Please DO NOT use these people for anything! They charge all the money and lie about the service work. I Called them up about the maintenance service that I paid for and the "customer service" which is a joke argued with me! Gracie told me the truth about what was supposed to be done but the idiot she transferred me to tried to finesse it, girl please; she was more worried about being respected! B***** please! You disrespected me when you cheated me out of maintenance service and now I'm spending more money cause of you idiots! Do not use ARS the suck!

I purchased the top of the line Furnace from ARS yesterday. It was installed today.
My 18 year old gas furnace was showing signs of rusting and pitting, which can lead to
carbon monoxide poisoning. Not Good! So I "bit the bullet" and Aqculino and Daniel came out to do the replacement. What a TEAM! I wish I could also have selected Daniel from the ARS "pick list" of professionals, but his name wasn't listed! Anyway, my new Carrier Furnace has variable heating, so that it "steps up and down" the gas, making it "Energy Star" efficient!
Also, my old grate in the hallway was replaced with a beautiful new one, and the vent on top of the roof looks great! Not to mention, they had to remove the old "decking" that the other one was seated upon and custom built me a new one, at the proper height for my "bigger unit".
This unit has a HUGE 5" THICK AIR FILTER! Unlike my 1" 3 month air filter's that didn't do that great of a job. This one needs replacement once every 6 months. SAWEET!
Anyway, because it has a Larger Air Intake than my old one, the house cooled down SUPER FAST, when they "flipped the switch". I could tell the difference immediately! I LOVE MY NEW FURNACE! Plus, when I replace my A/C unit again (recently done too, by ARS). I can upgrade to a Top of the Line, Energy Star Efficient one, because THIS A/C can handle it!
I HIGHLY recommend ARS. I have used them 4EVER, I have their plumbing, electrical and A/C/Furnace Maintenance Plans. I save on Parts AND Labor. Plus, they stand behind their products and service. What I like most about them, is that they fix the problem first time around. No surprises after they leave! I can't say enough good things about them. There is a reason they have and Keep their excellent reputation. Thanks AGAIN, ARS! You guys definitely get a THUMBS UP from me. - Carolyn C-A

This is truly the most unprofessional and incompetent companies I have ever dealt with! The lack of work ethics and work detail is horrifying! It is good that this 90 yr old woman has children that can check on this work, otherwise she would have been completely screwed by this company! It is absolutely shameful and probably illegal (by plumbing codes) of what they left my mother with! A 4 day job turned into almost 2 months! Each plumber has NO responsibility of the other and NO managers take responsibility. It is an entire company of incompetent individuals. The internal company culture of this organization is horrifying. Each blames one another for their incompetent work. The company should be put out of business.

What is the most concerning now, is that after seeing such incompetent work, how many problems we are going to have in the future and then having to deal with this company and its incompetent plumbers in the future. This is a real nightmare.

I wouldn't want anyone to experience this in their home. I feel sorry for senior citizens that use this company (like my mom) and do not have a support system to call about all the problems this company brings upon them. Its truly despicable.

BEWARE of ARS!!!

I returned from a trip and found my bathroom sink full of water overflowing onto the bathroom floor in the master bathroom upstairs. I called ARS as it was a Sunday. The 1st technician that arrived (between 9:00 a.m. and 1 p.m.) told me that he was rather new to the company and that he was not a drain specialist. ARS apparently has specialist for each type of problem. He indicated the AC condensation line was clogged and the water backed up into the bathroom sink. The ARS technician did not have a rooter line on the truck with him because he was not a drain specialist and ARS did not equipped him with a line as he was not considered a drain specialist. Therefore, the ARS technician used my line to snake line the bathroom sink. While using the snake on the sink, the blockage pushed water towards the master bathtub. I was standing there and I told him that the water was now coming up into the tub. At such time, the technician disconnected the tub and used the drain line on the tub. After he began to rooter the tub drain line, water began to come down into my kitchen area. He came downstairs and he cut two holes into the sheet rock of the ceiling to let the water drain and he said to avoid mild-dew .

Also, the first technician then told me that he needed to call a second technician who would be indeed be a drain technician. I waited with buckets and towels in my kitchen area from the clogged bathroom sink above.

The second technician arrived within the new window of time (3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). The second technician reconnected the tub drain and it appears that the 1st technicians' work had indeed contributed to the damage in the downstairs unnecessarily in my kitchen. The water had not come down into the kitchen until the 1st technician began to rooter the tub drain line.

The repair cost to my home is extensive. ARS has claimed that neither of the two technicians were responsible to the extensive damage occuring when the 1st technician improperly disconnected the drain and snaked the tub drain line. The 1st technician should have called the drain specialist in the first place if he was not train properly in this area!!!

I have not requested 100% payment from ARS. A partial assistance would have indicated good intentions. I requested a partial coverage to the damage caused by their 1st technician who arrived at my house. ARS has refused to take any responsibility and Ms. Jeannette Bell has indicated that ARS was not in anyway responsible for the damage to the downstairs ceiling of my home. Ms. Jeannette Bell told me that she has me on a recorded line stating that I said that water was coming through my ceiling. I have requested the voice recordings from Ms. Bell. I explained to Ms. Bell that I spoke to ARS call center more than once. The second time that I called them to find out about the second technician that water was coming through the ceiling. Ms. Bell said she had me several times that she has me on a recorded line stating that water was coming through my ceiling. Therefor, I have ask Ms. Bell to send all recordings because I know the second call the water was coming through my ceiling.

