I called the number listed to inquire about having someone come out to check on a toilet that was not flushing. Someone answered the phone and said that he would call me back in 15 minutes, and he never called back. I love when businesses give me very clear proof that they are unreliable, BEFORE I hire them. I called another company, and they arrived within two hours and got the job done.

Tom came out (twice!) to fix two different problems at my apartment. He's extremely responsive both on yelp and over the phone. Importantly, he came on time, and called to let me know when he was on his way. He was also able to schedule a time to come out the day after or two days after I called. He offered advice about replacement parts and future maintenance I could do to avoid problems in the future. (Tom, if you're reading this I already replaced both valves!)

Tom has been doing plumbing jobs for me for a long time. Every time I call, I get prompt responses, reasonable prices and thorough work. He has done sewer work, put in a flood control, cleaned a sump pump, repaired a sink for me and my elderly parents for very reasonable prices. But it's not the reasonable prices that keep me as a loyal customer. It's that I know I can trust him to do the job right and not cut corners or rake me over the coals for unnecessary expenses. That alone is worth its weight in gold!!! I highly recommend him and his crew, who are conscientious and leave the work site clean as a whistle (I am very fussy about that!!) He is very knowledgeable and explains everything he does, in detail, so you know exactly what is going on. Communication with him is extraordinarily good for the average tradesman/professional, and the service prompt, which is a big relief when you are without water or flooding!! This guy has my business for life.....

Our basement had flooded and I was looking on the Internet and found Tom Schmidt from ASAP plumbing. Tom was super responsive and went to work immediately. We had 6 inches of water in the basement and found out that the tree roots had impacted our sewer lines. The bad news was we needed a flood control system to stop the water from flooding the basement for all of these years. The good news is we found Tom and he is truly an expert. He and his guys did a outstanding job and after 10 days of digging and construction the job was finished on time and on budget. They were so neat that you never would've even though they were there. Tom is awesome. He explained everything and we could tell he knows what he is doing and is an honest guy. The price was fair and the work was excellent. Our house is old and janky. He fixed bad work and made everything good. I am very happy with his work. If you want an honest skilled plumber, this is your guy. I will hire him again for the other work we need done.

I contacted ASAP Plumbing /Tom for a 2nd opinion and a 2nd video estimate regarding tree roots getting into my sewer system.
This is all preventive - as I have never had any flooding in my basement and am planning to keep it that way.
Needless to say, he got the job.
Tom was an excellent communicator, explaining everything well and keeping me fully informed all the way. He and his crew were professional, hard working and left the site in a great shape.
In fact, he said that they will come back in about 1 month's time to check and even out the mound - unless it's not fully settled on it's own...

I am happy to recommend Tom and his company to everyone!

Tom responded to my email in Yelp, and came to help my parents' nearly flooded bathroom in Austin neighborhood. He didn't actually do the job for us, but his enforcing attitude to call (1) the property manager, and the building plumber to act on the problem that my 80-year old parents were having, in which the building almost tried to neglect to help. His tenacity to speak to the right parties helped us in getting the issues resolved and getting attention from property manager.

Tom was great. I hopefully don't need his services again, but if that happens in the future, I will not hesitate to call him.
