Your "" goal is to deliver exceptional service during every visit""...yet you can't even pick up the phone to call me back, I have to take more time away from my job and family to call you all back and sit on hold and be given some excuse as to why your employees can't call or make a service appointment??? You all are FALLING WAY SHORT of this goal. It is actually embarrassing how little you all seem to care for customers, I can only imagine the 'quality' installation service I would receive if I cannot even get a return phone call. Lowes should drop you all immediately for being their installation contractor.

Maybe we are just the unlucky ones with ARS. They installed our carrier unit less than 2 years ago. Their installation caused 2 different gas leaks in my home that required us to evacuate. Currently, we are dealing with our first issue with our carrier unit post gas leaks. The OST sensor failed. On 6/27/2025, an ARS technician replaced the OST sensor and as he was replacing the OST sensor, the ODT sensor ""came off"". The tech took the ODT sensor with him. He claimed to have ordered a new ODT sensor on 6/27. We had a different ARS tech come the following day (6/28/2025). He said that there was nothing he could do since the prior tech took the old ODT sensor. No one can find this first tech who has our ODT sensor. We found out today (6/30/2025) that the ODT sensor was in fact NOT ordered on 6/27, but was just ordered today. As a result, we have been without air conditioning for 4 days now, with in-the-house-temps at 86 degrees. ARS tells us today that the sensor may not come in until Thursday. The air conditioning worked (not perfectly, but did cool the house) prior to the tech taking our ODT sensor. We have unsuccessfully tried several times today to get a manager to call us. ARS is clearly violating their Exceptional Service Guarantee. I would give ARS a zero rating if that was possible. I would highly recommend you choose another service provider.

i have a duel-zone HVAC system that was installed by ARS back in 2014 (through Home Depot promotion). My upstairs system, a 2-ton system failed one evening. Fan was working, air was warm and when I looked outside at the coil/condenser it was not on (fan wasn't spinning). I called ARS and they sent out a tech...he spend 20 minutes outside at the unit and comes in and tells me it's a $4000 fix...doom and gloom, I need a whole new system. He gives me a list of problems. They schedule a sales person to come in...he gives me multiple options ranging from $9K to $18K. I then call in another company (I'll hammer them in a separate review...but another big NoVA big name company) to get a second opinion....that company says basically the same thing...$3600...doom and gloom...you need a new system. So...I hit my network and get a recommendation for an independent HVAC guy. He shows up, I tell him the story...and he goes to the outside unit. He's outside for 10 minutes, comes in and says ""you need a new capacitor and your coolant topped off...$300."" I say ""Yes! Do it"" and he tells me it's already done. I go upstairs, AC blowing cold. He makes two recommendations: 1. trim the hedges around the units back and create more space and 2. clean the coils on both outside units. He went into the attic...checked my system at that point and came down and said ""Your HVAC and furnace are fine."" He says hey, they're a bit older and not the most efficient units out there but you don't need to replace them. He got the coil cleaning job, and my business for as long as he's doing this.

Service is absolutely terrible. My parents are 80 and their a/c went out. They were around 4 hours or more late to assess the situation then it took a few days for the part. They gave them a 4 hour window for the repairman to arrive. Nothing. Called to check status and was told they'd call back. Nothing. Called again and it took them 10 minutes just to find their account, put me on hold to check with dispatch and after 5 minutes or so got disconnected. Called back again, once again too awhile to find account. Put on hold again to check with dispatch for 3rd time. On hold for about 5 minutes. Girl came back on this time and said she can't get a hold of any of the 4 or so people she called in dispatch so she put in an ""escalation"" ticket so they'd know to call us back. She said they'll be there at some point. Dad called corporate; they told the branch to fix it. They said they'd be out today. Showed up but the part was defective. Went to the supplier only to find out the entire box won parts was defective. Told them it would be another 3-5 days. Dad called corporate again. They told branch to get the part elsewhere and get it fixed immediately. NEVER USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN NOR RECOMMENDING THEM. Communication sucks, scheduling sucks, timeliness sucks. They need project managers to whip that place in shape.

ARS of Manassas was a recommended installer through Lowe's for replacing an electric water heater. Dillion was the lead technician who came out to assess my situation and provide a quote. It just so happens I also needed my shutoff valve replaced. He was very prompt and professional. The price was higher than I wanted but the average cost for my area. The work was done quickly, and I have not had any issues. I would consider ARS for future plumbing repairs.

When Nick arrived, my AC unit was off due to the pleasant weather. He asked for permission to turn it on to conduct the inspection, which I granted, and he assured me he would turn it off before leaving. During the service, Nick identified a melted disconnect box in the attic and some bacterial growth. He quoted me $688 for a disconnect box replacement and an additional $1799 for an air scrubber, suggesting I could finance the total cost through a Lowe's account.

Unfortunately, Nick left without turning off my AC unit as promised. Subsequently, I filed a claim with my home warranty company and only paid a $75 service fee to have the disconnect box replaced, which the electrician informed me was only a $20 part. The electrician was also quite concerned to find that I had not been advised to turn off the breaker to the AC unit, as there were two inches of exposed wire, posing a significant fire hazard in my home.

While I appreciate Nick's customer service, the failure to turn off the AC unit and the lack of guidance regarding the exposed wiring are concerning.

I looked up air scrubber cost online and they cost about $600 for a high end one.

Please do you resource before making an impulse decision.

I had an appointment for them to come out between two and six. They did not show up and did not call. I called them and they were going to show up the next day between two and six. They did not show up and they did not call. They stood me up two times, and called me on the third day finally and asked if I still needed service. Do not recommend this business at all.

Bottom line: stay away from this company. They put in a new water heater and had to return a week later because of leaking water due to improper installation. Later, when the house had a pressure issue, I had hundreds of dollars in wall damage because it was found that the water heater drain hadn't been installed properly. Recently, there was a loud humming noise from the hot water pipe coming out of the heater that was vibrating. Over the course of 3 weeks, it took 6 visits from 4 different techs before I gave up on them. Meanwhile, they charged me hundreds for replacing parts that never needed to be replaced. I called another company who had the issue fixed in the first 15 minutes. Their mistakes have cost me over a thousand dollars. I won't make the mistake of calling on them again.

Great service from ARS of Manassas. We had trouble with our system, and they were able to send someone over the same day. Antoine Jones came out and did a great job fixing it for us.

He was friendly, and ready to answer any questions I had. He was quick, and on time. He was thorough in explaining what the problem was, and how we could fix the problem for the long term.

He came prepared, and we were able to get everything up and running quickly. As well as install a new filter system. Very pleasant person to work with.

Our yearly membership has been well worth the money.
