C. B.These people are the most ridiculous and unprofessional group of morons I've ever encountered. I had an appt for 1-6. I sat at home as I work 1 hour away and can't get home in the 30-45 minutes they give you before they arrive. I got a call at 4:02, and returned the call at 4:12, and sat on hold for 5 minutes. The ignorant woman on the line informed me that they would not be coming again, as I missed their call. I explained to her, I called back in 10 minutes. I have other responsibilities than sitting on the phone. I also informed this woman how this was not explained before hand. They took their $75 fee for my home warranty deductible and now they are just full of ****. So, if you don't hear your phone ringing, you will not be serviced and they will tell you they are moving on to another client and will not put you back on the list today. The lady was soooooo nonchalant. I should have known, because while I was on """"hold"""" I heard another woman in the background telling people how their plumber was coming today either. These people are the worst. I shouldn't have trust the home warranty group's recommendation. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TACKY, UNRELIABLE, NONCHALANT """"business"""". Run, don't walk, run in the other direction. Your money has more worth than what you will get from this """"business"""".
Mickey M.Not long after I published my review, ARS replied and asked me to contact them so they could """"address this situation further"""". I did. They didn't. It's been two weeks with no response. As you probably already guessed, they only put those """"please contact us so we can resolve this"""" responses to try to make themselves look like they care. They don't. Please avoid them.
Micah did an outstanding job, very professional, very personable, a delight in every respect.
Can't comment on their work, because no one would every show up. I had an 8 - 12 o'clock appointment scheduled. At 12 I called asking about their arrival. They said their technicians were currently unavailable, but someone would come out as soon as possible. A few hours late I received a call to reschedule, because they could not fulfill their schedule. I was told I was to be the first call when they came back out. Fast forward to the second day I cleared my schedule for them. I called multiple times throughout the morning asking what time someone would show up. The third time I called was at 11, and they could still not tell me when because none of their technicians would pick up the phone for them. Two days wasted waiting on them, and no one ever showed up.
Go somewhere else. Tech arrived late and obviously didn't want to be at my house. Showed him where the leak had been coming from the toilet and leaking through the subfloor four days previously. He flushed the toilet several times, said no leak, told my Warranty Company no leak. and left. Not three minutes later the water started leaking. I took a video of """"no leak"""" and posted it to Facebook. Called his boss, Cathy who hid behind her customer service rep (who was no held), and had the audacity to ask that I reschedule the appointment for another day with them. Stay away. No customer service. Poor techs that don't know what they are doing. I think it is a ripoff scheme, where they take American Home Shield Warranty service visits, show up, do nothing, and take the service fee per visit.
So..... Here's another bad review. I wish I had looked on here before I called. I recently purchased a home and this was the company listed on all of the systems paperwork. So I """"assumed"""" if the previous owner used them multiple times they must be good and they should know the systems. Another example to never assume. I returned home from out of state to find my water heater leaking so I first cleaned up the water then call this company to see when they could come out. She says """"Let me check out schedule, I see our first available appointment is tomorrow between 9 and 1"""" so I confirmed that works. Someone will call 30 minutes before they arrive. Okay good. So day at 12:45 and no call so far I give them a call. I'm sure they are just a little backed up. I talked to the first person and she says let me try and get with a tech to see when they will arrive. I'm on hold for a few minutes. Another women comes on. Sir I don't have an appointment for you today. The note say you were quoted the after hours rate and would call back to schedule an appointment. Our next available appointment is tomorrow between 10 and 2. Say what? I'll spare you the the rest of the conversation but needless to say they accepted no responsibility for the information I was given and had no intention of even trying to work me in because of their error. I'll make sure to get rid of all there information. You've been warned.
