They sent three different crew to open the drain. They ignored our request to snake from the basement toilet. The first crew could not get through a root ball under the basement. The second crew used water blasting and still did get it done. They sent a third person which snaked the drain. We paid nearly $1000.00 and they refused to guarantee their work. Our water heater stopped working on Christmas Eve so I called Lowe's to find out about installation. Lowe's took my info and said the folks who handle the installation would call me back, most likely in a day or two after Christmas. Sounded reasonable to me.

Less than five minutes later, Mario from ARS / Rescue Rooter Cleveland called me. He told me that he could have someone at my house that day between 12pm-3pm for an estimate. I was extremely surprised they had someone available on Christmas Eve but I had a 3.5 hour drive to family for Christmas ahead of me and I had planned to leave earlier. After consulting with my partner, we decided that we could leave later so that ARS could come and give us an estimate.

After accepting the time with Mario, I got an email that said the window of time was 12pm-4pm (instead of the 12pm-3pm he told me on the phone).

When 4pm rolled around, we left. No one came. No once called. And we left hours later than we had planned to and had less time with our family on Christmas with nothing to show for it.

They called twice two days later leaving messages asking if we we still looking for someone to do the install. I will not be calling them back. I reached out to other contractors and found one. We will be paying a different contractor $750 to do the install.

Not a good company. the people came unprepared with the work they supposed to do. they have to go back to their office and get the equipment and still ended up charging me the time they spent getting equipment.
they couldn't fix the issue at all. surprisingly, didn't even knew how to use a simple portable water pump. what a joke.. and they said they will do camera but did not do it and still charged me the fee for the camera.

These folks were professional, prompt, answered questions and cleaned up after themselves. As a disabled person these actions were greatly appreciated. They fixed things right the first time and now a days that is rare.

i called ARS during the last major cold weather with the thoughts that my sump pump discharge under my deck was frozen and my sump pump was not emptying. when they arrived, i was given an estimate for $230 for ""an hour of snaking"". the plumber immediately brought in the discharge pipe which was frozen solid and claimed they were unable to snake anything that was frozen. he then replaced the discharge pipe under the deck (took about 15 minutes) and charged me the $230 even though the snake never left the truck. nevertheless, i paid him what he said was due and assumed my pump was back to normal until the weather warmed up and i could use the old discharge pipe. during the next 2 days, my pump came on and off every 10 seconds or so and water was pouring in the pit. i looked under my deck and the plumber had only put on a 4ft replacement pipe so all the water was running from the pipe right back into the house. i immediately called and they sent out the same plumber that day. when i explained the problem and showed him the standing water under my deck, he ran a 16ft discharge into my yard which solved the problem. i figured everything was ok until he told me his boss was going to be generous and only charge me $150 for the second visit. i absolutely refused to pay this as the second visit was only because they put on a short pipe for the first visit. i asked to speak to the boss and was not able to. unbelieveable! i will never do business with this company again.

Called this place with intentions that they are a honest company. My bathtub was backed up and was leaking. Plumber came to the house told me the price to snake the pipe alone and then told me the price to repair the pop and snake it. When all was said and done he ended up saying that the quote on the snaking and repairing were separate. So I got slammed with high cost.

Although hearing my toilet have a leak in it he decided to repair it free of charge so in all honesty I can be thankful for that. All in all I can say that their services are fair therefore my reasoning for 3/5.
