********DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER!! ***************** On Feb. 23, 2015 (almost a year ago!), I hired Mike Harley, Atlantic Plumbing Services, to install a new faucet for my downstairs pedestal sink. It must have been difficult for him to do because I heard him yelling about it in the bathroom. He actually took the sink bowl off the pedestal and set it on the floor to work on. Well, something happened during the install because after he left, I washed my hands in that sink and saw a BIG CRACK in my beautiful sink!!! I should NOT have paid him yet! I had my husband call him...he said to give him time to look for a replacement sink. He asked for pictures of it and my husband sent them along with the dimensions. Well, it is like he fell off the face of the earth! He doesn't answer phone calls or email messages. I see he has read the email messages, too. I just sent him 1 last email to see if he will do the right thing and respond and fix what he broke....or refund my money! I would hate for this to get ugly....but game on!

Very fast response and very friendly staff. The plumber Mike who came over to fix our plumbing was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Very professional and would definitely call again for my plumbing.

Suggest staying away from the company, although company is bit of an overstatement. It's really just a one-man show. I was quoted more than $1000 above what was reasonable for a water heater installation, but we were in a hurry and since Mike had done work for us before so we went with it. That's on us. But then when he gave us the final bill he charged our credit card $325 more than the quote. It nearly three weeks to respond (my e-mail supposedly went to their spam folder), and then when Mike finally did call back he apologized and said it was an error and that he would refund the $325. A week later, guess what--no refund and no further response. Mike may be a very honest business man and may do great work, but this experience makes me question otherwise. I've never seen anything like this before from a licensed contractor and wanted to give fair warning for anyone looking for a plumber in the Mount Pleasant, SC area.

Our tankless water heater kept going out. It happened when in snowed in Charleston in jan 2014, but I made the operator and plumber (Mike) aware that this happens all the time and not just when it's cold. There was a error code and if he knew anything about Rheem tankless water heaters, he would know what the code meant. Instead, he tapped on it, told us to build a box around it and charged $100 (I was assured I would get an estimate before he came and repeatedly got no response!). They have a """"100% satistfaction guarantee"""" plastered all over their website, so I called because I was not satisfied when 2 weeks later the hot water went out again. Mike refused to talk to me and demanded he speak to my husband (sexist much??) and then asked if we built the box. Before I handed the phone over, Mike said if it needed anything else- it would be a part. If it needs a part, then order it and fix it! I called Rheem and gave them the code and they sent step-by-step instructions on how to fix this issue and we did it ourselves in 10 minutes. To make it even better, the company stopped answering the phone after that because it obviously connects to a cell and they recognized my number. DO NOT TRUST OR EVER USE!!!

Negative stars!!!! I have been using Mike and his company, Atlantic Plumbing, for 5+ years. As of today, that's over. Was never 100% sold on him. Never protected the floor when he spread his tools out, made careless mistakes, etc. Today he quoted me almost $600 to replace 2 shower cartridges and a garden tub valve insert. Oh, and I had all of the parts. Being in construction, I'm aware of what reasonable costs should be, and he would have had no more than 1.5 hours onsite. Wish I could get $400 per hour for my labor!!! Steer clear of this company unless you want to be triple charged for inferior work that will probably have to be redone. Hate to give such a negative review, but everyone needs to be warned.

Atlantic does high quality fairly priced work. Mike Harley is the owner AND the person that does the job. He is highly competent and the consummate professional! He is very responsive and if you have an emergency he makes himself available to remedy the situation. I'm a very particular person and couldn't be happier with him. I have been dealing with him for over 4 years.

During the past nine years we have utilized Atlantic Plumbing Services on eight occasions. Mike Harley has done an exceptional job with each of the projects. He has always been prompt, professional and reasonable with the cost of the services. No matter how difficult or unpleasant the task has been, he has always maintained the same constant kind demeanor. It is without reservation that we recommend this service.

Mike and his team not only showed up on time each day, they did a fantastic job installing the plumbing for my new basement bathroom. I had another Patriotic plumbing company show up with a quote double what I paid Atlantic. Excellent installation, professional plumbers. I have found """"my plumber"""" for all my future work. Highly recommended.

This review would have been five star but I am so disappointed with this company. My tenants told me that they didn't have hot water so I called this company after finding them online. They weren't able to come out for three days but my tenants didn't mind so that is not why I am giving them one star. The plumber called me with the quote and I agreed. He proceeded to do the work. When he called me to tell that he was through and that everything was fine, he told me that he had to charge me an extra $100 because """"the lines were revered/switched from installation in 2006."""" Huh? I asked him why this mattered (this had nothing to do with the problem at hand) and why he went ahead and did the work without consulting me. He told me that only half of the tank was being used. He had NO authorization to proceed with the additional work. He should have called me to share this discovery and review the work and costs with me. I told the Office Admin about my problem when she called about payment. She was really nice but not helpful at all. She told me that she'd take the problem to the """"roundtable discussion."""" So basically they could care a less about the extra $100 or my thoughts on this. I will NEVER use this company again. They had the opportunity twice to fix this and make it right and they chose not to. Even if that means going back in and changing the lines to the original setting.