Don I.ABSOLUTELY ZERO STARS. Only dealt with this terrible excuse for a company because they were referred by my home warranty company. First visit went ok. They """"fixed"""" my shower and my roommate signed since I was at work. Then two days later, it's broken again. So when I called to reschedule for them to come back and fix it again, here's where everything went wrong. They tell you between 8-1 then call you around 11-12 to say you're still on the schedule. Meanwhile by 3 PM you're still sitting at home wondering if they will even come. And this was after they already did this to me once- yes I had my friend sit at home from 8:00am-4:30 pm for absolutely nothing. Not exaggerating, my shower has been out of order for a MONTH! And then there's never an answer of if they are still going to make it that day or not, so basically stay home and pray they come. Unprofessional as they even hung up on my home warranty company representative when she called to find out what's going on. I """"was"""" on the schedule from 8-1 but now it's not guaranteed, tough luck, my problem. End result- home warranty company transferred my request to another company. Use your resources people! Stick to a small local plumber or a company with better reviews. I imagine not all their work is this bad, but I see the number of bad reviews. I gave them multiple attempts to fix the problem and was more than patient. I am finally glad I will never have to deal with this absolutely horrendous company with terrible time management. Get it together.
Wow - Maybe I should have read these reviews before I let ARS in my home. Looks like nobody has a good experience with them. So here goes another terrible review. Home Depot uses ARS. I bought two toilets from Home Depot, new countertops, sinks, and appliances. ARS didn't get anything right - not one thing. It all stared with the toilets. The plumber shows up and I honestly couldn't understand him. I asked him to please speak slowly and not as loud. Seriously, he yells in a thick Jamaican accent. He was pissed off that I lived in a high rise. He bitched the entire time. He didn't have a dolly. I mean, he's delivering toilets and he doesn't have a dolly. After the excruciating task of carrying those toilets across a parking lot and into the elevator, he enters my home mad as hell. In less than 30 seconds, he bent over and cut my pipe. Yes, cut it. My condo flooded as well as the neighbor below. He kept yelling at me that he thought it was copper. If a plumber can't tell the difference between copper and pvc pipe, then he shouldn't be a plumber. I spoke with the owner Donna - who was nice enough to send someone else out immediately. They put blowers and dehumidifies in my condo, my neighbors, and the hallways. What a nightmare. A restoration company is supposed to fix all of the walls, but I haven't heard anything in a month. Donna was friendly, so I continued to use them for the sink disconnect and reconnect. On the day my reconnect was scheduled, no one showed up. I called Donna and she was rude. I'd had it. I blew up, then she hung up. She lied, and one thing I can't take is a liar. They refused to take my phone calls. So I had to hire another plumber to connect my appliances (at triple the costs since I wasn't getting the HD price). I demanded Home Depot refund the portion of my bill that was ARS, and they did. So to recap, I STILL have a big hole in my wall, my neighbor still has a damaged ceiling - and I never heard from ARS or their restoration company again. The absolute worse experience with Home Depot or any plumber, contractor, etc that I've ever had. I caution everyone about this company. My biggest concern is if they are even licensed plumbers. Stay away.
I was referred to ARS by my home warranty because my hot water heater was not working. The technician had a multimeter to measure electrical current and found that there was current in the upper part of the heater but no current in the lower part. He then diagnosed my problem as broken water heater due to excessive water pressure. HE DIDN'T EVEN MEASURE THE PRESSURE!! I asked him how he knew that the problem wasn't due to a damaged heating element and he just shook his head and said """"because I went to school for 5 years that how I know""""..and he wanted to charge me 1400 dollars! I called another plumber. He measured the water pressure...it was normal. He also checked both my heating elements and one of them was blown...there was hole in the element. Total cost for repair ?150 dollars. These guys are scam artists. STAY AWAY.
We are being forced to use ARS/Rescue Rooter through our home warranty company. We had a hot water heater go out and have had to shut off our water. We confirmed with ARS at 2PM on Sunday that they would be out to our house the next day between the hours of 1-6PM. At 4:30PM we called to confirm they were still on their way. at 6:50PM they called us to let us know they """"weren't able to make it out"""". When asked when they could be here, the answer given was, """"we may be able to get someone out there around 9:30 or 10:30 in the AM. SERIOUSLY.......So we have taken off an entire afternoon and now they """"MAY"""" be here sometime in the AM. This company boasts an """"Exceptional Service Guarantee"""" on their website. I would appreciate it if they would, at minimum, do what they said they were going to do and then not leave a customer waiting until it is too late in the evening to arrange for alternative service. We are now going to be into day 3 without water and no firm response as to when they """"might"""" be here. A full day of work missed and they """"might"""" show tomorrow. We will see.
