Very interesting that I had the same exact experience as the other negative reviews for APC Plumbing. My home warranty company sent APC to my house for a leak. Like other reviewers, APC pulled the same stunt on me by telling my home warranty company that I needed a ""modification"" in order to proceed (APC knowing my home warranty company would not approve this). So basically APC got paid by my warranty to spend five minutes at my house and do nothing but make up lies. I had another plumber come out and spend the time to look for my leak without a ""modification."" Beware and do not call this company.

Expect disappointment and you won't be disappointed. This was a warranty repair through AHS but....they are incompetent and belligerent to boot. Over one week to replace a faucet; ""I am ordering the part"" Said Gilbert. A week later another plumber called me to say. ""I can't find one like yours in the plumbing store so....it'll be a few more days."" Never mind, they have more important things to do. Do yourselves a favor, don't do it.

Did not get things fixed the way supposed to be. The front desk lady was so rude and did not have any patience to answer my questions. When I tried to confront her poor customer service skills, she hang up the phone. Life goes on for us and finding a new plumbing company.

Great service. Cant get any better than this. I dont know the young mans name that got my hot water working, but i do know he was friendly and professional. Had hot water in less than 30 minutes.

Using our AHS home warranty plan, they chose APC Plumbing to repair our water heater. I read the reviews and was a bit skeptical on what would happen. I received a text of the job being scheduled, received a call from their office to schedule the job the next day, received a call from Jason who said he was on his way that morning and I didn't have to wait until the end of the 9 AM to Noon service window. Jason was very professional, found the problem with the thermostat and replaced both for safety. There were no hidden costs, and the service was fast. I can't explain or speak to the other posts, but if Jason is doing the work you can expect to have it done right.

APC Plumbing did our warranty work through AHS and we could not be more pleased. Jason from APC Plumbing arrived when expected and he was very professional and knowledgable. Jason was able to fix our plumbing problems without any additional time or costs. We plan on using APC for further plumbing work in the future. Thanks Jason!!

I'll tell you my experience and you decide.

Sheldon at APC came out to look at our water heater because of our A H ome warranty S plan sent them over.

Sheldon Quickly presented us with both with an estimate of a $400+ bill for work that needed to be done that the A H ome warranty S plan will not cover. Without even filing a claim. That didn't sit right with me, APC are plumbers not adjusters. It is up to the insurance company to asses and deny costs.

That evening we called our A H ome warranty S plan to find out what the details were about the work that instantly wouldn't be covered. A H ome warranty S plan had no clue, no report or claim had been filed by APC. So technically they couldn't comment on the work order, they could only summarize that Sheldon somehow knew ahead of time what type of work they wouldn't cover before A H ome warranty S plan had a chance to review the claim.

This morning I received my call back from A H ome warranty S plan supervisor as requested, they stated they will cover all the install and costs associated with install including some of the itemized costs from Sheldon's recommend worksheet (like disposable) except any ""modifications"". Sheldon has recommended $400 of ""modifications"" to a part that costs $320. Yeah read that last part again.

The insurance company would pay APC for parts and labor to install, but not the request for $400 of ""modifications"" needed to do the install install.

I asked the supervisor for the details on the modifications that were necessary, A H ome warranty S plan stated they were not sure but would follow up to get detailed analysis from APC. They did say they were covering the costs of the replacement and and install. Estimate would pay APC about $100 for labor & parts.

A few calls to other licensed plumbers I and received quick over the phone and email written estimates for the labor and parts. Cost is about $100-$150 for install + water heater of my choice or I buy from their company suppliers.

There are no modifications necessary, it's a standard 50 gal 22"" 4ft water heater sitting 16-18"" under the pipes with easy access. 3 short pipes to install and wiring harness to hook up. About 45-60 work and they will haul the old heater away.

You can buy the bendable universal adaptable connections over the counter at any hardware store that bend and adjust to any water heater, there's a selection of metal choices but all range from 12-19 each. Gone are the days where you would have to cut and solder many copper joints to fit in a water heater.

There is no gas line or exhaust, the only 'expert piece of the install would be the cutting and resolder of the copper expansion value pipe, that should take 15 minutes.

Guess what, upon doing some quick research on BBB, Gov and other review sites.... there are many complaints for the same practice for APC. More reviews posted here by real Yelp accounts. So I have nothing to do, so I'll add my complaints to the websites too.

Google and Yelp before you leap.

I'm sorry to hear of the bad reviews here. I know what it's like to get bad customer service and not get a problem fixed. BUT today, 7/8/17, Jason arrived to my home. Yes...on a Saturday, without an additional cost. Jason fixed my leaking faucet and replaced a hose. To ensure that the leak was fixed, he waited until it was dry. I was really impressed by the office, and the tech, Jason. The scheduling was convenient, and they kept me abreast of the time frame. But more importantly, they fixed my problem. This was a really great experience overall. I would give a hundred starts if the system allowed it. Thank you Athena's Plumbing!

I had this company come out to repair some leaks and a faulty water heater. They where sent by American home shield. This company is a joke and if they where the only plumbing company in town I would never use them again. My water heater still is not working properly
I tried calling them on Saturday June 24th to let them know I need them to come back. I called 4-5 times and they kept hanging up without even identifying a company name. Finally on the 6th call and answering machine was available I left my information. About 2 hours later some really ignorant and arrogant women called and said they where not open on Saturday and sounded pissed that she was even calling me back she basically told me off and said they would not take care of the problem and to call American home shield. Also when the tech was here I asked him to take a look outside by one of my garden hoses there was a leak he said that would not be under the warranty company and told me it would cost $ 325.00 to fix I said let it go. I ended up fixing it my self with a $12 pipe wrench that I originally did not have and put a new back flow unit and a new hose total cost $52.00. What a scam.

Absolutely garbage. I placed the work order on a Friday evening for a leaking water heater. They showed up Tuesday morning and the technician took all of ten minutes to disconnect the water heater and drop it on the floor of my garage. Then 24 hours later, I had to contact them to see if they were going to install the new one. At this point, they said the home warranty company (AHS-they will get their own negative review after) would not cover $454. My warranty specifically states ""COVERED: All components and parts, including tankless water heaters and circulating pumps, except: NOT COVERED: AUXILIARY HOLDING OR STORAGE TANKS - NOISE - FUEL STORAGE TANK AND ENERGY CONSERVATION UNIT.""
They run some kind of scam stating they have to make modifications when all they did was replace a pipe they cut in the first place. They made zero modifications to anything with the exception of replacing the pipe THEY cut in the first place.
When they told me this was what the charge was for, I told Tonya I was not paying that and they needed to contact my warranty company as I spoke with them and I believed APC was trying to cheat me out of the money. I was told they would contact the warranty company. I myself spoke with AHS and told them they either needed to cover it or get me another plumber to do it without the additional charges. When APC finally showed up and installed the water heater that following Friday afternoon after my family went a week without hot water, they hit my wife with a bill of $454. My wife called me and put the plumber on the phone. I told him to have his company call me as I thought we had settled this.
When they called me, they immediately threatened me with theft of services, would not allow me to even get a word in edgewise and was extremely rude. I tried getting his name and he refused to provide it. I will NEVER use them again. In addition, I will be switching my home warranty company as well.
It amazes me they treat a disabled vet the way they treated me.
