ARS Rescue are a ripoff. I bought an brand new heating and air system from them in April 2020. I got it serviced every year. Well this year, after paying for the service call, I found out my air is not blowing air. So they tell me that they have to send someone out to diagnose which will be $800. So when they guy come out to diagnose the problem, which took less than 1hour, he tells me it is a coil problem inside the unit and that will be $1900. Mind you, all the money was labor. I have a 10 year warrenty for parts, 1 year labor. Don't buy nothing from them. It is a trap.

ARS continues to be an absolutely horrendous customer service experience. After repeated requests not to call my number again, ARS is now calling me daily. I have told them to stop, and that we will never use their service again, but they simply will not stop calling.

This place calls my cell phone every day!

I was in home Depo and got pulled to sign up for their promotional deal... Okay no problem but when I told them I had to reschedule when they called me to confirm, I would think the receptionist would put the correct time/date to rescheduled but no. Not only did the person show up at the original date/time, but now I get several different people calling to confirm or schedule.

I had to block their number because they call just about everyday now. It's never a good impression if you have to harass people for your services.

And judging from the other reviews, it doesn't appear that you have good service either. Gave two stars for their persistence.

We purchased HVAC unit July 10, 2021. The installation went well. We started having problems with the gas unit in 2022. It is a Carrier unit, and it has been one problem after the next. The technicians need better training or something. It's horrible . We have spent $600 for labor and service fees. I would not recommend this company to walk my dog.

A heat pump I purchased in August 2015 completely stopped working in late April 2022. I called ARS on May 2 because they had installed the heat pump. They sent out ""senior technicians"" who misdiagnosed the problem at least three times and, in between each appointment, I had to wait weeks for parts to come in. Thank goodness the parts were covered under warranty, but unfortunately I did pay for labor.

I waited from May 2 (the first appointment) until August to get my heat pump repaired. The second technician told me I would likely need to replace the entire system and I was devastated! In the end, a third ""senior technician"" was sent out (thank God!) and actually lived up to his title and correctly diagnosed the problem as a bad wire! After the heat pump had been essentially rebuilt with all new parts over the course of months, this technician saved the day and fixed the heat pump in under 2 hours! If he had been sent out first, this would be at least a four star review but instead . . . I suffered through almost the entire summer of not having AC because of the incompetence of the others. And likely a poor installation job led to the bad wire in the first place!

As you can imagine, I would not recommend ARS for service to a heat pump at all (no installation, no repair). Sorry, not sorry!

Challenging week! Had ARS of Laurel come on Wednesday to check A/C unit just for preventive maintenance. All good, have that in writing. Unit stopped cooling on Friday, of course, on the holiday weekend. ARS came out on Sunday, first said capacitor was bad, then it wasn't. then said unit completely out of freon. I asked the tech to have his manager call me, no call. Would cost 1200 to replace freon I lost confidence in the tech's diagnosis, especially since the first tech did not notice low levels of freon. Anyhow, I have a different company putting in freon today, contacted ARS and since I am using a different company to mitigate, they won't do anything. Just beware of using ARS of Laurel. I think it was just a mistake from the first tech that caused a drain of the freon.

I wanted to provide an update, as I believe in being fair and honest in reviews. Robin at ARS contacted me the week after this nightmare occurred, and apologized profusely. She assured me that the customer service reps I spoke with were incorrect and would be corrected accordingly. She also assured me that they stand by their guarantees and went above and beyond to ensure that the situation was corrected, thereby retaining me as a customer. I'm leaving off a star because the incident was still a huge inconvenience, but Robin single-handedly saved her company's reputation in my eyes. She was understanding, professional, and diligent in getting to the bottom of the issue and fixing it. I hope I never have to deal with something like this again, but if I do, I feel better knowing Robin is around to help.

Also Abateneh finally fixed my AC, and our experience with him could not have been better. He worked diligently to fix it and performed several tests to ensure it was done correctly. He even came by early the next morning to ensure it was still working. 10/10 I would ONLY have Abateneh work on my AC if that were an option!

We just spent over $13,000 on a new heat pump for our basement and main floor. This was to replace the heat pump that ARS installed 11 years ago. They did not install an intake vent in the basement 11 years ago, and immediately after the technicians finished installing the new one an alarm went off. The technician returned and informed us that the unit needed a new intake vent in the basement. He checked with his supervisor and told us that it would be installed by ARS at no charge to us, and that we should arrange it through Mike Geary, who sold us the new unit. Weeks later, Geary refuses to acknowledge the problem, blames the technician for telling us what needed to happen, and now says the problem is not the result of not having an intake vent. He would have no way of knowing as he hasn't seen the unit. ARS now wants to charge us to look at the unit to see if it needs an intake vent, and then, of course, would charge us to put it in. Their justification is that the intake vent wasn't in the original contract. The fact that it should have been is apparently of no concern to them. ARS operates in bad faith and rips off its customers.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is hands down the worst company I have ever worked with. We had AC installed in 2020. In 2022 the drainage pipe broke. We had to pay $533 for someone to come for 40 minutes and re-route some PVC pipe into the basement to drain properly. The technician who was here knocked the tube that connects the unit to the vents off. They wanted to charge us another $90 diagnostic fee plus another repair fee to come out and fix WHAT THEY BROKE. This company is god awful. Avoid at all costs. They will screw you over for poor quality work. Find literally anyone else.
