I purchased a condo that had polybutyelen pipes. My home inspector told me I would need to replace these pipes sooner rather than later. I called around and got outrageous estimates for my tiny 2 bath condo. I was googling pipe replacements and found Atlantic Re-Plumbing. I spoke with the owner, Radek, who was very nice and professional on the phone. His estimate was right around where my home inspector told me I would probably be paying, so I hired Radek's company. The pipe replacement workers showed up exactly on time on the day they were supposed to. They covered my entire living space with plastic to minimize their mess. They were very kind and professional workers as well. They finished the job by the afternoon. Next up the contractor showed up. Poor guy came right on time, but the WSSC inspector was late. WSSC had just changed their laws at the time of my re-pipe and an expansion tank and a 1024 had to be installed on my water heater. Basically, this meant I ""failed"" the inspection, but the contractor could start patching the holes in my walls and ceiling. I called Radek and he was SUPER accommodating. He sent the pipe guys back the next day when they finished up another job, they attached the 1024 and expansion tank, free of charge to me, and were on their way. The next day WSSC came back out and passed the job! It was about a 3-4 day process with the re-pipe, inspection, and drywall patching. The contractor also laid down tarps and plastic to help minimize the mess. He did a fabulous job patching and painting. Also, because I did this re-pipe, the guys found a leak in my master bathroom which we never would have found and could have caused some major damage. I would highly recommend this company as I feel they did a great job with the re-pipe and cleaning up after themselves.
Had my whole house replumbed to replace polybutylene pipes. Everything was done on the schedule they gave me ( about 5 days) and the work was excellent. In most places, even I cant see where the work was done and I know where it was done! In a few places, I can see the result but it is so minor, no one else would notice. Paint was matched exactly. Sure, its messy and inconvenient while the work is underway but no more than a realistic person should expect. The clean up was well don't too. I highly recommend them. And Rodek, who some other reviewers did not have a good experience with, was excellent and professional.
I'm so glad I chose Atlantic Replumbing to get my polybutylene pipes replaced. They did a great job, I can't even tell where they took out drywall, and for much less than other plumbing services quoted! Would definitely use them again for any replumbing needs (but glad we wont have to!)
Kevin G.I had nothing but a great experience with Atlantic Replumbing. I called several companies about getting my old polybutelene pipes changed in the entire house. They were the best priced overall, and they covered everything. Changing all the pipes to patching the wall and even painting it for you. I called on a Wednesday afternoon and they were able to schedule me the very next day (since there was an opening in their schedule). The first day, the 3 guys went through the house, and was able to change all my pipes within the day itself. They showed up at 8am, and finished by 4pm, cleaned up and left by 5pm. We were able to use everything afterwards. The next day, we had to wait for the inspector to show up, before the next team could patch and paint. They were unable to finish all the patching and painting on Friday, but came the next day, on a Saturday, to finish the basement. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone that needs to have their plumbing replaced.
Whitney H.Absolutely unacceptable. Radek Koci, the owner/manager is unethical, unprofessional, and unwilling to provide quality work. His employees left our home in an unlivable state on a Friday, and when we calledRadek to have his employees come out to cover the holes in our ceilings and walls with plastic (as is typical practice with similar work we've had done) and clean our home (because they did not put any plastic down to cover anything), he refused, yelled at me, interrupted me, and threatened to put a mechanics lien on our home. I then handed my phone to my husband, but Radek was still unwilling to make any of the work right. Despite having given the employees my phone number and telling them to call me if they needed anything and when they finished (I am not in the habit of giving house keys to strangers), they did not call, and so we came home to an unlocked door and what appeared to be a ransacked house.
Since his employees had not cleaned anything up or attempted to put our furniture and appliances back in place, we cleaned and moved things ourselves, which revealed a broken vase. When we told Radek about it, he said his employees had told him about it when he stopped by at noon that day, meaning that he had made the decision not to tell us about it.
Additionally, I had asked, before we scheduled the work, if I would be able to use our shower over the weekend, since the work would be starting on Friday and not starting again until Monday. He told me yes, that I would be able to use my shower and he assured me that our home would be left in a livable state. This was not true, since there were uncovered holes in our ceilings and walls, and there was insulation and exposed drywall in my shower.
Further, I asked the worker specifically before I left for the day if I needed to remove our custom shelving in one of our closets. They assured me that I did not need to remove it because they could access it from the other side of the wall. This was also not true, and as a result, they broke off pieces of our custom shelving.
