Gilbert was the technician who came to our house and we were very impressed with his work and his honesty. I concur with all of the five star reviews below. I picked Austex as a result of seeing these stellar reviews. I immediately reached Alex; he was curteous and set up Gilbert to come and do the repair that afternoon. We set up a time, and he even showed up early! Gilbert quickly diagnosed the break in my main line, gave a reasonable estimate (especially considering he spent 2 1/2 hours), fixed it, tested it, tested all of my zones, and even did some adjustments and reprogrammed the control box. He also very quickly replaced a broken head. I would absolutely use them again!

Alex and his crew were excellent and professional in every way. I had about 4 different companies come and give me estimates over a 3 month period, all top rated companies on Angie's List. AusTex was not the cheapest, but they were clearly the best choice for the job. Here are the reasons I chose AusTex:
1) Alex, the owner, was extremely professional. He came when he said he would. He was dressed well. He was down to earth. He was prepared and knowledgeable about my property. He obviously cares deeply about the reputation of his company.
2) Alex took the time to go over the products that would be used and the reasons they were preferred. Alex offered 3 levels of installation, and he explained in detail the difference between the 3. No other company did this. This lead me to believe that the cheapest available materials were probably what I should expect from companies not including multiple options in their bids. Alex brought a case full of sprinkler heads, pipes, joints, and the Hunter control unit, and explained everything in as much or as little detail as I was interested in.
3) I could tell from the reviews on Angie's list and my time with Alex that this company would stand behind their work and get things right. I am confident that AusTex will still be in business years down the road when warranty work needs to be done or something needs to be modified.
On the day of installation Alex's crew came on time and worked hard all day long. The installation took one day and they returned my yard to as much of its previous condition as they could. I hardly knew they were there. They were courteous and polite. The sprinklers work fantastic and I am very happy with the system. Alex came back to my house a week later to make sure I was familiar with everything and to answer any final questions I had. I rest easy knowing if anything came up Alex would bend over backwards to help me or make things right.

Alex sent a very courteous gentlemen to my home to replace a sprinkler-head that failed prematurely. The process took under 10 minutes including testing. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

I can't say enough about the service I received from Austex Sprinklers. We needed to have some of the sprinkler heads on our system adjusted, so we naturally called the company that originally installed it; however, they informed us they were too busy! I called a couple of other companies...some I had to leaves messages for and never heard back from and others were glad to come out but they charged a minimum hourly rate (ranging from $89 to $109) just for an estimate.

Alex was super responsive and I had an appointment scheduled within a week of my call. Gilbert was the technician who came out...he checked our entire system to ensure adequate coverage and adjusted seven sprinkler heads. He completed his work within an hour...he was very knowledgeable and super responsive. What I like best was that he didn't try to do more work that absolutely needed.

I will use Austex from now on and highly recommend them!

So we had Travis from Austex out this afternoon and he was GREAT! He called to let me know he was ahead of schedule and would be at our appointment 30 minutes early! He went over all the system, found the trouble spots and told me the recommended fixes. He knew what he was talking about and even went over my system with me to make sure I knew what I was doing. Customer service like this is above and beyond so if you're looking for good, quality work with a smile, look no further than Austex Sprinklers... you won't be disappointed.

Travis from Austex just finished fixing our sprinklers after an aeration-gone-awry cut a wire. He was super professional, friendly (even with my obnoxious chihuahuas) and didn't seem to mind taking the time to answer my all my questions. All you have to do is read the other reviews of Austex Sprinklers to know how my experience was using Austex Sprinklers. You can tell in talking with Alex that he takes customer service, and providing timely,professional work seriously. He is easy to contact, and responds quickly to questions and scheduling concerns of his customers. Travis, the technician assigned to my account was friendly, informative, and very professional in how he completed the minor repairs needed. Travis was obviously interested in finding, and repairing what needed to be fixed, and nothing more. He took the time to clearly explain my system, how to program it, and walked me through the process. I learned several things that will allow me to adequately, and efficiently water my yard and plants, while still reducing the amount of water I use. Any time any of my family and friends need sprinkler system service I will strongly suggest they call Austex Sprinklers. I will never call anyone else!

Just want to say this is first time I have used Austex and I am very impressed. I called and scheduled an appointment. As promised, they called the day of the appointment to let me know exactly what time they would be here. Gilbert actually showed up earlier than our original scheduled time which worked out great for me. He identified all the problems (and there were quite a few) and fixed nearly everything while he was here. Although he did not have some large sprinkler heads that we needed to fix, he identified and flagged those so my partner could fix later.

Besides identifying and fixing everything, Gilbert could not have been more pleasant and professional with his service. I would definitely use Austex again.
