I have an old sink that wouldn't stop running. Other plumbers said the parts were too old and I would need to get a whole new sink. I called A & S on a recommendation from a friend and low and behold, they were able to fix the whole thing in an hour. And the price was extremely fair. I want to give a big shout out to the three guys at A&S Plumbing. I do some amateur repair work around my house and - when I'm not making things worse - my know-how tends to save me a lot of money. Sometimes, though, I run into something that I'm simply not equipped to fix.

Such was the case when my kitchen sink backed up on both sides yesterday. I tried everything I knew, and it became apparent to me that there was a substantial clog far down in my pipes. I dismantled the PVC fixture, spilled gross water everywhere, and ultimately could not resolve my issue. I was sopping wet and stressed out.

We were unable to use the sink while this problem was present, and we couldn't reasonably prepare food in the kitchen. Time was an important factor! I phoned several businesses, fully prepared to pay an emergency service call premium and fully prepared to accept any run-of-the-mill company in the name of clawing back into normal living.

A&S was one of only two companies to return my 10 pm call before 10 am the following morning. They were also the only company that worked to fit me in the very same day. The person I spoke with on the phone was also very courteous.

Not knowing much about A&S, I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.

Josh showed up punctually, comfortably within the time window in which I was told to expect him. He was charming, professional, kind to my dogs, very knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain everything he was doing. He isn't merely ""a handy dude who can fix a few things"" - he's a professional who understands the nuances of a specific craft extensively.

When part of my old, corroding pipe unexpectedly crumbled during the process of snaking the clog, Josh skillfully adapted and chiseled out a small section of the wall to accommodate a more appropriate fitting. He cautioned me about what I might expect from my old pipes in the years to come and also gave me great recommendations for keeping my pipes clog-free in the interim.

Josh did a fantastic job, though I was apprehensive at the thought of what my bill might amount to. I approved the repair without requesting an estimate, based on the company's good reviews and based on the fact that I was simply desperate to get the job done. I don't mind paying for good work, even though the price tag might elicit a private cringe from me. My grand total, however, was at least one-third lower than I anticipated; instead of feeling pained, I was relieved.

On top of it all, Josh even cleaned up his work area afterward, which was wholly unnecessary and unexpected.

After a terrible experience with the crooks over at Tom Drexler Plumbing, Air & Electric, I would have been fully satisfied with mediocrity. A&S provided so much more than that, though!

I haven't had a go-to company for plumbing in about ten years, but I'll be sticking with A&S from now on. They're a small, local outfit consisting of only three plumbers. To me, this equates to quality control and highly-personalized service.

Thanks to A&S, the job was even finished in time for my lovely wife to prepare a delicious dinner. Eighteen hours ago, I was scrambling around the kitchen and pulling my hair out in frustration. Now I'm eating homemade Chicken Parmesan in bed next to a hot woman and my only worry in the world is what show we should watch next on Netflix.

Tech Kevin called and arrived quickly ahead of the scheduled ETA for service work. He provided a reasonable estimate for the repair and replacement parts for an older toilet. He also wore his PPE while on site to protect us and himself during the virus pandemic. It's not easy to work with PPE on. The job went well and in just a little over an hour, I had a repaired toilet with new parts. I highly recommend A&S for your next plumbing repair or install.

I had a major clog in my sewer line. Kevin and Devin came out and immediately figured out the issue and took care of the clog! They were super nice and informative when I asked questions. I am extremely grateful to them for fixing my issue and for coming out in the rain and cold. I would definitely use this company again if I have plumbing issues. We had A&S come in to replace an older, leaking water heater after it flooded our first floor. They were at our house, with a new replacement heater, on a Friday evening after hours - within two hours. This was our first interaction with them and it was a pleasure. A few months later, we called them again in an emergency type situation, and they made arrangements to come out again - this time for a leak under the slab in the middle of our first floor. The same first floor we just had installed new flooring etc after the water heater flood. Nightmare scenarios were all we could envision. Josh came out and immediately started jackhammering the floor (I had taken up the flooring in the area the leak was) and found the water following the plastic around the leaky pipe within 30 minutes of arriving. Then he found the pinhole itself and had the pipe section out, replaced, and new concrete in with 90 minutes. If we EVER have any type of plumbing issue, A&S is the only number we need.

When it comes to homeownership, my knowledge stops at this: my water bill is too high. How to fix it? No idea. I looked at a number of companies and called around. Sean was quick to come by the house and was so adept at diagnosing the issue. In about ten minutes, he had a plan and a price. Instead of ripping up my sidewalk to access the water line that was leaking (like two other Big name plumbers wanted to do), he suggested moving the valve...thus saving my concrete. His availability was great, and booked me within two days. The best part? His price was extremely competitive! Two other well known plumbers ""couldn't touch"" his price. The day before the job, Sean touched base to confirm times. The day of, he called in the morning to further confirm his time frame. Upon arrival, Sean walked me through the job one last time, to make sure I was aware of what work was being done. His assistant Forrest was there to help, and before I knew it, the line had been dug up. They're fast! My boyfriend house sat while I was at work, and he was equally impressed. By 4pm, the job was complete. I came home to a clean house and a non-leaky water line. Sean was even kind enough to come out the day previous to watch my water meter behavior, and he caught that my meter was malfunctioning. The entire job, he was great to explain what was going on, why, and how he planned to repair it safely.

Sean obviously has a lot of care for his clients and pride in his business. I was so impressed with his knowledge, expertise, and professionalism. He strives to take care of his clients from beginning to end, and the quality of his work shows. As a family owned business, his marketing is through word of mouth, so go with this locally owned business than a franchise! Sean won't steer you wrong.
