Recommended Customer Reviews

I worked with this company recently on a leak in my yard. I just love the owner, and they are great to work with! I would highly recommend them because of the work ethic, their integrity for a job well done, and their uncompromising compassion for their clients! It is just hard to find that in a plumbing company. If you have any issues, always ask for Dennis (the owner). He will always make sure you are a happy customer.

We have been given the run-around on our hot water heater for several years. Our home is only 6 years old, but we have had trouble with the tankless hot water heater from Rheem nearly since the beginning. Our hot water goes out regularly (every year) even though we have it flushed about every 6 months. I decided to try Pierre this time, because no other plumber has been able to fix the problem so that it does not keep happening. Pierre came out and flushed the system the same day that we had a new water softener installed (yes, more problems.) When Pierre left, everything was in working order (hot water and good pressure.) A few days later, the hot water heater went out again. Rheem has no clue how to make tankless heaters and are currently in court with a lawsuit against them for this problem. Pierre told us the problem would continue to happen with that heater and that we needed a new one. Considering our numerous previous experiences, we knew this to be true. He installed a new one for us and credited us for the job he previously did in flushing the system. Pierre did an excellent job and I highly recommend him.

I will now use these guys!!! Had two sets of plumbers out who said I needed a crew to do the work in my shower and that they couldn't do it. Went through all the trouble of turning water off in the complex cause both plumbers said it had to be done this way. Bought the equipment for the job and Jesse showed up.. No problem. I will have this done in no time... Oh but don't you have to do turn water off and take out the whole handle.. Nope.. who told you that? The job was done fast, he was polite and clean. Bam!!! It just feels different when you can just get the job done and have no worries.
thanks Austin Area Plumbing!!! Your the Best

Horrible, Bad, Poor workmanship.
Had them return a second time to correct problems. Did not correct issues.
Complained to American Home Shield who sent out another plumber who reported back to them the issues.
American Home Shield terminated their contract to do work.
AHS had to compensate the new plumber $600.00 to correct issues.

Fast, courteous and clean workmanship. I would definitely use these guys again.

I was given an estimate and was pleasantly surprised when I paid that exact amount. Pierre was cordial, on time and appreciative that the hole was already dug and exposing the issue in our yard. I will recommend this company, as without a referral we really have to rely on sites like this for feedback. Thanks to Mandy too!

Pierre at Austin area plumbing always provides us with excellent service! He has helped us with multiple tasks that has to be completed, like installing a tankless water heater, fixing a broken pressure valve and hooking up our furnace today.
Always great advice, fair estimates and quick service! For sure recommended!

I had a pretty bad experience with Pierre from Austin Area Plumbing. I needed two relatively simple jobs done, one of which was installation of a new gas line.
He apparently had no clue what the regulations were for gas line installations, so when the gas company came to hook it up, they informed me that the outside location was too close to windows and electrical hookups. Then it turned out Pierre never filed a permit with the city, didn't paint the lines, and didn't pressure test his work.
He did finally end up getting everything done, but this 60-minute job turned into a 2-month back-and-forth ordeal that included me having to call his office many times to get him to do things properly. Austin Area Plumbing seems to have no idea what the regulations and processes are for gas line plumbing, so avoiding them for this kind of work might be a good idea. The work was very sloppy. When he did finally pain the lines, he got gray paint all over my exterior wall.
Pierre was also pretty unprofessional while he was doing the work in my house. He didn't have all the necessary parts so he had to go out to buy some (perfectly understandable). However, it took him nearly 2 hours to return, upon which he informed me he had stopped to get lunch at the Spiderhouse. It was 10AM. I was taking off from work to be around, so I really didn't appreciate having to use additional leave time so he could eat brunch.

This review is so late! But last year we noticed a wet area outside the front door. In July. After a few weeks of hoping it would go away, and then a couple more weeks of ignoring it, we finally determined as responsible home-owners, that constantly wet dirt in July/August was a sure sign that there was a big, horrible plumbing problem that needed to be fixed.
The first two companies that came out spent 5 minutes looking at the wet spot before telling us we needed to get the whole house replumbed. Uh, NEXT!
By the time the third guy came out, a few days later, it was clear that the problem was a leaky water supply line because there was a veritable fountain of water shooting out from the side of the house. Aha! But then he tells us that he just moved here from California and still doesn't have all his tools and basically puts a bandaid on the leak and tells us "good luck" and then I paid him a hundred dollars. (I found out later he was not even licensed in Texas! If I'd looked closer, I would have noticed all his excellent Yelp reviews were from people in CA. Ugh. Dick.)
Finally I find Austin Area Plumbing and Andreas comes out and fixes the big huge job the same day. The big huge job involved digging out and replacing the whole supply line. It was 6 hours of work for two guys and involved them having to use a jackhammer or something. It was amazing.
And the icing on the cake (and the reason I am writing this now) is their customer service! Now, a year later, the house is on the market and I need proof that the repair was done. Of course, I threw all my home-repair receipts right into the trash as soon as I decided to sell the house, like "Whee!". But I called AAP and Mandy went above and beyond to track down the original invoice and email me a scanned copy and save my ass. Thanks, Mandy!

So grateful to them and their techs. Pierre was so helpful (even though his wife was about to give birth!) He came out to assess what needed to get done and then Brandon took over and got it done. He was efficient and neat. We had been without gas in the house for TWO WEEKS because no one was available (and when they heard gas was shut off they shied away). Not these guys! They were sensitive to my sorry story of heating water for baths and cooking with a micro and electric griddle! :-) They handled the issue with our fireplace valve with ease. Thank you!
