If you have a minor plumbing problem, Matt is pleasant by all accounts and does his best. This is why we give Artisan 2 stars and not one. He looked down our clogged shower drain, determined that it was a big job, and said Reid would come give an estimate. However, Reid never called, never came, and relayed the message that his company is too small to undertake a major job. He did waive the $96 service charge. We were forced to use another company. It turned out to be nothing but a stopped up drain. Had Matt simply snaked it, the problem would have been solved.

I will try to make this brief, but I have to share my horrific experience with Old Republic Home Protection. I also want to give a GREAT BIG POSITIVE shout out to Reid Gabrielson at Artisan Plumbing! If you have a plumbing problem in the Fort Walton Beach area, call ARTISAN PLUMBING at 850-244-4414 I have been a fan of Old Republic for many years, but I have had to work through challenges when they denied customers coverage. They always come through in the end, but it took my intervention. However, they let me down big time, this time. I am just glad it was me and not a customer. I bought a townhome in Fort Walton in April. The renter who has been there for 2 years called me saying the hot water handle was leaking in the shower. At the time of purchase, I had ordered a basic $460 protection plan from ORHP. They sent a plumber out the day after I called. He was very polite but could not get the valve out. In the process, he broke the value at the stem base, caused a water stain on my ceiling below (which was not there when he arrived) and broke the water at the meter (which I did not know until he left.) In summary: The plumber left (with the water still leaking at the valve, damaging my ceiling and at the meter) telling me they would have to remove the entire tub 'for access' to replace the valve. The tub backed to an external wall that was vinyl and I asked why they couldn't go in from the outside? He said that would be too dangerous for him. Then, later in the day, Old Republic called me and said as soon as I could either remove the tub or cut a hole in the side of my townhome 'FOR ACCESS' they would send the plumber back out. I asked if they had a plumber that could create 'the access' for me and I would pay them...but they didn't have anyone. I even called a handyman to do it, but they couldn't do it fast...Then, I called ARTISAN PLUMBING. Reid (the owner) came by at the end of his already long day (5:30 last night) and it took two hours of careful sawing and cutting, but he got the old stem removed and installed a new valve stem! All for $198. AWESOME!!! Had I called Artisan Plumbing first I likely would not be stuck with a damaged ceiling and broken meter pipe. The first plumber likely did not take the precautions needed and he broke the stem at the base. He also did not tell me the meter line was also broken. He just left and left me hanging. Old Republic left me hanging, turning the entire burden to me to try and create 'access' because their lame plumber didn't have the knowledge or tools to do the job properly. They added insult to injury by telling me they had NO PLUMBERS who could help 'provide access' even if I paid for it. CRAZY! Now I am left with additional expenses to fix a water damaged ceiling too. Thanks to Reid at Artisan plumbing, the problem is fixed and my sweet renter didn't have to take a single cold shower...now to fix the ceiling. UGH. Thanks for nothing' Old Republic Home Protection.' I will only say their name sarcastically in the future. I know to call Artisan Plumbing FIRST the next time.....

Called to get a price on gas plumbing and got a response from person that was so indifferent not sure I'd call back. Not to mention that I had called previously and talk to the owner who was going to call me Back and never did not too impressed with their service Maybe they are fair with their prices and experience but not with customer service

Reid knows what he's doing and gets the job done in a timely manner. Would highly recommend for any big or small plumbing jobs! He did an awesome job on my kitchen remodel having to dig a trench in my kitchen floor to re-route water to an island and added a box with a shut off behind the fridge for the ice-maker. Did not overcharge!

Big thank you to Reid and everyone at Artisan Plumbing! Reid showed up after hours to take care of our two toilets that have been broken for over a week because our property manager, ERA Realty in Shalimar, had failed to do their job in a timely matter. Artisan Plumbing realizes how important their customers are and will try everything they can to get that job accomplished ASAP! To facilitate getting the job completed quickly, Reid contacted my husband and requested pictures of the parts and pieces that needed repair so he can purchase them before arriving! My family and I cannot thank Reid and Artisan Plumbing enough!

My experience with Reid and his team of plumbers @ Artisan is ongoing and excellent. When I moved into my home, found a longtime leaking hot water heater (which the home inspector did not find). Matt @ Artisan replaced hot water heater same day. Then learned """"laundry room"""" was too small for a normal size washer & dryer, so hired Reid to replumb garage for washer & dryer. He took care to remove as little drywall as possible to get to pipes, and also installed a useful utility sink. For as long as I have this house Artisan will be my plumber.
