I had a leak in the bathroom that required emptying a bucket every 2 hours. I called At Your Service in the morning and had someone out 2 hours later. Yes. I believe they did a good job. And yes. I agreed to the price. I had no choice. However, after seeing how long it took to fix 2 valves (1 1/2 hour) with $15 in parts, I believe I was gouged. The bill was $759.
I will buy a key now to turn off the water at the street in case I'm in this position again.

I appreciate ythe quality of the service.I just think the price was out of line.

As you wrote, I accepted your bid and you did the service. I had thought, given the quote, that the service you were going to to perform was commensurate with the price you quoted. It was not. Instead, it reflected an hourly rate of $300 to $400. And that was after figuring out that you did not have the parts and would have to return to perform the work.

You did include a fee of $15 to look at the problem. That was very fair.

Also, I agreed to the quote and was willing to pay in full. That does not mean that I had to like being charged what you charged.

I still maintain that your price was too high for the job performed. I have no doubt that I would have been on the hook of there had been any further complications.

As for Applewood... I have used them in the past and they definitely outdo any other plumbing company I have used in the way of overcharging.

Second job for this company and it will be the last! Be aware the owner is rude and horrible to speak to. I was given a quote that is apparently not by the company so it was wrong. The owner said to cut costs they hired a third party that apparently they can't be accountable for on their pricing.

Absolutely terrible. They lie on their quotes and end up charging more. When we complained, and noted the discrepancy we spoke with the owner and were told there's nothing they would do about it. Not even a single attempt to rectify the dollar amount difference. They may offer ""free"" estimates, but they do not abide by them in the least.

This company cares nothing about their customers or providing honest, up-front costing. Stay away.
