We have a service plan ... which per their advertising gives us priority service. We have just had them miss the 5th attempt to show up during the agreed upon service window. This means we have spent over 23 hours at our house and juggling our schedule waiting for a technician to show up during the scheduled service window. They are very apologetic each time and always offers and excuse but beware, your time is not valued by this organization AT ALL.

Dishonest. Would not recommend. They provided my plumbing service thru my home warranty company American Home Shield (AHS). I would not recommend either company.

Read all the reviews before you purchase from Home Depot and accept installation from this sub-contractor. I had a new water heater installed. I have no complaint about the installation itself other than the fact I was charged $2,250 and the water heater was $728. Supposedly, $250 was an inspection fee charged by Fulton County, but no one from the County has inspected the installation. I told the technician I wanted the $69 additional 3 year labor warranty offered by Home Depot on this unit. When he left, he told me my warranty info was in the packet he left attached to the water heater. I looked through the packet and found nothing from Home Depot. I called ARS to find out what had happened because the gal, from Home Depot, who arranged this installation, told me to call the girls in the ARS office. They, in turn, called the technician (Ed). He called me back and asked why I had not called him directly. Then, he told me it would take ten days for the 3 year additional labor warranty paperwork to be sent to me by Home Depot. But, this has never happened. I have now left two messages with Ed and he had chosen to just ignore my calls. This is an extremely poor way to conduct business. I am shocked that Home Depot is recommending this company after I've read so many horrible reviews and have had my own very disappointing experience with ARS. Please consider all these reviews before you agree to use their services regardless of Home Depot's recommendation.

We've been using ARS for almost 15 years their HVAC servicing has always been very good. Five years ago they replaced the older HVAC with a newer one we purchased through Home Depot. We also use their twice a year checkup & maintenance deal which has been really good. Recently we had to call them out because the new unit wasn't cooling efficiently. Turns out the inner coil was leaking coolant so a new one had to be ordered and installed. Our HVAC was covered under a warranty so we were fortunate not to have to incur the costs for a new coil and the labor. The service tech was Michael Smith he did an awesome job diagnosing the problem, getting the part ordered and installed within two days.

BEWARE! I have an AC unit that is four years old. The unit has been working like a dream. It's been perfect. More than perfect. That is, until ARS came out to do the regular semi-annual maintenance. The technician (MAURICE) did something wrong to my unit, and I'm having unnecessary difficulty getting ARS to even communicate with me about it. The unit was pure perfection up until the technician touched it! Since he left, the AC has not cooled down and it's now hotter inside my house than it is outside my house. The service manager will not call me back. I'm not giving up on this! I'm under warranty anyway! Never, ever use this company unless you want to ruin your unit and spend your time chasing down the service manager. STAY AWAY!

In 2009, we bought our new air conditioning system to replace and upgrade an existing system. We bought our system through Home Depot and used a Home Depot credit card to get NO INTEREST financing, that's where our headaches began. The sales person was more than happy to take our credit card, but did not verify that it was the """"proper"""" home depot credit card. Who knew that Home Depot had multiple credit cards? So of course we found this out after the fact. Home Depot then tried to open an account on the """"proper"""" card, and did not provide enough credit on the card to transfer the balance. At the end of the day, we wound up paying for the system all at once in cash. OUCH Installation was just ok. Not entirely sure the people doing the installation were experienced. Over the next 8 years we continued to keep up the maintenance contract for the twice a year check during spring and fall so we would be sure to have a system during the really cold and really warm seasons. We could get phone calls hounding us to schedule the maintenance until this spring. I called and made an appointment and let's just say this last experience, which was a week ago was the final straw and will force me to take my business else where going forward. The technician showed up and did his """"check"""" and left. By coincidence, my upstairs unit stopped working right after he left. In fairness, I did not notice until later in the day when it was time for bed. I called the next day and received a late day appointment ( so much for that priority service for buying the maintenance plan!) The same technician showed up, and of course, after stewing for a day, I was not a happy camper. Low and behold, the dual compressor had suddenly gone bad. Oh, but it tested just fine 24 hours earlier and then suddenly BAM, it's gone all at once??? This meant I was basically stuck paying to have this fixed unless I wanted to sleep in 85 degrees, again. Although parts are covered for 10 years and we are only 8 years into our warranty, this particular part was not covered (it's only some parts i'm told, not all), so BAM $257 buck out the door. I called and asked to speak to the service manager Multiple time, but he was a very busy guy and never around and either didn't receive my messages or chose not to return my calls. at the end of the day, steer clear of the person at HOME DEPOT that chases you down to sell these services and if you are looking for someone to do maintenance, don't bother with these folks!

ARS was sent to our home as a sub contractor for Home Depot. We had a sink install that needed to be completed and had already paid Home Depot for the job. The plumber came out a half hour past his scheduled window of time and before he even took a decent look at the project decided he couldn't do it without it costing """"at least a thousand dollars more"""" than what we had already paid Home Depot. He claimed our existing drains would not work with our new sink and that he had to cut into our wall to make it work. As I said, we had already paid for the work and I wasn't about to pay ARS one cent more, so I did not pay him anything and he left without doing a darn thing. We called our friend who owns Plumb Doctor (we would have used them in the first place as we trust them completely, but this job was booked through Home Depot) and they came out to look at our job. Not only could they do the job right with our existing plumbing, but they came in significantly lower than the """"at least a thousand more"""" that the ARS plumber had tried to quote to me. Needless to say -- STEER CLEAR! Other reviews here show the same. Shady business practices and always going for the ups-sell. Do yourself a HUGE favor and call Plumb Doctor (770.912.8922) and avoid ARS like the plague! If I could give them ZERO STARS, you can bet I would! (Adding, I have no personal affiliation with Plumb Doctor other than being a very satisfied repeat customer. We know and trust the owner from his work with us over the years. My review of ARS is based on personal experience and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Shady to the extreme!)

My experience was similar to others who waited for a technician well past the appointment window. The appointment was 1-4:00. No technician; no phone call. After several calls to the office, the technician called at 5:00 to say that he would be there in 2 hours. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm going to call Moncrief!

Just very disappointed about the dispatchers not calling at all when they are not going to make it to the appointments. I was scheduled 8-12. Did not receive a call until 2; was told that they would be able to fit me in after the guy finishes in the area. Still no call. I mean, cmon, I want to pay you to come do this service but if you cannot keep your appointments or even make a phone call to let me now, I am taking my business elsewhere.. #sorrynotsorry