The rest of the work days, the employees were late, messy, and I had to stay and watch them all day. I do not recommend this company for any reason.
Ritu D.Some of the reviews are really old. I had an opportunity to hire Atlantic Plumbing recently and absolutely recommend them to my friends and family. They were reasonably (competitively) price. While some companies were expensive/less expensive they did not include drywall repair. Which was big deal after all the work completed!!
The owner himself supervised and we had issues after the replacement (non-related to the poly pipes) he came by and helped out resolve without extra charge.
I had this company replace all the pipes in my house. Badly done job. Didn't show up when they said they would. Left a hole in the bathroom with the water gushing out over the weekend. It took a long time for them to finish the job and what drywall and painting they did was not good. My ceilings in living room and basement are falling out.

My Condo Community hired this company back in 2010 to re-pipe our units, they were the most unprofessional company I have dealt with. The 1st day of work in my unit I came home to a broken dining room light fixture! Then after the re-plumb was done, I went to use my washer & dryer only to find out that they had broken the vent off my dryer & broke it completely. I had to pay someone to come & repair the dryer vent they destroyed. Then they sent my invoice to another unit & when I did finally get my correct invoice for the re-plumb they tried to tack on a late fee for payment, because my pill had not been paid. I told them I was not paying the late fee due to their clerical error & I also deducted the damages that I had to pay out of my own pocket from the bill. Now almost 3 and 1/2 years later I found out that they painted my master bathroom ceiling with a flat paint, instead of the semigloss paint. The flat paint holds moisture, so I thought I had water damage on my bathroom ceiling coming from the upstairs unit. Today I finally got a professional in the bathroom to check things out. No water damage, the flat paint because it holds moisture will let dust or dirt attach to the areas that are not dry & when it dries it looks like you have water damage stains all over your ceiling. The professional that came in today told me that using a flat paint is the cheap way out, most professionals would never use flat paint in a bathroom only semi gloss paint, due to the moisture issue with flat paint. So now I had to have a piece of my master bathroom ceiling cut to make sure there was no water damage. That had to be put back in & re-dry walled. Tomorrow the true professional is coming to give my ceiling a good cleaning & repaint it with a semi gloss paint. Now guess who has to pay for this? I do! I called them to talk to them about this matter, the person was so rude & told me not the company's fault. Then he tried to tell me that I did not personally pay for the re-plumb of my unit that my HOA did, so why was I so upset? I got the job done for free!! I told him that I was looking at a copy of my personal check that I paid directly to Atlantic Replumbing with my own signature on it & that the HOA did not pay for the replumb, the homeowners did & he needed to get his facts straight. He also told me that he was not going to cover my cost of having the work done on my master bathroom ceiling. They do a good job with the pipes, but beware do the road like me you will have to pay for a problem that they cut a corner on. So don't waste your time or money on them. Unprofessional & rude!!!
We contacted Atlantic Replumbing to repipe our townhome. We had been working with another company who jerked us around and refused to set a start date for the project, but our house had sold and we were under a time crunch. Atlantic Replumbing quoted us $3500 for the project. It did take a day longer than they'd originally thought to finish, but the workers showed up on time every day, did a really thorough job, and they were able to squeeze us in last minute. Both the quote and the amount of time to complete the project was lower than a quote we received from the other company.
There are very few companies in the northern Virginia area who do the entire replumbing project (myself and my realtor only knew of 3), including drywall and clean-up, and if you have to have this project done on your house I don't know that you'll do better than Atlantic Replumbing.
Yes, they are cheapskates and boarder on fraudulent. I know how to repair drywall and told them I wanted the boards attached to the joists, not just screwed into each side of the drywall patch. They used the cheapest paint they can get - 2-3 coats on my ceiling of the same color never covered it well. They tried two painters. And be careful, some of the painters try to get extra money from you for painting other areas. Don't do it! And, be careful of the outdoor faucets. They replace frost free ones and put on a check valve. Then, they put on a ""screw on"" backfow stop mechanism. The directions on the unit say you are not to leave the water one. Well, I have an outdoor watering system. Every time I flushed a toilet or turned the kitchen sink water off, the water would spray OUTSIDE, out of that device. I complained and BOUGHT good frost-free shut off values on my own and they agreed to put them in. They are the cheapest game in town for poly repairs, but watch them!!!
