In mid-June we realized that our decrepit HVAC system was on its last legs. We had the ducting system examined and it was in rough shape with holes and gouges which resulted in poor air quality. We got quotes from several HVAC contractors. Armstrong Mechanical came out on top. We got a top rated Lennox system, completely new ductwork, and insulation blown in, all at a very reasonable price. Armstrong completely replaced the 3 foot plenum, which is the stack over the blower unit that connects to the attic ductwork. Some companies just slide a new blower unit in and connect it to the original plenum which can be caked with years of dirt. Armstrong installed duct elbows over raised rafters and dampers in the ducts. Both improve the airflow to each room. Armstrong also put in all new boots, the metal sleeve that joins the air vent grate to the ducting. Our old ones were caked with residue from when our home was renovated and the ceilings textured. They added a vent to our stale walk-in closet. The air intake vents are embedded in the concrete foundation of our home and could not be replaced. However, the installation techs cleaned them using an extended vacuum hose. We had a glitch a couple of weeks after installation arising from fluctuations in the electrical grid due to Lubbock's changeover to ERCOT. Armstrong sent someone over within a couple of hours of our phone call. They installed a surge protector at no cost to us under our service contract. Armstrong Mechanical's Comfort Specialist David T and their service techs were wonderful to work with. They were very friendly, helpful, and patiently explained things. The installation was done carefully and efficiently. The service techs kept the areas they worked in clean. We strongly endorse Armstrong Mechanical and Lennox. If you need a new HVAC system or air conditioning/heater servicing, then you "Better Call Armstrong!"v

After installing our unit less than four years ago following a house fire, we've had to have Armstrong come back at least once a year to fix it. This summer, we're currently at the end of week 2 with no working unit, even after having a technician working on it for an entire day (after showing up nearly an hour later than we were told and having to come back for a second time in the same day). We keep being told that they are going to call back but at 7:30 on a Friday evening and no call back (though we were told to expect a call at 2), we realize we will have another weekend without air in our home despite the 90+ degree temperatures outside. A unit less than four-years-old shouldn't cause this much trouble. We were also charged for services last year that were covered under warranty. We have NOT been impressed by Armstrong at any point and would not recommend their services at all!

We made an appointment to have our kitchen sink fixed as it is leaking to the point of being unusable. When we called they said it would be a couple of days out so we assumed they were just really busy and accepted that. After waiting on them for the entire 4 hour window that they provided us yesterday, they never showed. They never called to tell us that they wouldn't make it either. Today we called assuming that we'd be seen this morning for being blown off yesterday - of course not. We may or may not be seen after 4 this afternoon. We will never be using Armstrong again. They obviously do not care about their customers.

They claim their diagnostic is free but that is not true. I asked for a diagnostic only for my central heat. The tech repaired it partially without my permission and charged me for it. He is not able to completely repair it because they claim the parts are not available. I know parts are available because I had another company give me an estimate before them.

Great Company with friendly staff. Our AC stopped working on a hot summer day. They were able to get to us very quickly. Every single person we spoke with was extremely kind and helpful. Our service tech was very nice, respectful and knowledgeable. He quickly fixed our problem and answered any questions we had. Every single time we have used this company for air or plumbing, we have been pleased. They are honest and reasonably priced.

Great service and very thorough. Gabino was
our plumber and he did an outstanding job. I spoke with someone at PHCC ( Plumbing , Heating Cooler Contractor ) for Texas and asked for a recommendation in Lubbock. Armstrong Plumbing was the referral. I will definitely call for any future needs.

Armstrong has proven year after year they are the best! Their assessment, installation, and maintenance is superb. Chris and Carlos came out today for biannual service and were amazing. I trust their expertise completely. Over the years, Armstrong has saved us money by researching and finding things to be under warranty when we didn't know they were, etc. We are "Better Call Armstrong" people. :-)

Had a guy come out to my home to get a quote then weeks later was told I couldn't get a quote because the guy is too busy.

Why was he able to come out in the first place? How do they run a business where they can't give quotes?

All of their reviews on other sites had way more than any other plumber in Lubbock, so where are they getting all these customers to review if they can't even take new orders? Notice yelp only has three...

Awesome Experience with Armstrong Mechanical from the first phone call to Aaron Copeland ( the plumber that came to the house). Courteous, professional, and very informative. I couldn't have ask for a better ending to what could have been a nightmare situation. The plumber that I had been using couldn't get to me for a few days, had been seeing the Armstrong trucks in the area for a few years and decided to give them a try, and very glade we did. They will be our plumbers going forward....
