Recommended Customer Reviews
Beware of this business. We are a non profit and hired them to do an oil tank sweep. We agreed verbally to a price of $300 for the entire sweep. Tech came out, used metal detector said there were three spots that a tank could be. Conveniently tech did not have a probe with him. We called the office the next day and was told to probe the area would cost an additional $400. We called the owner, told him we were recommended to them by our contractor and had received other estimates all in the $300-350 range for a whole sweep. We wanted to support a local business so that is why we chose them. They agreed to do if for $350 ($50 above original quote) and were supposed to call prior to going to the property so a representative from our org could meet him there. Called the office next day to ask when they were coming out, were told they were already there, asked if they found a tank and she said she did not think so but would confirm. Received a call that there was a tank along with a $2,000 estimate to remove. The seller dug up area and there was no tank. We called again and the owner of Aurora checked to make sure it was the right area, it was. Had to hire another company to confirm there was no tank and the other company said that based on the layout of the house there was no way a tank could be in the location Aurora said it was. We asked them for drawings and supporting documents of how they determined a tank was on the property as well as the license number of their technician who performed the service in addition to a refund. They never responded to our certified letter. We are just letting other consumers know of our situation so it doesn't happen to them.
