Well where do I start. My dad purchased a carrier unit from them in a part of the house that rarely gets used to help the ac downstairs. Well they came were good, did what they needed to do. A few months later I meet my fiancé and he works in the ac industry. He proceeded to tell me that the unit they put in was a 120,000 and for the room size should have been a 2 ton unit. So my dad spent thousands to get this thing installed with them, and now we are stuck with a unit that doesn't thoroughly cool the room. Another problem with it is it was low on refrigerant a year later, well their mistake for having a leak in the system. The next thing about the system is they didn't even hook it up fully so the button on the unit was non functioning, and another problem is they sold my dad a system which was too old to be sold for. Once a unit gets so old, they aren't to be sold, only can be given away. They also lied on the receipt that my unit was installed in January, when it was installed in April to make that window of it being able to be sold. Now let's talk about some jacked up work here. And the warranty that comes with carrier, they didn't load up the warranty. So there is no warranty through carrier just what my dad paid ars for which is a joke. Warning these are con men. My fiancé will forever have my ac installation needs because I know he isn't trying to rip me off.

My husband set up installation of a kitchen faucet, disposal, and hot water tap through Home Depot who contracted the work out to ARS. The PO was clear that this was not a routine install and would require extra work. My appointment was between 8-12 on a Friday. By 11a I had not heard anything so I called. They told me it would be between 3-4p. At 345p I called and they did now have a time the plumber would be coming. He arrived at 445p and did not have all the required materials and even had to FaceTime with my husband to figure some things out. He did not finish until 1045p and then I was charged a fee on top of the already paid PO that included all the quoted materials and labor. My whole day was wasted (and I flew into town for this installation as we are renovating from out of state). Would not recommend or use them again.

They hid my review on facebook.. so I'm going to continue to post my experience to every media. Updates: Install start 6/21/17 with constant issues. 6/26 the supposed finished but condenser still failed to work properly after 3 visits. Continued issues still ongoing.. 7/7/2016. Bathroom was never connected to AC supply line. Air handler / condenser freeon line freezes up. The story: Person sent for installation refused to listen. They cut holes in walls that weren't required due to being able to remove sheetrock. Proceeded to tell me that they required cutting holes for the new duct work because they could not remove the old ducts due to sprayed insulation. (False) Tech cut holes in the floor wherever he wanted at first without asking approval of position. Installed new air supplys to each of the new holes and refused to listen on the screw size and how the duct should sit in the hole. My vents now have scratches on them due to said screw size. Two of the air supplies do not even work because of the way they routed the air supplies from the metal box they created for duct work. The install person then proceeded to tell me he has to install a fan to push the air to those two ducts and I'll have to get a quote and pay for that as well. (Air flow possible before and not furthest ducts from air handler) Quote from the company was incredibly high compared to actual material cost / labor required. Current status.. 2.5 ton 15 seer handler w/ heat pump and condenser that is extremely loud when on (air handler has a sucking air noise), makeshift duct work that I personally could have done better on (actually tied up per code now), air supplies that could be acquired at lowes still not properly attached at floor holes, extra holes in the floor from previous ducts, and sheetrock laying against a wall that has been cut. Price: $9000 later.. said energy efficient and quiet system I wouldn't have to worry anything about has become an annoyance. Air professional was polite and stern. Workers weren't worth dealing with. They definitely wont tell you what you need to know about ac units or quoting prices before hand. 15 seer is standard now.. just not enforced. Air handler w/ heat pump and condenser was found online for $2000. R6 air supplys are on lowes for $50 Average cost of supplies for job was around $4000.. labor definitely wasn't $5000. Conclusion: Don't bother with this company.

ARS sent out David J. to help with my AC. David showed up several hours early (ARS called to see if that was ok first) and was one of the most professional people I've ever encountered. Great guy, really knows his stuff. Really went the extra mile to explain different temporary and long term solutions to fit my budget, and didn't try to sell me on anything. Whatever they pay this guy it's not enough!

Have been with ARS for a few years now, the last few technicians have been wonderful. Josh has raised the bar to a whole new level. He was incredible and I will be requesting that he perform my routine system maintenance for as long as he is with ARS

Josh provided fantastic service experience. On time. Knowledgeable. Thorough! Will use them again!

Excellent work, meticulous, timely done. Josh provided detailed explanations and useful information.

One star for ARS, 5 STARS FOR TECHNICIAN, CHUCK NORRIS! Chuck Norris is one of the best technicians we've ever had. After many disappointing visits over the last couple of years with ARS, who installed a new heating and air unit, we were ready to give up and find a new company to maintain our new unit. We decided to try them one more time and we certainly got lucky!! CHUCK NORRIS, yes, his name is Chuck Norris, was the nicest technician we have ever had. He was personable, on time and most important, knowledgeable about his job. He diagnosed the problem immediately and came back on a Friday evening to fix the problem correctly. This was after we had several prior visits with other technicians, a no show visit and a manager who promised to """"make it right"""" and still could not get the problem fixed. We appreciate Chuck's professionalism and hope ARS treats him with the respect he deserves. Thank you Chuck!!!

ARS installed my new ac/heating Carrier unit last spring at a good price and they were able to install outside my working hours so I didn't have to miss work...there was a bump in the road in the beginning of summer, but one of their technicians, Joshua got it all straight.. ARS needs to keep him as I will only let him service my unit...very pleasant, young man that knows his stuff...communicates everything clearly. I recently called ARS for my first of two maintainance services included with a new unit and requested Joshua and they obliged. I will be going with their annual maintainance plan soon as they allow easy monthly installments rather than one big lump sum. They are a 24 x 7 company, and do plumbing as well.

Josh could not have been more knowledgeable about what was going on with my HVAC unit. He spoke with me over the phone since I was at work. He explained precisely what was happening, potential future issues, and a few solution options. He did not once make me feel stupid and was very polite as I interrupted him with questions. I was a customer service manager for many years. People like Josh are few and far between on the front lines with customers because they tend to get promoted quickly. I imagine this will be the case for him. And he deserves it. Kind, Knowledgable, and PATIENT. He is a 10.
