We had 2 other plumbers and 2 GCs who stopped by and give us install quotes besides ASAP Keith. We wanted a Navien certified installer and so we called him after calling few others from the Navien website. Keith is very knowledgable, very honest, absolutely hands on and gave us great service. The other 2 Navien certified offered permitting at an additional rate per hour for the day of inspection, his was included in the quote. Keith balanced the work involved and was here on the day of inspection. He installed the Navien outdoor unit for us. His was the most competitive bid as well. He spent quality time to explain us do's and don'ts on the unit late evening after his work was done, he did not rush into the job. He didn't try to sell the water softeners or any accessories that he thought were not required. Great person, will definitely recommend him for these services.

Kei is a great guy, and really seems to know his stuff. We've used him twice to fix problems with our Navien tankless water heater. Most recently, we called him on Christmas Eve (Wednesday) when our water heater stopped working, knowing that he might not be available right away. He called us back the day after Christmas, and said he was headed out of town and couldn't look at it until Monday. We booked the appointment, as no other tankless specialists in the area were available any sooner.

Once here, Kei quickly tracked down the problem, and showed me how to deal with it myself in the future (something not included in the manual). The entire service took less than an hour.

Two minor complaints: First, ASAP claims to have tankless specialists available 24/7, but that wasn't true on this occasion. I called their other East Bay number (925-223-7038), and didn't even get voice mail, much less a live person. In addition, the minimum labor rate has gone up to $150 (from $125 in 2013). That's pretty expensive for less than an hour's work (plus some travel time). But at least I know the work will be done well, and that's the most important thing.

My water heater broke yesterday. You won't know how important the hot water is untill you don't get any. With no knowledge of plumbing, I called Home Depot this morning, unfortunately they can not do the same day installation although I called at 7:30am. So I called a couple of plumbers found on Yelp with 5 star ratings, but the quote they gave me is much higher than HD. Finally my neighbor recommended ASAP plumbing to me as they were happy with their service before. I called ASAP, the person answered the phone was very polite, and also very patient when I asked questions about permit. They quote me a very reasonable price and arranged the same day insallation this afternoon. The work man showed up on time in the afternoon and replaced my water heater in about 2 hours. I'm very happy with the service and I know who to call next time when I need plumbing work done.

Really, before you make a dicision, give ASAP plumbing a call, you won't regret it.

These guys were awesome! I had trouble scheduling a time with them. They asked another customer to switch times and were able to accommodate us both ON A SATURDAY. They had the best price by about $300. They did a little extra work at no extra charge (placed a strap on a second water heater that was missing one). I could not be more than happy!

No hot water. No problem. Called ASAP San Leandro. Came to Palo Alto in about 1 hour and repaired hot water heater. Parts on the truck, friendly, honest. Knew what they were doing. Price fair, work quick. Perfect. Like good old days!

This is the second time I had this company fix my plumbing and heater problems. The first time they reroute all my gas pipes and the second time was the water pipe leakage. They did excellent job! I'm very satisfied!

I had a leaking water heater and wanted it fixed fast since the water was pooling up in my garage.

I called a few places from the yellow pages, and I checked here on yelp and saw this company was very close by (I live in Heron Bay in San Leandro).

Of the five places I called up, this place gave me the least expensive quote on a new water heater. I called them from work around 11am and they offered to do it right away. I said, well..I am at work, but I could come out at 12 during my lunch, and they said o.k. I came from work around 12pm, and they came 5 minutes later, and replaced the water heater (took the old one too) within 30 minutes. I gave them a check, and I was back in time for work....so I can say in my case...they did live up to their company name ASAP. They were the most reasonable in price, but to be honest, I don't know for sure if there are any cheaper since I called only 4 other places (including Home Depot)...but overall, I'm satisified and would recommend.

By the way, the water heater they installed is fine. Water is nice and hot and have had no problems.

Water heater stopped working two days ago. Called PG&E to send over a guy to find out what's wrong. Finds out it's the thermostat that needs replacing. With two young boys, I'm frantically trying to find a store that carries the part. No luck. My wife searches Yelp for a plumber and decides on ASAP Water Heater. Gets in touch with Kevin and despite the fact he already had a full day (he called us to let us know), schedule us in the day of.

Kevin arrives and has the part we need. He was very friendly and professional and informative. At every step he was showing me and explaining to me what was wrong as well as giving me tips on how to service the water heater myself -- whether lighting it, draining it, etc.

We're definitely keeping his business card for any future plumbing needs. Kevin know his stuff and is careful with his work!

Kevin is amazing and knows what he is doing! My leaking water heater only needed a fairly quick (and inexpensive) fix to correct instead of replacement as I had originally thought. The fix saved me $$$. Kevin knows plumbing and can easily diagnose the problem, and offer a cost effective solution. He does NOT take advantage of those who are less in the know than he is. And the best part -- he left his shoes on my doorstep when he entered my home.

I would definitely recommend ASAP Plumbing without a doubt. I would get a live person every time I call. Kevin even came out on a Sunday to give me a quote (with a cheerful attitude to add). He came on time and even gave me a heads-up call15 minutes before arriving. He is informative and knowledgeable on his products and best of all, no bull crap. Straight to the point to let me know what is doable and what is not and what would be needed for installation, no surprises. I had quotes from other places, they are the most impressive with the best competitive prices to add.

The installers John and Andrew kept the same professionalism and knowledge as like Kevin. Kept me up to date as time went on and finished on time. They even cleaned up the area. They did not do anything sub par. All the work is done extremely well and far exceeds minimal standards in my opinion. They even called me the next day to follow up.
