Kevin M.Overcharge and will quote to replace things that don't need replacing. Will spend more time writing a quote than it would take to do the job they are quoting for.
Barbara L.If you don't mind being overcharged, give them a call. I needed some work done about a year ago and they came out quickly. The price they quoted was nearly four times the amount that we ended up paying and we had quality work done.
Jerry C.I had a blocked toilet. Arnold Plumbing charged me $119 to come out and immediately told me I needed to replace the toilet for which they charge $1800. I called another plumbing company and the drain pipe just needed descaling. Works fine now. Arnold also gave me an estimate of $1200 to replace a kitchen faucet and $2400 to install a water softener. I can't recommend them.
Michael B.I have been using Arnold & Sons services for a few years since moving into the area. They are responsive, thorough, service oriented, make sure the job is done right and the customer is happy. They are the only plumbing service I recommend to friends and family
Lisa H.We needed a new toilet in our bathroom because our 25 year old was failing!!! I have been putting off getting a new toilet for a really long time because I'm short and need a short toilet but stores only carry taller toilets!!! Robert Boland and Dale saved the day again for us! Robert was able to find a 14"" tall toilet for me!!! I am blown away! They took such good care of us! I always appreciate Roberts because he looks out for the customer and is always real about what is going on with our plumbing issues! Thank you Arnold & Sons for having such incredible people working for you!!!
Also it says I am in California (why I do not know) but my city and state is Peoria, IL!
Doesn't stand behind their work. They charged me $2300 to put a water heater in and now my kitchen sink has no hot water. They will not fix it. I noticed 2 days after they put the water heater in that the top had water on it. They want to charge me to come look at it! Absolutely ridiculous! When I called another plumber to come fix the issue, he said let me guess. It was Arnold's and Sons! They account for 50% of my new customers! Save your money and call somewhere else!
Angela C.My 82 year old mother had a leak in the crawlspace of her home and called this company for a quote. They quoted her 4600. ( which included a 516.00 senior discount) Before they could get to her residence to fix the issue, I had a professional friend of mine take a look at it and all that was wrong was a disconnected shower drain pipe, which he fixed in 10 minutes. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS !!
Way way too expensive for no reason.
Because of an emergency I used them. If you find somebody else , go for it. Nothing special about these guys. False advertising saying they have 24 hour's service.
They only have 24 hours answering service.
I should have read the feedbacks before I called Arnold & Sons Plumbing. I now see that many people have had the very same negative experience that I had yesterday. I needed a kitchen faucet installed and a replacement part for the pump in the barn. Instead of giving me a quote, the plumber went out and sat in his truck for at least half an hour writing up exorbitant estimates for things we didn't want or need--like a new water heater even though the current one is working fine and is still under warranty, or digging a 60-foot trench in front of our house because ""maybe"" there was a leak. Then we had to pay him a trip charge of $109. My advice is to stay away from Arnold Plumbing. I wouldn't trust them for any job.
Thomas M.I called Arnold and Sons to install a toilet. Last year I had a toilet installed in another house, and it cost $250. Arnold's did a walkthrough of the house and presented me a plan to completely update the plumbing - for $10,000. I expressed shock of course. So he showed me some lesser jobs that they could do which would cost less than $10,000, and which I never asked for and couldn't afford anyway as I live on SocialSecurity. I told him I just wanted the toilet installed. So he told me it would cost $450 to install the toilet. The new tile that had been sitting in my garage for two weeks and I couldn't imagine going through this process again with a different plumber, so I bit the bullet. But seriously? $450 to install a $250 toilet? I will never call Arnold's again. What a rip off! They installed the toilet but left some gaps between the toilet and the floor, which I think should probably have been sealed to prevent leakage.
