked it. Also if they turned the knob they may break it and we would need a new water heater ( ours is old but was working perfectly. I wasn't concerned til we moved the hose later. My basement started flooding with hot water. They told me they did not have a plumber available for 3 days! We will never ever use them again.

These guys are dishonest! We have the unit cleaned late spring and early fall each year. We paid for a preventive service prior to the summer. This year we chose AUX because of their convincing sales pitch about preventive maintenance. BIG MISTAKE!We received a green light that the unit was in good working order and no problems identified. Our unit went out on Sunday. We called AUX and they came out on Monday. The tech told us that it would be more than $4,000 to repair the unit...a burned out compressor. We called for a second opinion on Tuesday and it was discovered that the coils were dirty, lots of debris (leaves, etc.), and no evidence that the unit had been cleaned this year. Because they did not do a cleaning as they were paid to do. The compressor burned up. We spoke to Mr. PJ Smitherman at AUX and informed him of the situation. We paid for preventive service in order to avoid problems and they did not perform the service leading to a costly repair. He takes no responsibility, offers no resolution, and was extremely to deal with. Be warned...just don't deal with them.

Very unprofessional from the beginning, extremely poor workmanship, lack of communication within the company during our entire ordeal with this business. Do yourself a favor and shop around!

We realized our garbage disposal was leaking and I was going out of town and couldn't do it my self. My wife called Aux. At first the repairman tried to charge over $1,200 and then came down to $849. This was for at most a $100 disposal and one hour worth of work. Something as a non-plumber I could do myself within an hour. At a minimum we were overcharged by $500 for a simple garbage disposal installation. Unfortunately they took advantage of a situation with a wife home alone and a leaking garbage disposal. To make it worse, they had to come out a second time because it was not installed properly the first time. And all they wanted to do while they were here was sell an expensive service plan. Would not recommend Aux due to price or service.
