Do not use this contractor and demand a new contractor if assigned by your home warranty. This contractor was assigned to me by First American home shield. I had a backed up toilet (no other drainage issues in the house). I believe a clog is forming due to bad toilet not flushing properly. The contracted only attempted to snake a few feet for 10 minutes and then agreed that I needed a new toilet and they would contact me to schedule that install. 3 days go by and no one contacts me. I contact ARK, and they tell me it is due to calcium build (whatever that means) and it is not covered by my home warranty. I call home warranty and they say ARK said I do not have a main line cleanout so they cant clear the drainage issue. HOWEVER, I do have a main line cleanout but ARK never walked my property to even know this. It has now been a week without a toilet and they are making me be the one to hunt them down and solve this issue. After multiple run-arounds, a new contractor has been assigned to my claim.

They spent as little time as possible and my guess is they routinely lie to the home warranty company to do as little as possible and collect their service fee. I wish no ill on anyone, but this company/owner do not deserve to be in any ones home.

First American Home warranty send this Horror to my house to fix a lick on a water heater. March 9 2022 , said it can not be fixed and will replace as Home Warranty should! . Water Heater is still under manufacturer warranty all they had to do was to pick a new one paid , ready in stock from any Home Depot. Said they have ordered parts and are waiting for it! Two weeks later I called again they said yap we have your new Water Heater but $500 for Modifications or we will not bring it over, now it seems to be Hostage water heater, Home warranty said well we know but we are in El Salvador and we will check in to it! after weeks of water lick now the walls are molded too. They never had ordered anything from Manufacturer but had called the company of March 25 2022 to let them know they will replace the old one ... So I guess they thought they would get money from Manufacturer too according to First American Supervisor Christopher A R K Plumbing did not tell them the unit was under Manufacturer warranty! I was asked to get second opinion but they would not get second opinion because they trust the A R K as thier trusted contractor! I did ask 3 different plumbers that could not see any modification needed it is a Water Heater.... one said the only thing that could be in need of change is the water line which is $10 if they want to really charge for it $20. A R K never itemized or gave reason for $500 just because it is thier fee pay or go fly Kit. After days of run around they called today to schedule for monday 4/18/2022 at 11 am and only get $500 nothing more! I am sick , stock at home with out water heater with two kids in the house ,so I agreed to pay .... Said I have to give them my credit card, I told them I will pay cash, the owner whom I did not get her name as she was very nasty and rude said I was playing games and go deal with Home warranty and hung up on me. I see all the reviews I have first hand experience, It was not my choice , was sent by First American Home warranty which had assured me when I was buying the warranty and told the Agent Christian I had bad experience with American Home shield plumber that charged us $220 to put a earthquake band around the water heater which is normally $5 that this kind of thing did not happen with First American! I have contacted Attorney today and last minute find someone that is on his way to fix it should be done by tomorrow. Do not hire them for anything if home warranty forced them on you refuse them from get go. $85 service fee Home warranty said my only option is to take $55 buy back offer from them . My first claim after paying for Home warranty for about 2 years. 3 year old Rheem water heater under warranty for 3 more years or maybe even longer.
Sorry to ever even had to talk to whoever answered the phone. Nasty all around stay away.

We were using our home warranty with Ark pluming (they were assigned to us). We were supposed to get a new garbage disposal as the previous one leaked. They came by in a timely manor and installed it. We were told we had to pay $195 for a pipe that wasn't included. Fine even though it seemed high. So the guy installs it and leaves. He literally left an exposed, open pipe and closed the case. I have no idea why he would leave a pipe like this. Apparently they don't know what they are doing.

Worst experiance with this plumber and rude and racist customer service. We had an issue with plumbing in our guest bathroom. We went through home warrenty and they sent out this plumber. The plumber who came over an hour late and did not do any work. He claimed that there was not enough description on the work order and that he could not do the work due to the lack of description. I was not home when this happened and my wife and her mom were the ones who talked to the plumber. I called the plumbing company the next day and explained what happened. The representative I spoke to said my wife and her mom were wrong and did not understand what the plumber was saying. She said the plumber assessed the problem and explained that they do not do the kind of work that we need done and to call home warranty to update the work order and send someone else. THE PLUMBER DID NOT DO THIS. All the plumber did was tell them there was not enough information on the work order and that he is not able to do the work. The representative said my wife is wrong and asked me ""IS ENGLISH YOUR WIFE'S SECOND LANGUAGE BECAUSE SHE CLEARLY DID NOT UNDERSTANF THE PLUMBER"" My wife and her mom are of Asian decent but have both have lived in America their entier life and English is their ONLY language. They also have no accent what so ever. So you have 1.) A plumber who is incompetent who possibly refused to do work because of my wife's ethnicity and 2.) You have a RACIST plumbing company who claims my wife can't understand English. I truly cannot believe this plumbing company is in business and will never use them ever again. There is no place for businesses who treat their customers this way. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND IF YOUR HOME WARRANTY SENDS THEM, REFUSE TO USE THEM LIKE THEY REFUSED TO DO WORK FOR US.

I submitted a claim about 6 weeks ago via First American Home Warranty (FAHW). There were two problems: A leaky shower valve and a leaky toilet. Two weeks later, they sent a plumber to evaluate the needed repairs. The tech seemed totally ignorant of what needed to be done. He was supposed to order parts. Three more weeks passed, and I was still waiting for parts. After I threatened to cancel the service call with them, they finally set up an appointment. That was a no-show, telling me by Illana from ARK that ""the plumber was on his way"". We scheduled a new appointment for the following day 12-1 PM. The tech did not show on time. After I called twice, I was told by Illana that ""They are wrapping it up"". The techs arrived at about 4 PM. As soon as they arrived, it became clear to me that they brought the wrong part for the shower valve that they opened and then had to close without repairing the leak. Thereafter, they attempted to fix the toilet. I advised them that it was not a 'flapper' issue, but an internal leak between the toilet tank and the bowl. They did not listen to me and installed the wrong flapper that was displaced as soon as I flushed the toilet. I had to stop the water supply to the toilet and disable it by shutting the water off. At that stage of events, I became frustrated and called ARK. I spoke with Illana about what happened, and she was rude, accusing me that I told the tech what to order to begin with and I am to be blamed for the wrong part. A total lie!!! I only showed them parts of another similar valve that was repaired by an ARK tech beforehand under a different claim. Can I tell the techs what to order???... Bottom line, ARK IS fundamentally DISHONEST. They lie to their customers and to the home warranty. I have been using home warranty services for many years. I have never had to deal with such an unscrupulous company before. ARK is picking up the ""easy"" jobs. When they are assigned a more difficult job, they try to avoid it by delaying it with plenty of excuses and lies, I say, STAY AWAY FROM ARK!!! I am submitting this report, so you will know how this vendor is treating their customers. FAHW should not use ARK at all.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLUMBER! There is a reason they only have 2.5 rating. God help you if your warranty company assigns them to you. DON'T LET THEM LEAVE YOUR HOUSE WITHOUT MAKING SURE THINGS WORK because they will never come back and if you call the office the owner is rude and refuses to disclose costs that she AS AN OWNER would know. I have a toilet that has been nonfunctional since their Dec 23rd visit.
