Recommended Customer Reviews

This company is unbelievable to say the least... I would never recommend this company. Anyone looking for well services etc steer clear. Literally only offer a year warranty on there products and work...

I've used them consistently for my septic service. They've always been responsive and usually priced a bit below others in the area. They really excelled when the service line from the street to my house broke last year. It was a major job requiring them to bring in a backhoe and some other equipment. They had 2 trucks about 4 or 5 workers here for several hours... treating it like a genuine emergency. The price they charged was a good bit below what I had expected. And about thirty percent less than some software estimates I had looked up.

Great company, I recommend this company to businesses and upper class houses! Great family !!

I like this business well enough, but clearly one plumber stands out above the rest. Larry. I find Larry to be nice, responsive, reasonable, and honest. He was very respectful and gentle with my current equipment. I plan to continue to use Larry in the future. Also the customer service is outstanding! The team is very responsive and has more than once sent a service person out within 24 hours. The hourly rate is also very reasonable. I give this business a 3/5 because I'm not convinced that their overall prices for big jobs are the best. I definitely recommend that you call around and get quotes for big jobs. And ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask for Larry.

Contacted Athens Plumbing & Well Service about doing a job and never got a response. It has been over a week and they obviously don't want the job. Take your business elsewhere.

i bought a house that had a sticker on the hot water heater for Athens Plumbing & Well Service, and when it developed a slow drip leak at one of the fittings connected to it, I called them based on the fact that they had obviously installed it. I also wanted them to disconnect and cap off another water pipe that was no longer needed. I asked them for a estimate for what i wanted done and was told they couldn't give me an estimate and that it would just depend on what needed to be done and what parts would be required.... ??? isn't that what you do when you give someone an estimate? look at what needs to be done and then calculate a cost for the job? I should've known better , but let them do the work anyway. They were there for about an hour and glued a new pvc fitting together where the leak was and then used those shark bite fitting to cap off the other line... didn't have to do any soldering of the copper pipe or anything else. Then the guy goes to his truck and comes back with a invoice for over $530. It was at that time that I realized why they didn't want to give me an estimate. They wanted to do the job with a blank check. I will NEVER use them for anything ever again. It was a complete RIPOFF.

I'll use Athens Plumbing again. They handled my call professionally, made an appointment with my tenant to assess the problem, provided me with a quote prior to doing the work, and the prices were reasonable and less than another quote.

I was replacing the fixtures in a shower near where this company is located is why I bought from them. I'm not a plumber so I took the worn out parts with me to make sure I purchased the right stuff. When I entered the store a lady, Libby I think was her name , said she could fix me up with what I needed by looking at what I had brought in. She really seemed to know about plumbing fixtures so I felt comfortable buying what she advised me I needed. I went back to the job and proceeded to working on installing the new parts but nothing seemed to line up right. I then took everything back apart and reassembled them a few more times! I was tired by now so I quit for the day. Next morning same thing. I started looking and comparing the new parts to the old and they didn't match up so my wife called the store and Libby answered. She said we might have to mix in some of the old parts to get it to work! She could have told me the day before she didn't carry the one part that was throwing everything out of whack. When I got home I called a couple of plumbing supply places and priced what she had sold me and her prices were more than double what two other stores sells the exact same thing for.

Okay guys I don't EVER give bad reviews BUT dang ! Athens Plumbing & Well Service really did it ! So our well has been messed up and we called them to come out to look at it , they came and charged us $150 just to tell us we gonna have to pay all this money which if it's needed clearly we were gonna do it BUT a week later one of their employees that went to go check our well decides he can come back to our house and steal stuff and it's not about what he stold but this man really came back to our house looking around like if it was his house BUT what if I was there with the girls alone ! He looked all in our window knocking to make sure nobody was home . And walks around our home looking around to see what all he finds . But anyways I call the company after making the police report and tell them what happened all they wanted was the video to fire their employee nothing more told them I needed the exact amount on how much the quote was and he said he would give me a call back and I called him twice and still no answer that was Friday now forward to today I called and they act like oh we will give you a call back and I told them again and she said they would give me a call back I told her that's exactly what they told me Friday and haven't heard from them and after what happened I thought I would be priority especially after they already gave me a bad taste of their company I thought I'm still gonna give them a second chance and well same thing NEVER again giving this company another dime and y'all take y'alls own risk with them but I'm giving y'all a heads up ! Just ridiculous

Very disappointed in their level of customer care and fair pricing. After having 2 of their service men come out to look at our issue, we received other estimates on the service coming in at half the price than the service men projected. We since learned that this was a common practice for Athens Plumbing to overcharge and therefore, cancelled our service. We then received a very rude call back from Libby attempting to overcharge us (again) for the 30 minute glance the service men provided us with (charging us for 1.25 hours). We were happy to pay for their time, but were taken back by the disrespect and being taken advantage of. Would not recommend Athens Plumbing.
