Gene D.These guys couldn't be any nicer or more efficient. Their prices are totally in line with the other places, sometimes cheaper! However, they actually return calls and keep appointments! We've used them twice to excellent results.
What's more, after calling late on a Sunday night and leaving an SOS call, they called back about a half hour later apologizing profusely for missing my call. They showed up about a half hour later and clear our basement lake in a half hour. Even better, he quoted the price before doing the work and they give a thirty day guarantee on their work.
Man, if only other service providers were anywhere near as good!
Tiffany M.Fantastic service. I called Atlas because the reviews on yelp were so great. I had already called about 4 other plumbers who said they were booked for the night! I needed someone to come out at about 10:30 pm.
Joel got to my house VERY quickly and diagnosed the problem in about 1 minute. Quoted me a price and finished the job in about 10 minutes. I then had him repair another problem with my toilet and he finished that pretty quickly also. I was so happy to find someone responsible and not creepy at that hour of the night.
Thank you so much!
Shayna N.I don't know much about plumbing...
All I know is my kitchen sink was clogged. We called around 11:30 and they were here by noon. They gave us a diagnosis and a price quote. They spent over an hour in the kitchen quietly going about their business and left with out a mess.
in and out. quick and easy. just how i like my plumbers.
(unfortunately i can't say it was cheap)
Yvette K.Over the weekend I discovered that a drain in the back of my house had gotten clogged after the recent mild rainstorm which caused my basement music studio to be flooded. Shit! I spent the whole weekend dealing with the mess.
I knew I needed to hire a plumber before the next round of rain, but hire which one? Thank god I was able to get my computer to boot up (it was in the flood) and I searched for a plumber on Yelp. Turns out one of the most highly rated plumbers (Atlas) is around the corner from my house. I called them up and within a few hours a couple of plumbers showed up on a Sunday afternoon to fix my clogged outdoor drain.
I was given the choice of the snake for $169 or for a hundred dollars more the steam clean (more thorough). I opted for the steam clean at $269. In addition I also wanted them to clean another drain, a few feet away , since it has been prone to clogging in the past. After testing it with a hose to see how quickly it drained they recommended to clean it too. So, it was to be another $269 for the second drain. I was eventually charged $500 for the whole job, which took an hour or less. I agreed to this amount, what do I know?
Now, after doing a little more research, I'm not sure this was a good price. It seems that many plumbers charge by the hour so that would be a hefty $500/per hour for me.
I was very happy with the service, but the price seemed kinda high. But, I am VERY glad that the drain was unclogged so easily on a Sunday afternoon.

These guys are truly awesome.
One of their guys came out here, charged me $95 to tell me there's nothing he can do. I called the owner, Joel, and he not only credited me the $95 to go towards replacing my toilets, he did the job himself.
He provided me with a quote and didn't charge me more than the quote.
Don't bother calling anyone else, they are the best!!!
Sanaz E.So after having some bad experiences with various plumbing companies throughout this town, Atlas Plumbing and Rooter came to the rescue.
I thought my days of finding a reliable, honest, and affordable plumber was too far fetched but I was proven wrong.
They came on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, did the work the same day and offered sound advice; they even showed us how to do a minor plumbing repair on our own.
Their fee was very reasonable compared to another plumbing company, and that's because they are small & family owned and we should all hope they stay that way, because that is what keeps the work level high and the cost level low.
They've become super busy since the Yelp craze but they understand the importance of staying local, honest and fair.
Thank You Atlas!!
John W.Several months ago a plumber ran a snake into my clogged sewer line (from one end only), then jetted it out. After running a camera into the line (from one end only) he decided not to continue with the snake. The plumber wasn't really helpful, and after spending $600 to basically shoot some water into the line I felt burned.
So I limped along with a root-clogged sewer until it backed up again a few weeks later. This time I avoided calling the plumber with the biggest ad, but instead looked on Yelp. What a good idea!
I saw the great reviews for Atlas Plumbing, so called right away. They came out the same day, exactly when they said they would.
Unfortunately, my sewer system (a gold-rush era relic!) proved to be a challenge. When they needed to get to another appointment they were very apologetic, and also asked if they could return after hours with a larger snake. There was no extra charge for the after hours work, which I appreciated.
They returned with a industrial-sized snake machine (which I hoped that first plumber would have done), and also set about jetting out the system from BOTH ends (also something the first plumber didn't do).
There were more complications - the larger snake machine wouldn't fit through my cellar door, so they could only run it from the street. Then the snake line got stuck! A third guy arrived to help extricate it, and there was some talk of having to excavate it (eek!) if they couldn't pull it out.
By now I'm really anxious ... but the story has a happy ending.
After much toil the three guys were able to extract a ton of roots (as well as their snake line). In spite of the extra equipment, extra hours, and after-hours work, the bill was extremely reasonable - quite a bit less than the first plumber.
They suggested returning periodically in order to keep the system flowing until I can save up enough to replace it entirely. That is NOT going to be a fun project, but you can be sure I will call Atlas when the time comes.
Oh, they were very nice guys too - very reassuring and courteous.
Nish N.Word up, thanks yelpers. Our disposal broke went down in a blaze of glory (figuratively speaking) the other day. I got on this here Yelp site and searched for a plumber. Came back with some serious results, but seeing that my man Bucky K gave Atlas five stars, I was left with little choice but to call them.
They came right on time, took a look at the disposal, had it repaired in under ten minutes, and still managed some small talk with me. I'm happy, and now I can crunch up remnants of meals, apple cores and what not to my heart's content.
Bucky K.""I don't know much, but I do know how to make shit flow up-hill."" -My Dad.
I was reminded of this when I woke up on Sunday and our sewer was backed up into our floor drains in the garage. Yep, every time we flushed it went straight from the toilet to the garage. You see my Dad is a plumber and always has an arsenal of plumbing euphemisms to match any occasion. I would've loved to call and have him bring his tools and sayings and help with the work, but it is a 34 hour drive from his house.
So here's the quandary. It's an emergency call ($) and it's a Sunday ($$$$$). We tried Drain-o to no avail. Do we hold out til Monday and get a cheaper rate, do we rent a snake, do we we make the call... What would Dad do?? ""As we say in the business Bucky, shit or get off the pot.""
I called Atlas and was told it would be about three hours til they could come out. They arrived in less than half the time. As I was showing them the problem I was squeezing my sphincter tight enough to impress the Hoover Dam in anticipation of the estimate.... ""We can do it for about 145."" Shew... that's not bad at all. They snake the drain and are out they door in about 20 mins time. Incredibly courteous and professional throughout. I do believe we have found the plumbers for all of our housing needs... and they accept plastic!
I honestly do not know anything about plumbing and this was even more apparent when Dennis came over and replaced the flow valve system in my toilet in approximately 15 minutes. It cost about $150, which was about $50 more than I wanted to spend, but he came, he saw, and he fixed. Anyway, he locked down the toilet bowl itself which was wobbly to begin with free of charge. So, all in all, there isn't really anything to complain about.
