I learned the hard way. When Yelp has multiple low ratings for a company, it's for a reason. Twice the owner hung up on me-- when I was attempting to get an answer to the why they changed 2.5 times what was quoted for a service which I stupidly paid. Then when attempting to get a receipt for the completed service, the owner refused to send it, explaining the account is now closed. Why? Because it was in my late husband's name and service contracts don't extent to other family members or the surviving spouse. Incredibly unethically, the owner ends a valid contract and will not give a prorated refund for the 5 remaining months of the agreement. If there's a lawyer reading this, please explain how this is legal? There are many other honorable companies with good reviews to choose from. Note the many low ratings on Yelp. I gather I'm not the only one with a horrific experience.

We would like to stress our total dissatisfaction with an 'Emergency Sunday A/C Service promise' that has to be only called in to obtain it during 'Normal Business hours'. When you need emergency weekend Air Conditioning service & you have no working air conditioning in your house in the Florida summer heat, one is expecting to get an emergency operator if it is after normal business hours. Emergencies do not always happen before 3pm on a Saturday or from 9-5 during the week! The emergency Sunday service offer is deceptive and false if it can not be called in for after normal business hours. Our A/C completely stopped working at 5pm on a Saturday, and we left 4 messages (on the Altas answering machine) on both Saturday and Sunday saying that we wanted the emergency Sunday A/C repair service as promised when we signed up. There was no emergency operator or answering service with a person. Just an answering machine where no one responds until normal business hours. Also, very strange to be asked by the Supervisor on Monday when we complained about this """"why we would call another company to give us the emergency service"""" Altas had no ability to provide because our emergency started after 3pm on Saturday. The supervisor, Kimberly Helton did not understand why we needed to call another company to fix the issue. She said she had 'no idea' why we would call another company that did provide emergency service to fix our air conditioning. She was baffled why we did not want to wait in the heat for days until 'normal business hours'. It was literally close to 90 degrees in our house by Sunday morning, yet Kimberly could not understand why we needed to pay another company with actual Sunday emergency services (with a real person answering the phone to arrange the Sunday emergency service) to fix the A/C instead of waiting for Atlas Mechanical Services to open on Monday to first arrange an actual appointment. ***Also, very disturbing that we are unable to remove A/C from our contract upon becoming aware of this deceptive impossible to arrange weekend emergency A/C Sunday service because we paid for our full year Altas contract 1 month early. We are now stuck with this incomplete service that does NOT have usable emergency Sunday service unless we know of the emergency during normal business hours...crazy and totally nor real life workable - just plain deceptive advertising of an unusable benefit!!!! There is no emergency operator or emergency answering service after 3pm Saturday to request the emergency Sunday service.***

Woman who answers the phone at The Atlas Services in Delray Beach is unprofessional! She is rude, yells, calls you names and hangs up on you. She doesn't give you time to even explain the problem. She calls you a liar and calls you stupid. Atlas needs to get a Receptionist that is professional and understand customer service.

Today my next door neighbor is getting a New AC with Atlas. I found out because I heard my outside water valve being used. I knew that's odd because my pool man was just here yesterday so why is my water being used today? The Atlas installer was using my house water! I live in a private home so this is trespassing & stealing! I called Atlas & they didn't even apologize. Do not trust these people.

Beware. The service provided is very poor. Nothing is ever fix correctly. Don't think they are very knowledgeable in repairs as the problems always remain. The personnel staff, especially the receptionist/schedulers are very rude and very unprofessional. It's unbelievable how they are allowed to speak with customers. I actually referred this company to a customer of mine but they can be assured it will never happen again. I do not recommend this company for any services. They are incompetent and are not qualified to do the job!

they are the worst, they are scam artists. i have a judgment against them and they continually change locataions. their work is not to code and they lie about getting permits. do not use them.

Atlas mechanical arrives on time and does the work however - and it's a big however - they will steal the rebate from FPL and falsify their paperwork in order to do so. We have contacted FPL and they will be in touch with Atlas to call them to task. Needless to say, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. By the way, if you call them and give them the opportunity to admit they stole your rebate, they will deny it. They must wonder why they get no stars. Now you know why they get no stars.

Called them on Sunday, because my A/C stopped working. The rep was very nice, she gave me an appointment right away. They were there in less than 3 hours and fixed it . The service tech was very professional. There charges were reasonable compared to other A/C companies I called for Sunday service. I am very happy with the service.

Writing specifically about the Atlas in Boynton/Del Ray beach.... DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. My experience with them was so full of problems that there is too much to explain, but some highlights are: Over billing Bad Information on the phone Lack of warrantee on work Promises broken Take advantage of the elderly And they record phone calls without your awareness or consent. And they told me they """"have lawyers on call if I chose to leave negative online reviews."""" Long story short, it cost over $500 to get an AC line drained. Do yourself a favor and call another service.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Had them some work on the brand new unit that I had them put in- they came out 5 times in one year because it stopped working- never fixed the problem, then after one year told me it was my own problem now.
