A/C was blowing warm air so I called for their $59 check up. Said my Thermostat wire was bad, estimated it would take 2 men 8 hours to replace for $800. Called an electrician friend who helped me replace it in an hour and a half. If it took an amateur and a professional less than 2 hours, why would it take 2 professionals 8 hours? Oh, and that wasn't even the problem! Rip Off!!

This place is a rip-off. The technician tried to charge me $359.00 for just a capacitor. I had the capacitor replaced 9 years ago and the capacitor was $39 with a reasonable markup and the guy charged me $110.00 total. The technician was arrogant even before he arrived. More so afterwards as I told him that was outrageous. He said fine, I will pull that f'n thing out and you will sit here without any a/c. I said fine, get it and get out of here with that BS. I called another contractor and they explained the price was $145.00 for the capacitor, service call, and freon. Do not use this company I wrote a more detailed review on their page. Scammers!

I was surprised that ARS only had 2 stars. I should of checked it out before I hired them. Only problem I found was with the salesman and his many phone calls to his boss to get a price. The unit has not saved me any money on my electric bill but it is new unit. I hope it will last as long as the original one. After checking again Rheem is not a very good heat pump. It breaks down a lot according to Consumers Report. I am stuck with it so I hope it holds up without any major costs.

ars was ok with me until it was time for my free check up that they honor after getting a new system installed over $6000 spent and these people refuse to come out and do these free check up i've called and made appointments one time they didn't show up the rest of the time they call and cancelled on me after making an appointment they play games after they get your money your nothing to them i had my ac unit going on a year and still didn't get 1 of the free check up they told me i would get in the first 3 months i guess i won't be getting a check up i left work early at times to be home just for them to call and cancel saying we made a mistake we don't have to come to your town today so it has to be convenient for them to come out (not well we are a honest business and thats what we offer to all of our customers so we will take care of all our customers even if it means going) that extra mile thats the problem i can't get my check up until they get a big job in my area what a joke a big company like this shouldn't be so petty i will pay for your gas mileage just come honor your 2 free check up

This company has refused to stop their telemarketing calls after being notified multiple times, reporting them to the donotcall.gov site, posting complaint on their Facebook page. I've now reported them for harassment. Do yourself a favor and run from this company

ARS was subcontracted by Home Depot to remove the plumbing beneath the sink when we had new granite countertops installed. It was bad enough that they charged $275 just to disconnect and reinstall the plumbing with a new garbage disposal, but after the plumber arrived, he said that the outlet on the disposal was slightly lower than where the drain pipe entered the back wall, so he could not install it. To make matters even worse, they charged me an ADDITIONAL $200 to reinstall the plumbing WITHOUT a new disposal, even though it was their fault. To make a long story short, I (though not a plumber) bought a disposal that I installed myself and it works fine. I raised cane with Home Depot and they are at least crediting us $300 toward installation of backsplashes. Shame they had to compensate for ARS's screwup!! Stay away from these guys!

This company is the biggest rip-off. They don't charge by the hour for labor. They prorate the job according to the part they are replacing. My blower motor died and the part was under warranty as the unit was only 4 years old. They charged me $400 and it took less than 40 minutes to replace the part. I called to dispute the charges and they told me they had already discounted the job by $150. All kinds of overhead they claimed: Shipping of the part to their warehouse and having to ship the defective part back, pay the technician etc. Totally ridiculous! Wouldn't even reduce the charges by $30! Talked to a few neighbors and they all said the same thing. ARS is a big rip-off. Never again will I use ARS!

My wife and I are very angry with this company. Again we had a seasonal check and were price gouged for $199.00 for a $30 compressor part. Also the service tech. from the last seasonal check left duct work disconnected in our house attic. I have been wondering why we have been seeing more dust in the house, and now I know. My advice is look elsewhere if you need an A/C company.

Very poor unknowable from estimating to installation. Bought furnace out 6 times not installed right sharp edges can't close doors Leakes air clogs system does not drain. Runs all summer trying to cool house runs all winter trying to heat house still have problems they won't fix. Bought water heater one month later floor gave way they won't fix installer new it was bad old tank leak rotted flooring but new tank right on it. Tried to sell me new commodes sink plumbing and pipes under house I was really suckered by them. Don't be the next victims please beware and after erasure very overpriced oh and one serviceman destroyed 4 of my pinning and just left. What a bunch of no nothing clowns. Also I was supposed to get a air cleaning system well the estimater was so unknowable he did not know it would not work with my system so I got a air cleaner light bulb instead. Bunch of clowns all of them!!

I'm very dissatisfied with this AC unit. I purchased it about three months ago, and it's failed twice already. In addition, I paid about three times what other companies charge because I was promised reliability and good service. The employees are very nice and helpful, and the service is good; however, the unit itself is a rip off especially considering the price. I regret my decision to use ARS.