In addition to the above, Ms. Jeranette Bell from ARS told me that I was "threatening" to her when I indicated that I may file a complaint with the BBB regarding this matter. Ms. Bell told me that I was threatening and that I was on a recorded line. Ms. Bell suggested that it would not be a good idea for me to do that and that I was one that "threatening" Ms. Bell's voice was became harsh and her tone was not professional when she began to say that I was the one threatening. It was SAD because I respectfully requested that she ask the 1st technician again about the situation and for a re-review which she declined.

It appears that the damage to my ceiling happened after the first technciian arrived at my home. I respectfully request a re-review. I am only requesting a partial reimbursement for the damage.

Ms. Bell told me that I needed to file a claim with my insurance company and ARS was not responsible. Ms. Bell would not agree to re-review the situation. Ms. Bell did tell me that she would email all the voice recordings.

Hope this review helps someone.

ARS came out and re examined. No fix. But appreciate attention. Still have issues with the setup. It seems that the pan does not drain effectively and condensate drips off...

I am so disappointed in this company! They sent someone out for service on my AC which was out. The service man went into the attic and outside and after 5 minutes told me I needed $4,000 worth of service. My doorbell camera showed he arrived at 2:53 and was out the door at 3:11. That was him looking at the AC, telling me what I needed, and answering several of my questions, 18 minutes total. He said I needed an evaporator coil because mine was leaking freon and a capacitor. The capacitor (which this "professional" misspelled on the receipt) was only a $341 repair. He didn't offer an alternative and when I said that was the price of a new unit he told me a new unit would be $10,000. That price is not accurate for a unit sufficient for my home size. He charged me a $94.95 service fee which includes an additional charge of $15 that was not disclosed to me when I called.

My 11 year old son and I spent a second night in a home that never cooled off lower than 85 degrees. I called a competing company the next day and they asked how the tech knew there was a leak if the capacitor wasn't functioning. He said there was no way he could get a gauge reading if the capacitor wasn't working. Keep in mind he carried the gauge with him both outside & to the attic. This company could not come out for me that day but advised me even if I decide not to use them I should have another company come out for a second opinion. I found another serviceman and former ARS employee who was able to come out. He replaced the capacitor, checked the freon level (which was fine) and the AC is up and running. This cost me $200.

ARS was perfectly fine with taking a service fee from me and walking out the door. Allowing my son and I to remain in a scolding hot home during the Texas summer heat. All so they could make 11x the amount that was really required to get my AC functioning again. Shame on you ARS!

The technician charged me almost $500 to tell me that my problem was going to cost somewhere between 11,000 and 15,000. He would not give me a copy of the camera view so I could shop the price around. I had to pay an extra $300 to another company to get a camera view. In the end my problem cost $4200 with another company.

Four months later and the replumb job that ARS did now means that our bathroom sinks and commodes are stopped up and won't drain!!! And ARS has the audacity to post their autobot customer service comment on my review! Since the shoddy work and destruction done by ARS, we have had one replumb and other plumbing repairs done to rent houses by another company that charged HALF of what ARS charged us and that company did professional work without additional destruction! Fortunately, I will be calling them to repair the work that ARS supposedly did. I can't give a low enough review for ARS. If anything, charging THEM would be the only option.

If I could select 0 stars, I would. What a scam this company is. They may be fast, but they are also fast to try and take advantage of customers. I called recently about my AC and was told I needed to replace nearly all of my system. Oddly, the same guy came out as to a year prior. Later I learned that's because they are a big sales team - Always Be Closing! Thankfully, before clearing out my family savings I got a second opinion. Only a small part was broken and it was less than 10th the cost. Shame on ARS for taking advantage of customers like this!

Going through my Home Depot recommended seller / installers I purchased 2 complete a/c system 3 years ago from ARS here in Houston and each year I have paid the maintenance fee to have them perform the annual summer / winter services. The salesman that sold me the system told me that as long as I had them do the annual services that I had a lifetime warranty (first mistake believing this). The second year one service tech said the (new) system needed some additional minor service for $200. and I said o.k. after which he had me make the check out to him not ARS (my second mistake). Leading into this year they sold me surge protectors for both units NOW telling me that if the system was damaged by an electrical surge the warranty would not cover it. Why didn't they put this in the original 20K bill? Then a few months ago one of the (communicating) thermostats went out which is not the everyday thermostat. I called and scheduled to have it replaced along with the summer service / check up. The tech arrived for the service but did not have a thermostat and knew nothing about it and could not do the service. When I called in to inquire why,.the dispatcher told me they canceled the t-stat order but no explanation. I placed a second order for the service & t-stat. The service tech arrived and informed me that the thermostat was $460.00 plus labor for running a new wire due to the replacement t-stat requiring 5 wires and the old wiring only had 4. Now my systems have a 10 YEAR WARRANTY including the THERMOSTAT. They have refused to honor the warranty they sold me with the systems. The lady on the order desk verified my warranty and could not understand this. The lady in customer service that told me they would straighten this out and citing they just had a management problem NEVER called me back to correct their failure to honor their product. I would not recommend ARS to anyone, I had recommended them in the first year to 3 friends, one they tried to rip off, one threw the service tech out within minutes and the other said he service was just o.k. You would think that a company with this name would be on top servicing what they sell and CUSTOMER SERVICE. I give them a "0" in the 1 star that must be checked.
