Ernest Duran called me to inquire about a warehouse space I have for lease. He said he wanted to look at it. We agreed to a day and time. He didn't show up. I called him after waiting 15 minutes....no response. I texted him later.....no response.

Owning commercial properties throughout Austin, I have plenty of opportunities to use plumbing and other services. I would never use this guy just based on this happening. It reveals a lot about him. Also, after seeing his poor reviews on Yelp, it appears that I am not alone.

Ernest Duran is very kind hard working and honest man. His business is ran so well and the work is done perfectly and on time. AFS gutted our whole house from the studs and remodeled the entire home all the way to the exterior. Our home was appraised way above value and we are so excited to live in such a well built home. Ernest Duran and his crew are total scammers. Quick to push on fulfilling against an invoice they generate but do not back up their work. They repaired and reset a sink that collapsed from a granite countertop, they did a messy job and the the seal failed resulting in the sink collapsing again. After repeated attempts to get them to come fix their work, they became unresponsive.

This is my new favorite local plumbing company. They came out and gave me a bid on my repairs, and were by far the most affordable and easy company to work with out of the 4 other companies I called. I will defiantly use this company again. The plumbers were very professional and courteous. I will recommend this company to my friends and family. These guys are crooks - they will try to over bill you for time they are not actually working. I asked to have a gas leak located and they sent a bill for over $2,000. When I asked to see authorization of the work - they threatened to sue. They prey on peoples ignorance about how the trades work and result to idle threats in attempt to take advantage of people. They sent a master plumber to pull permits... Everyone knows thats a job for an apprentice. $300 per hour to wait in line?? Do yourself a favor and call the next plumber.

These gentlemen arrived within hours of being called and finished installing a new kitchen faucet and disposal less than an hour after starting. Top-notch work and friendliness. And they explained how to maintain the disposal in good order so as not to have the problem again. I am really pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

EXTREMELY dissatisfying experience. As far as I am concerned, these guys are scam artists.

Hired them to repair a leaking toilet at my home. Initial quote: about 2 hours @ $120/hour. Once they removed the toilet, it immediately became "more complicated". On-site crew was unprepared (had me run to the plumbing supply store 3 times for parts, most of which were never used) and not diligent (frequent breaks outside, lots of phone calls, sat around while I ran for parts). Work not complete at the end of the first day. The next day, they tell me cost is $2450 to date, rate is $190/hour (for plumber and unskilled helper), AND THE WORK IS STILL NOT DONE. I can agree to pay up, or they will walk off the job and leave me with a completely non-functioning toilet. I refused to pay this outrageous bill, and they walked off the job. I'll have to have another plumber fix my toilet.

I'm a fool for falling for this scam. I should have seen it coming.
