UV trenchless technology is a modern technique for repairing sewer lines without traditional digging.

In this process, a resin-saturated liner is placed inside the damaged pipe through a pre-existing entry, like a manhole. After the liner is set, ultraviolet lamps are set along the full length of the liner. The ultraviolet lamps generate high-intensity ultraviolet radiation that reacts with a specific catalyst in the resin.

As the UV lights activate, the resin hardens rapidly within a few moments, establishing a new lining inside the damaged pipe. The resin adheres swiftly to the sides of the damaged pipe, creating a seamless, jointless, and structurally sound lining.

The UV curing process provides several advantages for trenchless repairs:

1. Speedy and efficient: The UV curing process is rapid, requiring minimal time, depending on the pipe's length and conditions. This allows for fast repairs and reduced interference to the nearby environment.

2. Durable and long-lasting solution: The cured resin creates a robust lining that can increase the longevity of the pipe by several decades. The lining is resistant to issues like corrosion, cracking, root invasion, and chemical damage.

3. Little to no digging needed: Because this method is trenchless, it requires little or no excavation, lessening the need for disruptive digging.
