My toilet wouldn't shut off when it was filling up and out would overflow. Curtis's prices were very fair, he was very personable, and very prompt even though I wasn't his first appointment of the day. I'll definitely be calling him back for future work.

I called this company on a Saturday after slightly damaging one of the gas line runs inside the basement. Won't tell me a price or even an hourly rate to come out and repair it. All I wanted to know was what to expect.

EDIT: I appreciated Curtis' call to clear up the concern. I think had he said ""I don't charge a fee to show up--I will quote and fix it"" would have been better. I recommend he take this approach.

I will definitely use Ashton Plumbing again if I need their service. Curtis was very polite, respectful and professional..arrived on time. I had a leak in the kitchen, called later afternoon Wed and he was here at 730 Thurs morning. Plus he is a small business owner..I would much rather do my business with someone like Curtis than with a major company.

I called about an outdoor faucet issue that I thought may be a problem. He came out and told me everything was ok but would have to charge me $120 for a service call. It only took him 2 mins to see that everything was ok. Since he was going to charge me 120 I asked him a few more questions and the total time was 15 mins. I am going to get some plumbing work done in the future but will not use him. I would understand even 50 bucks for his time but not 120. He lost a future customer.

I found Curtis though Yelp and like the reviews, unfortunately my experience was far from satisfactory. He came early on Monday morning as promised (I guess one start for punctuality) but he did not seem prepared, all he brought inside my place was a screw driver. He was not able to fix the problem, elevated the situation to an emergency status, tried to charge me $75 for a $40 part that I bought at Home Depot and was quick to charge me $125 for a diagnostic. No water was running in the shower when he came but he left me with a constant drip of hot water. He was supposed to come back later to finish the work but I told him later not to bother since I ended up changing the part and fixing the problem.

Very rarely do you meet a plumbing services professional like Curtis who stops by to assess the issue, then shows you how to fix a small problem yourself free of charge. I cannot reiterate that Curtis is the most genuine, honest, and reliable plumber in the NOVA area. I would highly recommend his services.
