The website says emergency services. Had a problem Sunday evening. I do the online chat ask if they have some one that could come out on a Sunday evening. Online chat ask me name, address, number, email and tells me some one will call me.
Lady calls, I first ask "do y'all have people to come out in a Sunday evening" She states she needs all my info, all the same info I just gave the online chat that had this person call me. At the same time my phone is tell me I have a call coming in from ARS. Really, I don't need 2 of y'all calling. The lady tells me they can have someone out on July 13th, that is 17 days out. I tell her never mind delete all my info.
I called the other ARS number that was calling me to see if I could get better service. I ask this second lady if someone would be able to come out tonight. She tells me they no longer do after hours service calls.
Not sure why they have emergency service on their website.
Run, do not, I mean DO NOT use ARS. We have been using ARS since we moved to Austin over 20 years ago, we had purchased HVAC, furnace, plumbing services from them and the service has gone from great (22 years ago) to absolutely horrible.
We purchased our HVAC from ARS 11 years ago. At that time, they sold us a unit with lifetime limited warranty at an additional cost of $3,000 extra, which stated that as long as we own the unit and stay in the same house and any replacement parts are under warranted for the owner's lifetime, and we pay only the labor cost.
The last couple days, our air conditioner has been running non-stop, so we called ARS to come out and take a look. The service person said it was the recuperative coil and there is a chance it is leaking fluid. His suggestion was to add more fluids, at a quote of $600-$2,000 (because he doesn't know how much it needs), but if there is a leak, we will need to replace the unit. We mentioned the warranty and he said he had never heard of it nor do the office staff have any information. So we showed them the warranty paperwork and they are refusing to honor it. Had we known that they are not good with what they sold, we would not have paid the extra!
We had then called multiple HVAC companies and were told the installation was poorly done and that the unit they sold us were subpar. So much for being a loyal customer for so many years, the company has gone completely downhill.
Tomika T.I only worked with ARS because of home depot purchase of central AC unit. Today I called because I smelled wire burning from the attic area. My husband went to the attic, hear sparks and could see a visible burn mark on the box. The scheduler was rude almost from the beginning of the conversation. The scheduler yelled at me repeatedly stating they can come out July 6 or not at ALL. Now I'm trying to explain to her that I'm afraid of my house burning down because an installer error but she stated to me you don't want me to tell you what you can do. Now in order to be seen as a priority customer I need to pay for this $10 a month plan or $180 plan. And because of the extreme heat and their business schedule (which I understand) I may be seen next day after speaking with the third scheduler. I asked if I had another company come out will I be reimbursed and the answer to that is I'm just the scheduler. I spoke with three different schedule just to get a little help. And I asked for a supervisor and even asked for Rene from Quality to be emailed to contact me. I was told very rudely she will not contact until 3-5 business days. I ask for a manager or supervisor. I was told there is no one for me to speak too.
Ok, the Technician Ricky Rodriguez came over to fix the problem same day after paying the $180 bucks and he is just as rude as the scheduler. My husband was asked Ricky why did we experience the burn out of this item and he looked at my husband then stated I'm not here to argue with you. And I'm not Houdini. I can not answer that for you. These things just happened. Man what a experience I tell from start to finish terrible. I guess asking questions offended him. This has been the most rude and unprofessional experience ever. They charge the $180 twice. I can't believe this. Will this nightmare end? That's $360 for the one year plan that I was told was $180 and of course no one is answering the phone.
I had a A/C unit installed completely new (both ground and attic unit) in 2019 by ARS/Rescue. It did not work in 2020. An ARS tech came to inspect, advising that the whole attic unit was covered by ice, caused by some wire connection not properly, and he corrected it. It could not cool down in 2021 and I did not remember what happened. Then it could not cool down again in May 2022. A tech inspected, saying the attic unit's wire was leaking, needing to be replaced. Also there was water leaking from the ceiling. I saw water dipping from the attic unit. The tech told me he sent the order for coil to the office. I called the office many times, trying to find when the coil could arrive. As of today, June 9, no one from ARS/Resure gives me an answer or response.
Frank F.Definitely recommend this company, on point with explaining in detail, professional and most of all well worth the money spent, and reasonable at that, compared to many plumbing company's that feel they are the only ones out there and charge you an arm and a leg. 100% A-1 experience, again thank you.
Was assigned this company by Lowe's for a water heater install. They de-aired the line improperly causing a burst pipe, which we discovered two days later after water had leaked through the wall and carpet into the master bedroom. Tried to call them, and they said they'd be over right away. No one showed, ended up calling another company to come shut the water off. called them for three days and no one answered. They even blocked my number. I called Lowe's to complain since no other company would touch the water lines for fear of voiding my warranty. Lowe's was unable to get ahold of anyone for several hours. Finally, someone came and said we should have called them at the first sign of problems and denied we had ever contacted them initially. They said the problem wasn't caused by the install (of course they'd deny they caused any damage) and billed us $650 to replace the broken part, but said it couldn't be done until the following day. At this point we had spent 4 days in a hotel due to not having any water in our house. Do not, under any circumstances, use this company. They will screw you over, cause problems, deny accountability, and charge you to fix the damage they caused.
The services was excellent, outstanding, accurate and professional doing his job. Thank you..
Brett T.Service was great, But the cost was $678.00 which included tax. Granted this was a call for A/C repair on Memorial Day. I did expect to pay extra for the service call. But after I looked up the part that was replaced roughly $41.00 from a Lennox dealer I felt that I was taken advantage of. I think that a part mark up of roughly 15 times the cost is outrageous and will never use ARS again.
Bevin C.My disabled dad called to make an appointment because our sink was clogged up. Because we already use another service, I called back to cancel it. Come the next morning, ARS showed up anyway. Because it was a holiday, there was going to be an extra fee. This is also why I wanted to cancel the appointment. I called ARS to let them know about the situation. We settled on letting them look at our sink since they were already there plus they agreed to waive the holiday fee of $89. Because of my dads disability he isn't able to make decisions about these things. I had prior commitments so I had to leave my dad to deal with ARS. When I came back another ARS technician had arrived to assist. Apparently the initial tech needed different equipment. I was informed that they had already obtained the "signature" from my disabled dad for the go ahead on that. The second tech that arrived basically took over the appointment and purposely took advantage of my disabled dad. We didn't even get an itemized receipt so we don't know what we paid for. In the end, they said we needed a specialist because the initial 2 techs couldn't figure it out. I decided to cancel the whole thing because we needed to check with the service that we already use. But it's disgusting that ARS took advantage of a disabled person like they did. I will not be doing business with them again.
