Very disappointed in the business owner of this company. As a business owner myself, I am floored at the absence of professionalism from the owner himself. Our Real Estate team scheduled a quote for a sewer line replacement. We promptly received a bid from one of the employees within a few business days via text. He was aware of the timeline we had to abide by in this real estate transaction. Weeks had gone by with multiple phone calls and unanswered text messages from Askland. The week of projected closing on the home, I called Askland one more time. The owner, Art, had answered this time. I had informed him that we haven't received any call backs from their company despite many attempts on our end. He snapped back at me in an uncivil manner that they're been busy and that there's no way to complete the task prior to our deadline. He then passed the phone off to the same employee that I received the bid from, Matt. Matt was much more professional and apologetic for their lack of professionalism. I was astounded that I was INITIALLY speaking with the owner and the employee had to apologize for the owner's behavior. Matt then informed me that he would get the job done prior to the deadline and apologized once again. Moments later, I receive a call back from the owner, who introduces himself & then states ""apparently you have some heartburn with me"". I was stunned by his introduction & the audacity that he would start out a conversation in such a trivial & aggressive manner when he really should be apologizing for his previous behavior. He then proceeded to carry on that HE is the owner & that's how HE does his business. He works with plenty of Realtors and if I don't like it, then we can find someone else. He then threatened to call another agent in my office & see what he would have to say about it. I explained to him that we are all independent contractors & calling that agent wouldn't have any effect. I was wishing him farewell as the conversation was just getting more hostile & that's when he hung up on me. I cannot believe that is how the OWNER of the company is treating customers and clients.
