Our company, Ashokan Water Services originated in 1997 by a collective of professionals in the water sector who share a passion for kayaking and canoeing that recognized the challenges that property managers encounter in handling and conserving water and aimed to set the standard in protecting water. Their goal was to create and execute water conservation solutions for the city's big, water-intensive facilities and to safeguard and maintain New York's natural watersheds. At present, we are honored to be New York City's water management and conservation company.

Hershel is a Water Management Engineer with Ashokan Water Services, where he participates with conservation efforts and green building design issues. Prior to his stint at our team, he was an engineer with New York City. He is now the president of the New York division of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and is a member of organizations such as AWWA, NYARM, and BOMA. He enjoys kayaking.
