Austen Plumbing Company is your go to for plumbing needs! I received a call-back within minutes of leaving my request for service. We were concerned we had a leak under our slab due to hot spots we were feeling on random tiles, and Austen was able to help me diagnose the cause of the hot tiles. I won't pretend to know the names of the various hot water heater parts, but by texting him pictures of our unit, he was able to coach me through some tests to determine if there was actually a leak or just the constant flow of hot water being pumped through the pipes. I greatly appreciated his prompt responses and ability to help us figure out what was going on via phone. Austen is incredibly polite and efficient. We will be passing along the company information to neighbors and using him should any future plumbing needs arise. Thanks again for your help!

Austen found the leak in a water pipe leading to my house about two years ago and repaired it ASAP. He did a fantastic job, so guess who I'm calling now that I have a bathroom that keeps flooding? He is the only plumber to call for leak detection -- I tried several others (including one who drove from Houston, turned off my hot water without turning it back on, which turned into another call to a closer plumber on a weekend b/c I had no clue what had happened!). It was a completely awesome experience working with Austen. Called him when my slab had a small leak and he was able to work on it the same day. To me he was extremely experienced and knew what he was doing. During this process he was able to come up with a good plan of re-routing water supply lines through attic space instead of cutting holes on the first floor ceiling. This ended up with fixing two problems (slab leaking and slow hot water in one side) for my house. Austen Plumbing would be the first company to call if you have any slab leaking problem and other plumbing issues.

Came home after Thanksgiving to hear water running in my floor. I could not see water and called around and found Austen. He came out that day and put my mind at rest. He quickly assessed the situation and laid out a plan to discover where the leak was. He used electronic equipment to find the leak and quickly had my repair under way. I had nightmares of floors being destroyed and my house a wreck during Christmas and Austen was able to reroute the water line with very little damage to my home. He recognized my concern and communicated with me during the whole process. I can;t believe how he turned this process into a non-issue so quickly. Thank you Austen for making our season brighter!

If you have a plumbing leak in your slab, or suspect you do, you definitely want to call these folks. And I'm sure that holds for other plumbing repairs.

I had the common signs of a slab leak - warm spot on the floor and a hissing sound that stopped when I turned the hot water off at the heater. I thought it was related to a recent kitchen remodel that included moving some pipes in the slab. I called Austen Plumbing mid-morning and Austen himself was out that afternoon. He had some really sophisticated diagnostic equipment and was able to show me that the leak was coming from a different pipe.

He improvised a plan to cap and re-route that pipe using PEX tubing through the ceiling. A much better solution than chipping up the floor and totally disrupting that newly remodeled kitchen He was done the next day.

Austen was very competent, easy to work with, and nice to have in our home. I found his prices quite reasonable, especially compared to estimates from the company that did my kitchen remodel and given the quality of the work. I will be using Austen Plumbing for any future plumbing work I need.
