Bill, was a very professional and courtious individual who did an outstanding job. He explained everything thoroughly and got the job done time.

STAY AWAY! TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! I have filed a scam alert with the Better Business Bureau about this company. I experienced a sewage back up and
contacted ARS Rescue Rooter for service. They showed up and spent 2 hours ""attempting"" to clear the blockage. The plumbers said they could not clear it and would be back the next day with their supervisor. The next day the ""supervisor"" arrived and without doing any additional inspection, told me that the cause of the blockage was roots in the pipes, that they entire back yard would have to be dug up and all pipes replaced, at a tune of $11,000. They told me that they would give me a military discount (I'm active duty) bringing the price down to ""only"" $10,000 and that this project would take about a week to complete. Because my sewer and water would have to remain offline until it was fixed,I felt like it was an emergency and gave them a deposit for 10% down to start work immediately. Then I called a friend, who told me that it seemed like an extremely high amount for a plumbing job, and that I should get a second opinion, which I did. I called another plumber who told me over the phone to tell ARS to immediately stop working because they were known for scamming customers and lying about unnecessary repairs. I went outside and told the plumbers to stop working until I got a second opinion. At this point they had already started digging up my backyard.
When the other plumber from a different company arrived, he snaked the sewer line and cleared the blockage in less than 20 minutes. The blockage was simply baby wipes in old pipes. No roots or need for new pipes. He charged me $200 for the work. The second plumber was so professionally offended by the ARS guys that he approached the ARS plumbers who were still on scene and questioned them about why they couldn't clear the blockage - even though they had the exact same equipment he did. They got shifty-eyed and looked at the ground - some of them just walked away without responding. The second plumber actually offered to write a statement up for my complaint to the BBB backing up my comments.
This is very clearly ARS's business model: show up, pretend to not be able to solve a simple problem, and give a ridiculous quote for work that does not need to be done. After I told them to leave, they did not attempt to collect any payment for the time they spent the day before or the time they spent digging. Not that I would have paid them anything (I cancelled the deposit check), since all they did was put a hole in my lawn and waste my time, but a legitimate business would have attempted to collect on those labor hours. These guys are complete scam artists who should have their licenses revoked. License # Rescue Rooter 765155, ARS 791820.

I wish I could leave ZERO/ NO stars..... I contacted ARS because of the brand and reputation. I thought a big company like this would be the most legit. My two story home was experiencing plumbing problems so right away I called ARS because I figured the issue in my home would be resolved the RIGHT WAY. Ohhh no was I wrong. It's become a NIGHTMARE! They drilled a hole in my garage and even destroyed the floor, along with the concrete that leads into the garage. I was skeptical when I saw them drilling but figured they knew what they were doing. When I returned home due to having to leave work early because my roommate noticed the workers were lounging in my backyard; I noticed the workers were packing up, yet none of my sinks, tubs, toilets AKA The MAIN ISSUE I HIRED THEM FOR, was still clogged and now gunk/ hair/etc... was beginning to come out of the tub. In other words, nothing was fixed, I was still at square 1: still couldn't shower, toilet, sink. When I asked the workers why I still couldn't use my bathroom their only answer was it's going to be another $4500-$7000 on top of the $8,700 I was already paying. Beware of this company. I should have ran to Roto Rooter or better yet hired a non licensed worker, I bet they would have done a more professional job than the destruction I was left to clean up.

ARS,
Unrealiable ,they kept on rescduling me over a two week period . Last Friday resceduled me Four times.I asked for the first call today 9 am ,they called me and said the technition has not come in ,its now 10.00am .

I wish I can see a negative star here.
This company is very dishonest in labor charges compared to other companies. Please be super cautious before your decision.
We have hired ARS/rescue rooter company to install a gas pipe line and a new water pressure 10 days ago. They charged $875 then. I trusted them at that time.
Today I hired other licensed/bonded plumber to install a new toilet since ARS asked me to pay $495 on installation of a new toilet.
Today's plumber charged $125 for the same toilet work.
So I asked him to give me a free quote about what ARS did 10 days ago.
His quote is $345. I found out that ARS charged almost three times more than today's company.
I would like to suggest that people should avoid this very dishonest plumbing company.

I called for a leaky garbage disposal and needed it replaced. I got an appointment for the next day at a reasonable time. The tech showed up and glanced under my sink and said it would be $639! What?! I told him no thanks and that was crazy. Went to a home improvement store and bought a disposal for $100 then $79 for installation. I will NEVER use these people. A family friend who is a plumber, said that it was insane to even think they could charge that.

David came out for our clogged bathtub. He was very nice and was able to fix the issue quickly and for a fair price.

I called this morning and made an appt. to clear a blockage in my toilet. They sked. the appt. between 10am-12pm. At 11:45 they call to advise they could not make it at all today. No apology, just asked if they could come the following day so I made the appt. for 3pm the next day.
After thinking about it I decided not to use ARS Rescue at all so I called to xcl the appt.
Still no apology. Lousy customer service. If I would of seen their star rating on Yelp I would of never called them at all.

This company is a complete joke. Avoid at all costs. I scheduled an appointment for 10 am to noon today. Noon came and went so I decided to call them back and they stated sorry for the delay but it will be a few more hours. So I received no courtesy phone call and I had to call them myself while wasting my entire morning. They stated they would call me later with an update. They did call at 2 pm and stated they were still very behind and it was an unusually busy day. I should have read the reviews before scheduling so shame on me but it is the same story every day with this company per the reviews. It is now almost 6 pm so I called the company back again and they state they are still very busy and unlikely to get anyone out to me today. They offered to make me an appointment another day to which I said so I can wait another two hours? I said no thank you. Terrible communication and customer service. I canceled my request for service. Oh did I mention that because I had to wait for them I missed my daughter's softball game for absolutely no reason. Please read all the bad reviews and avoid this company at all costs unless you want to wait around all day.

I should have learned my lesson from my last review of this company, but here we go again. I figured I would give them another try, because after my last review of their company (I had given them a poor rating), the manger tried to resolve the issue. The manager blamed his overpricing on new technology that his company started using to compute billing quotes and he assured me it was being fixed. I recently called ARS to have them come inspect my kitchen sink for a leak.
They came to my residence on Monday February 4 over two hours after the scheduled time frame (once again they are still late on appointment times). The guy who came to my residence stated, I probably had a drain leak and I needed a leak inspection to really know for sure. He said that will cost me $250.00.
I thought that was kind of high but I figured let me see where this goes. I scheduled a visual water leak detection for Wednesday February 6 between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. They did not show up on Wednesday until 5:30 PM. When the guy showed up, he stated the visual water leak detection would cost $450.00 and the repair of the drain leak would cost at least $1,500.00.
I knew right there that this company has not changed. They are overpriced and never on time. Read other reviews, it's the same issues with this company. I would recommend to use another company. What's funny about this is that the plumber who came to my residence on Wednesday night, agreed with me that ARS is overpriced.
