I always thought this was just a plumbing store. Had I ever bothered to really look, I would have seen that it was also an electric supply store.

This is definitely a great option to the chain stores. What you get here is knowledgeable sales people which is often what people like me need. Low prices and bulk are good but having folks who know what they're talking about is absolutely priceless.

I went in looking for a few items recently and although they had some of them, they didn't have others. They were quick to come up with an accurate referral which I appreciate so I don't have to run all over town.

I like that there is a cashier at the door to both greet you and check you out. Additionally, a number of other staff members are around the store to help you find what you need. I'm not the most skilled at home improvement or repairs so honestly, I need a lot of help. This is definitely a great option!

The retail store is great; the older guys are so knowledgeable, patient, and helpful! The contracting side of the business needs improvement. An outside water leak prompted me to contract them to replace my water line. In digging two holes for their boring machine to come the next day, they noticed water was leaking near the water meter, but said nothing to me until the next day. I called the City water dept. and they came out and fixed the leak and backfilled the hole by the water meter. I filled in the second hole in my backyard. THEN Aurora Plumbing told me the charge for the two holes was $1250 and asserted more time and people had done the excavation than actually occurred. (I was at home and spoke to the laborers and know when they left). Expensive labor but lesson learned.

Go to the store, but avoid the contracting side of the business!

I had a leaky kitchen sink spray head, which is easy enough to fix (in this case, given the leak, replace). Because I didn't know the brand, I took a few photos to these guys. The nice fella brought out a part. I was dubious since to my eye it looked a little different, but he seemed pretty sure. ""Trust the experts, but save the receipt"" is my motto. I got home and sure enough, perfect match. I truly enjoy quick, quiet competence! I'll be back when I need plumbing parts in the future.

We've lived within walking distance from Aurora Plumbing for nearly 12 years, however, recently they have helped my husband for two specific issues.

They have been helpful to diagnose, recommend replacement parts, and provide guidance over the phone and in person with regards to toilet O ring gaskets and today with an electric motor replacement for an overhead bathroom vent fan.

And yes, we've called the other companies with fancy TV/radio jingles like Beacon and Southwest Plumbing to compare. Hands down, Aurora Plumbing is the clear winner you can trust. We greatly appreciate their help and professionalism since we are not home fix-it types and are on a limited income.

What a great place! When I go there they always have the knowledge and supplies for the perfect solution to my problem. Don't waste your time with home depot or lowes. The place to go to rescue your DIY nightmares.

They have a website but it sucks, there is no product or service info. I called for product info and waited on the phone for along time. When I get connected, they asked for my phone number so they can call me back but thet never did.

It's unfortunate that I have to write this review as I've had good experiences with them in the past. However this last time getting my water heater replaced was bad enough for me to not want to work with them anymore.

First of all the service tech was running late. I had other commitments that day and wanted to reschedule and now I wished I cancelled altogether. After waiting over an hour longer than the expected time, I rushed to my next appointment only to then look at the invoice realizing that I was billed for much more than what I was initially quoted. Turns out they only tell you the price of the tank and labor but leaves out all the extra equipment to complete the installation. An additional $300+ would be good information to provide customers as it makes a difference when budgeting for an already pricey job. We called them to provide feedback about the cost and time issues only to get a very confrontational and defensive phone call from the tech himself basically telling us that that's the way it is and what more did we expect.

The quality of the work was satisfactory. But buyer beware - ask them to be clear about ALL possible charges, free up your entire day's schedule, and don't expect any dissatisfaction to be met with good customer service.

I called several plumbing companies about some minor repairs I needed, and the dispatcher at Aurora Plumbing was the most knowledgeable, able to give me a very good idea of what the work would cost and assuring me both the possible parts I might need are stocked on the service trucks. A manager called me to discuss some of the work I had requested, saying that it was something other companies recommend but is totally unnecessary in their experience. I really appreciated his honesty, as well as his detailed, conservative over the phone estimate, so I scheduled the work with them right then. When the plumber came out, he got the job done very quickly, so it ended up costing only half of the estimated price. I will definitely be calling Aurora Plumbing again.

This review is long overdue. Aurora Plumbing, and especially the owner, Brian, could not have been more helpful and honest.
I needed to replace my water heater, which unfortunately is a direct vent type (which is much more $ than the average water heater). I'd been doing my research, had gotten other quotes, and called Aurora Plumbing after noting the many Angie's List Awards on their website. Yelp is not always the most reliable source for recommendations, especially for services like plumbing. There's a lot of competition in this market, be wary of the one-star reviews you read for these guys.
I knew what I needed, knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but wanted someone I could trust who I felt would do a good job. Brian called me back to discuss my needs and options. He further provided some (non-pushy) education on brands of water heaters, why they work with some brands and not others (American made, quality they've seen last), and what really got my attention - he told me that replacing a water heater is pretty straight forward, and therefore they don't do quotes like other plumbing companies do, as quoting systems factor in worst case scenarios, and therefore can bump up the cost for a job that generally isn't going to uncover unknowns. Brian gave me a high-low range for an idea of cost based on his experience replacing my type of water heater (based on time to complete job, as cost of heater is a known cost). I appreciated his honesty, and in the end, the final cost was less than I'd been quoted by others, yet I knew I had a quality product and backing by a company I know I can call on if something goes wrong. Even when my water heater's earthquake strap couldn't be re-used (it was installed with a rigged strap) and had to be re-placed, therefore bringing my final cost towards the higher end of what Brian told me it would likely be, he knocked off some of the cost even when I told him he didn't need to (it pays to be nice to others). It's been 6+ months now with the new water heater, and no complaints. So glad I called Brian and Aurora Plumbing.

Called them to fix the toilet. The water did not fill the tank anymore. Came 3 hours after the scheduled appointment. The guy did not have any parts in his truck to replace anything and went to Home Depot to buy it. It took him about one hour to come back. They charged me for the time to go to Home Depot. Overall it cost me $478.He was in my house for just about one hour for this job. After he left, the toilet leaked. I called and they told me there might be another charge. Told them that for the price they charged I could have bought a new toilet and that they also have a one year warranty. Eventually they sent someone who fixed the leak and did not charge on top of the initial cost. The last person left mud tracks on my carpets and had to wash my carpets. They reimbursed me $213 after I complained.
