I'm very dissatisfied with this AC unit. I purchased it about three months ago, and it's failed twice already. In addition, I paid about three times what other companies charge because I was promised reliability and good service. The employees are very nice and helpful, and the service is good; however, the unit itself is a rip off especially considering the price. I regret my decision to use ARS.

Overcharged.! Yes I was given an estimate before I agreed but never got a copy of the invoice on each item. Well I was charged 229.00 for a 30 dollar pop up drain item and 180.00 for labor which took no longer than 15 minutes. ( I already had the drain and trapped removed ). The issue is they were called to clear my bathroom drain which they did but the price was 299.00 including labor which was 100.00 more than a competitor .Why did I get charged a full service call for the drain pop up when they were already here for the roto service. 491.00 for at most an hour service. I understand overhead costs but this is unacceptable. Beware of ARS This has nothing to do with the gentleman who performed the work. I would like to dispute this charge but this honest review will be my way of recouping the overcharge.

Horrible customer service. ARS Myrtle Beach had a booth set up at the Blue Crab Festival this year. I stopped by and talked to them about doing a service contract and set up an appointment for them to come to my house. All good until they called and told me that they needed to reschedule because they were understaffed. I rescheduled for a different day and they would only give me a 2 hour time frame that they would arrive. I had to take off work to make the appointment. Waited 2 hours and NO SHOW! I called customer service and was explained what happened, no apologies no nothing, not even an excuse as to why it happened or how they were going to make it right. I asked them to have a manager call me and that was over a week ago. I would not recommend using them unless you just want to waste time. They should have saved their money on participating in the Blue Crab Festival if they weren't going to accommodate the appointments they set up.

I should have know by the obnoxious TV commercials and that ridiculous 'jingle' that this place was a joke! But I read the reviews and thought I would give them a shot. Made an AC repair appointment with """"Courtney"""" for 1pm. Left work early...busted my butt to drive 1 1/2 hours to be at home by 1:00. Now 5 hours later...I'm sitting in a home in 97 degree heat and not a single representative from ARS in sight!

Suppose to work on toilet. Said they would be here between 8-12. Said they would call 45 minutes before they came. I called at 11:45 to see if they were coming. I was told they had no way to contact the plumber. I called back at 2:10 pm and she said she would check and get right back to me. It's after 3 and no phone call.

We recently had an ARS service call from Wendell. As it turned out we needed a new compressor and several related parts replaced. All the parts were in stock and Wendell went to get them. When he returned he spent several hours getting our system up and running. It started to pour rain and Wendell put up a tent and finished the job, but didn't leave until 9 pm. We have had a service contract with ARS for over 9 years and our service calls were always prompt and for the most part satisfactory. This call however, was special as no employee of ARS was as knowledgeable and thorough as Wendell. He took ARS service standards to a level excellence, we had not witnessed before. My wife and I will always request Wendell for our service because we know it will be exceptional.

Never ever, under any circumstances use the Rip Off artists at ARS Rescue Rooter. I would give a zero if I could. Last week they came out when the sewage was backing up into our home and did $ 1000 worth of sub standard work that was not needed and didn't fix the problem. When problem continued and sewage backed up again they put a camera down for another 600 whether it helped or not and told me I had a problem with my main sewer line dipping down between the house and the sewer tap. They were going to do another $5500 (replacing the main sewer line )worth of work that wasn't needed, telling me that was the only way to fix the problem. That's when I got a second opinion. Would have been more than $7000 in without a fix because the problem was in the city sewer line. After a week of not being able to shower or flush, and raw sewage coming into our home, All it cost was a service call fee to a reputable small business plumber who quickly recognized that this was a problem not with our plumbing but in the city sewage line. He called the city of Conway and they quickly repaired the problem for nothing! Btw when I called and told ARS that two other plumbers and one building inspector saw the work and that all I wanted was my $1600 back and we could all go about our business, they didn't even take that opportunity to make it right. Instead they argued that I needed to send them pictures and bills from the other plumber. How bad at customer service can you be. Ask ARS . I don't even like on line reviews as I often feel that only angry people post. In this case they pushed me to it and they deserve all of the fallout from conducting business in this manner! Stay Away!

Amanda was really helpful and had John to our house in a couple of hours. He spent a good amount of time researching and diagnosing the problem and came back with a few options for me. Very very honest and the price was extremely fair. Amanda had him installing the new equipment the next morning. John was on time, clean and honest. Good guy and I will def use again but I hope not have a problem any time soon! hahahahaha

Nicole, James and Jacob are a great team, and can't recommend them highly enough. We had just bought a house and moved in and were having problems with the heat pump and plumbing.
