Ashokan Water Services originated in the year 1997 by a group of professionals in the water sector and kayakers and canoers that recognized the challenges that landlords deal with in handling and preserving water and set out to lead the way in protecting water. The objective was to design and implement effective water-saving strategies for New York City's large, water guzzling buildings and to protect and preserve New York's natural watersheds. Currently, we are honored to be the leading provider of water management solutions.

Hershel serves as a Water Management Engineer with our company, where he engages with sustainable water practices and issues related to eco-friendly building design. Prior to his stint at Ashokan Water Services, he was an engineer with the City of New York. He is now the head of the New York division of the ASPE and is a member of the AWWA, NYARM, and BOMA. Hershel is an avid kayaker.
