I to have used Art of Plumbing in the past , but will not anymore .
They billed us $1,125 to install 4 faucets, 1 garbage disposal , soap
dispenser and air switch . They charged $875.00 LABOR and another $250 for materials that they would not list when asked for an itemized bill . Billing and emails attached . It appears since they do not bill for time, or service call but by the job per Tim (who did not identify his position in the company) !! That means to me they pull a number out for you to pay and that's it.

They also do not put any dates of service on billing as you can see, they were here 3 different days over approximate 4 week period .

I did not need to call Andrew he called me at 5 pm Wednesday November 30th yelling so told him not to contact us again . He did !! This time by text at 5:07 pm telling us he bent over backwards for us, but I think we were the ones that were bent over!!
There's always the State of Oregon Contractor's Board who can over see any problems if needed just call them .

save yourself a major headache...worse plumber ive ever dealt with. staff is rude, they dont know what they are doing, and the guy is a real jerk. their drainpipe they installed is leaking. i can smell the raw sewage....they refused to check it and refuse to fix it after being paid over 5 grand! im so disgusted. they refuse to give me the contractors license. filed a bbb complaint and they still will not back up their work. Tomatoes are growing out of the Trench they left END OF MAY and its now SEPT...The neighbors didnt start eating tomatoes from their garden till 2 months after the drainpipe installed, then the IDIOT poured CONCRETE over the pipe BEFORE CHECKING IT and its LEAKING. I CAN SMELL THE RAW SEWAGE and they REFUSE TO COME BACK... Owner is a REAL JERK. VERY DISORGANIZED STAFF....

Needless to say, the guy started RIPPING AND TEARING out Plants, dug a GIANT trench in my driveway and NEVER asked ME the PROPERTY OWNER BEFORE HAND....THEY NEVER HAD PERMISSION TO DESTROY MY PROPERTY

the worse plumber in all of oregon

do not reccomend

The final service was satisfactory, but the prices seemed extremely high. In addition, you have to pay at time of service (which is fine), but they don't send you an invoice until days later and the invoice does not break down any of the pricing, just has one line item with the total price. This seems a little shady to me. The first day was a $500 bill to tell me that a piece needed to be replaced in the front yard. This was after he left for awhile and came back with somebody else, time that I believe I was charged for but since there is no itemized invoice its hard to tell. This price did not include any digging of the lawn to get to the pipe system, I had to dig it myself. This was on a Friday. They then did not schedule another appointment until I called them on Monday to schedule it. If you need something fixed, they should fit you in automatically for a second appointment then you can change it if it is not convenient. I will definitely never use this company again. There is probably a reason that this company does not have an accreditation at of the Better Business Bureau. I should also add that as they were replacing the first part in the lawn, they cracked another part of the pipe and I had to pay for that to be fixed... even though they even admitted that it was not leaking before they started the work.

I called Art of Plumbing on a Saturday morning with a leak which required that my water service is shut off. The guy I talked to said that he would be able to get to my job by that afternoon. I called and left a message at 2:00 pm to determine if it was going to be possible to get to my job that day. I received a call at 7:00 pm that night apologizing for not getting to my place and he made a commitment to be at my place shortly after 9:00 am on Sunday.
On Sunday I waited until 11:00 am and called his number he had called me from the previous evening. No answer; I left a message. This company has not called me back to acknowledge their failure to even show up.
These guys are not representive of what the plumbing trade is about.

I had used this company's service once before and the plumber was polite & knew what to do, he did it and the work was quick & has worked well for several years.

Now, not so on the most recent request, to have a leaking outside faucet repaired. This time a grumpy older heavyset man named William was sent out, quite a been late for the appointment. He took the faucet apart and said it didn' t have the right parts, and or they were worn out. I told him that Grovers sold me a repair kit, that was probably wrong, but it worked to shut off the water flow, except for a little drip. Now his reply
was ""Well, the only solution was to replace the whole Bibb unit and was going to cost me $140.00. I asked if he could get the correct parts from his warehouse, he said they didn't carry those parts. When I made the appointment, the desk person assured me that they carried all those parts, so no problem. William said didn't carry those parts but that could install the new unit for $140.00. I explained that I had just had my third cancer operation and all the medical bills had just about broke me. From that forward, he became a little terse but said he would try to find a part somewhere. He & his assistant left and were gone between 3/4 of an hour and an hour. He said no one carried the repair parts. He said that he would put it back together but with a grumbling, he said there was a part, the BFP assembly was stuck in the hydrant and no way to get it out, sorry. I asked if the end washer was stuck with the spring, to which he answered yes and there was no way to get out. I told William to have his assistant turn the water back on and the pressure should blow the washer & spring out. I think it upset him because my suggest worked so well, from that point on, he seemed to become a little more agitated.
I went into my house and explained to my wife what was going on.
She was upset and asked me to watch him. He had screwed a hose we had and said that was the best he could do, no warranty or guarantees.
So now it's worse than when he arrived, the faucet is on and can't be shut it off, the hose is a flex hose under pressure 24hours(all the time)
So I am in a much worse situation than I was before William came out and it only cost us, $139.00 to make it worse, such a deal!!!

sorry to say that first... they do not give you an invoice or receipt at the end of the job while there. But just tell you how much you owe and expect a check for payment. Then when your invoice arrives via e-mail, there's No Breakdown of the cost between parts and labor. How unprofessional. Not happy. Have to move on and try another that we hope to more upstanding with integrity.

I had a pipe break in my back yard that was causing major flooding in not only my yard but in my neighbors yard too. I called Friday, after 5 pm and from the time I called to the time William got here was less than 15 minutes! He checked everything out and got right to work. He even turned my water back on when he was done, checked my water in the house and went back to make sure there was no further leaking from the pipe. William informed me of what happened and how i can possibly prevent further issues. Very nice gentleman and great, fast service! Thank you William for coming out and dealing with this problem after a long day!
