Would have to say the same thing. The service is a total rip off. Charged us for time that they came they never fixed the problem. Charged us 3x in labor for what the past cost. They basically stole the broken part so they can can take it back to where they got it from and get a credit on it, since they only refurb. the part. They don't give you estimate whatsoever, and they spring a bill on you. Came about 3 or 4 times because they never fixed the problem until the last time and they expect you to pay for the other times they didnt fix anything. Never will use again.
We found out that the total amount of the repairs including parts should of been a maximum of $700. We were charged nearly $1300. We did ask for estimates when the 2nd tech showed up but it went through one ear and out the other. They bill you for hours but never disclose how many hows they were there and we have the the exact number. What's extremely shady about this company is the fact that they basically stole the broken part and used a refurb. to fix the problem. There is no doubt that they are going to take that broken part back to where they bought the refurb part from and get a few hundred dollars. Instead of creditting us that money for the stolen part, they pocketed it.
Always ask for an estimate upfront, if you don't get solid answers and what you want, do not use the contractor, 9/10 times something is shaddy about that company. To Catherine V. regarding plumbing, we had a bunch of contractio's who were so called plumbers take us for $700 and then wanted another $2000 for a bunch of lies. They destroyed our landry room left broken pipes around. Called Roto Rooter and guy did it for $230, fixed the problems the other moron plubmers caused and fixed it in 1 hour. Other plumbers took 3 to 4 days to sink a pipe in the wrong direction. But Arlington ripped us off big time on the heater that had to be fixed. They charge just for showing up, regardless of whether or not they fixed the problem. We got charged 8 hours make believe work, when it was actually not even 2 hours. The first was to place the thermostate, even though it was functional we wanted it changed, 20 minutes tops. Second visit wasnt even anyhting $400 to strip 2 wires and then leave, come on? and tell us you wer there for another 6 hours to replace the controler unit. Total bull! Will never use them again!
Barbara S.My water heated rusted out and flooded my basement. I contacted Arlington Plumbing at about 10am and they were there to assess the situation in minutes. By 3pm, the mess was gone, the unit was ordered, delivered and installed. The workers were courteous and efficient and even took away the old heater and packing. Great job!
Their prices have really gone up. $456 to snake our drain is a rip off. It wasn't even a week end. They were here for less than 30 minutes. We should have asked for the price before they came. we were shocked! Next time, we will call around. Econo rooter even offers a $60 off coupon!
